Rp between Myself, and Peppermint Coffee

Time was passing quickly for the female. The storm had passsed by only a few nights ago
leaving a hot, dry stretch of land that she called home. The demon lands werent the most luxurious, in fact
they tended to be rather dull and lifeless. The ground was gray with wear, and cracked and caked. She was sure that
it had been a watering hole once before, the way the ground looked as if the water had dried up and left the land barren
and unneeded. She stretched out her claws, her tongue curling out from her maw as she yawned. Standing again, she padded
over to the river that wasnt too far away from the homelands. She was thirsty, something this midday heat did to her usually.
She panted, trying to maintain her body temperature, and she flicked her tail at imaginary flies.

Her mind had been on her mother lately, and not for good reasons really. She was starting to wonder why her mother had left
her to her father. She loved father, but she felt shunned by mother, and.. That wasnt a pleasant feeling. Not that she was unaware
of just why she stayed with father, but still somehow she held both of them accountable for it. Lowering her maw to the water, she drank
greedily, letting the cold liquid course down her throat.
She smiled, sighing, and laid on her belly and began relaxing. Maybe today would be rather decent.

Time passed too quickly for Tuc. Since she had her babies, they grew to adult and did whatever the hell they wanted. Tuc didn't raise them. Not really. It was all on Roth because she didn't feel up to the challenge, ever. They were his kids, after all. The memory of the pale one both made her heart hurt and made her rage. Roth didn't say he came from a pale background. If she knew that she wouldn't have let him have his way with her. That was really the main reason she gave up all her cubs. Because of that pale one she had to send away with her pale grandmother. Pale demons pissed her off to no end.

Her mind wandered back to a certain someone as she walked around the pride, heading for the lake that they harbored as a watering hole. Her black half blended in with in with the pride where her blindingly red paws stood out. Black eyes focused on the lake and then found a figure near it. Who it was, she didn't care, but she walked away from them, a few feet away, even, and started drinking, unconcerned with everything.

She looked just like her mother, though she looked just like her father too. She supposed she was a good mix and when she stood next to one or the other,
she took more after them it seemed. Her tail swished back and forth, dusting against the earth, and she'd lift it up, only to swish it across the earth once more.
Her red eyes, a gleaming ruby color that came from her father. She smiled, her fangs gleaming in the sunshine that now plagued the lands. She preferred the stormy
weather, the clouds were darker, and home felt more.. like home.
A noise came to her ears, and they swiveled back and she turned her head to look. The approaching figure looked oh so familiar, familiar enough to make her heart pound
from the anxiety of such a meeting. She hadnt really wanted to run into her mother, she just wasnt up for such a thing. Mother had given her up, and Flye had been left
with feelings that she couldnt get rid of.

Her ears stayed back for a minute, until she relaxed and let them sit normally atop her head once again. She was at a loss for words, she had nothing really to say.. Or
she did, but they were things likely better left unsaid. So she just stared, watching her mother edge closer and closer, and she wondered if mother would even recognize her,
or if shed walk right by.

She looked up from the water and looked straight at her daughter. She knew who it was. Tuc was not up for the questions that were bound to happen, so before the quesitons, Tuc would clearly explain things to her. Clearing her throat, Tuc sat back on her haunches and then walked closer, sitting down again once she was next to Flye.

"I gave you up because I didn't want cubs. I was too young. And your father gave me a pale cub, which I sent with your pale grandmother you never met."

She was so good at breaking the ice, wasn't she? She didn't remember this one's names, but she knew it was hers. It just reeked of Roth.

When Tuc sat a few feet from her, and looked her dead in the eyes, Flye held her ground. She may have been slightly nervous, but she
wasnt about to let it show. She was a large lion, taking after Roth in frame. She used her weight to her advantage sometimes, though right now
she stayed on her belly. Licking her paw, she placed it back against the earth and listened ot what Tuc had to say. She was caught off guard by the
directness of the answers, and she shook her head in an effort to clear it to try and piece together what it was her mother was saying. She had given
away a brother? A brother that was pale no less.. She shuddered at the thought. That could have been her! Oh well, she supposed she was lucky for her
pelt color, as she had always felt.

So she wasnt wanted. Thats why mother had given her up. That made her boil, and a bitterness started rising in her throat. She tried not to show her distaste
to such a statement but she held it back. If there was something that she knew, it was that she'd be a better parent than either of her own. She wanted cubs,
if only because they would do what she wanted, but would also love her. Something that even her demon longed for.

"Sounds convenient.." SHe said, looking her mother dead in the eyes and holding her ground. She sat up, so she sat on her haunches, looking almost like an Egyptian cat in the
way she sat. Her tail flicking irritably back and forth.

