Balia'azima awoke that evening slowly, her juvenile body aching greatly as she stretched and felt her back pop several times. She had slept quite soundly that day and could only assume that her sleep was so deep that she didn't notice herself being kicked by one of her siblings. They must have had a restless sleep, or purposefully kicked her. Shababa would possibly purposefully kick her, but she didn't think Tamin would.
Finishing her stretching, she rubbed her eyes warily and went out into the common dens area looking for either of her siblings. Some days it was hard to spot Shababa, as her sister and herself looked so much like the rest of the Verge'lian line that you'd often wonder if they were simply Hakuna's children and not her son's. Balia's brother, Tamin, was much easier to spot. He had the coloring of their mother, that odd reddish-brown that reminded her of the wet clay parts of the prides lands had.
"Tamin," Balia called, her voice sweetly splitting the air as the other children went about playing their games or waking and coming out of their dens, "Tamin where are you?"

Tamin had slipped from the den before Balia had woken up, Shababa wasn't even up at that point. He was going to spend his time learning more about fighting and hunting only he couldn't find anyone to teach him. Everyone seemed to be busy so with a huff he had stormed