"Says alot about how much I meant to you, eh?" She asked, more of a statement than a question. She didnt show that it hurt her though, she knew that she shouldnt
show weakness to a demon. So she merely made it seem like she had always known how it was Tuc felt.

Tuc nodded, not taking offense to any of this. A grin spread across her face as she watched her daugther try to fight her emotions. Tuc had to deal with that at one point. But she didn't care if her family hated her. She didn't like anyone, really. Licking a few water droplets off her muzzle she gave a laugh.

"It says that you come from a pale background so you're bound to wind up with pale children. Either kill them or send them away when they happen. I can not stand them. If I see them around the pride, I hope you know, that I'll take to bullying them. I'm heartless, and a b***h. That what you're trying to say?"

Her eyes went dark and she looked at her mother as if she was on shaky ground. If her mother took to even touching
her children she would be forced to attempt to kill her. She didnt want to kill mother, hell, she never even wanted to
fight her.. But her children would be true demons, whether they be pale or not. She looked away, and let a sneer appear on her features.
She took a few breaths to calm herself, before looking back at her mother. The fact that Tuc laughed irritated her to absolutely no end.
But again, she held the anger in. It was something she was good at, controlling what her anger and her demon made her do. She was always
in control of herself.

"Father is a true demon, whether he gave you a pale child or not. Maybe you doomed a cub with a demon stronger than any of our own, away
to deal with it on his own. You abandoned him, more than you abandoned me. You should have killed him if you were going to do anything..
You may have shunned him to a life of sadness and confusion."
She responed, looking at her mother once more.

"In a way, I probably gave him a better life than having to deal with your father. This way the pale one, who didn't even have a name, doesn't have to know about who he was supposed to have been. You? You and your siblings..." She laughed, a throaty laugh, and she continued to give an uncaring look. "Really. Your father is a true demon? He seems more like a pushy little boy to me. I only got with him to piss my mother off for having cubs so young. It wasn't love, or even like. I loathe your father."

Black eyes looked away, as if done with this conversation and she turned back to the water, lapping up at it again.

Tuc may have acted as if she was done with the conversation, but she was far from it. She growled.
She loved her father, despite his issues and faults. He wasnt much of a father, but he was a role model.
She knew that her father hated his cubs, but it was only because none had showed the promise he had expected.

"Well.. If hes a little boy, yet you got with him to piss of your own mother. Seems like the little cub would
be you, mother. Not father." She responded, watching her mother lap the water. She didnt move from her seated position,
only turned her head to continue speaking to her. Flye sat tall, and she was proud. No one could tell her she had a bad life.
Ever. She had raised herself but she was happy.

"Hes a true demon, and my cubs will be too. Unless you think so little of your blood." She snorted.
"Even if you do think less of me, because Im of fathers blood too, my cubs will be a pure blood. Strong, like their own father."
She said with a nod. Her fling with Phlegyas was merely just that.. a fling that had her crushing a bit. She would lose the crush
once she got what she wanted..

"Say what you want, little girl." She lookd back to her daughter and studied her. There was a look in Flye's eyes that looked so much like Roth it made her want to cuff Flye in the ears. A growl came from her throat and her nose wrinkled, showing off her teeth. Oh, she wanted to hurt this little girl for acting like a huge slut like her father. She didn't care for incubi or succubi. They were all whores and sluts. Sure they made the pride larger, but they'd let anyone be one. And that meant pale demons a plenty.

"Good for you and you wild dreams. Don't get your hopes up, little girl, or you'll be dangerously hurt."

Flye growled, and she could feel her demon stirring within her, telling her that she wasnt getting the reaction from
Tuc that she had wanted. She had hoped maybe for a reunion.. Flye had been open to it anyway, but now her heart was closed,
beating merely to survive. Inside she felt like something had been ripped from her, though she had to remind herself you couldnt miss what you
never had.
"I do say what I want. Whenever I want. I raised myself, I should get that right." She answered, standing from her sitting position. Her body was large,
though still feminine. Markings had come from mother, but her father had given her the sheer size. She knew why Tuc hated her. She knew she could see Roth
within her. Which of course, Roth was her father. Tuc was under the impression however, that she had been raised by Roth, to do what Roth wanted. When in actuality,
she had raised herself with rarely ever any input from Roth.
Flye was far from a slut, though if she had been called one aloud by her mother, she'd make sure to inform her mother that SHE had been the one to have sex with another
that she didnt like. She had been easy enough to get pregnant, and who knew..Maybe she hated Roth because Roth had left her after growing bored of her. He had said that
Tuc had been a fling, but maybe he had lied. It wasnt impossible!

"How exactly would I be hurt? For a girl who raised herself and only has herself, I think Im doing damn good." She growled, and sauntered off. So much for a reunion. Now she was reassured. She had no desire to see her mother again.
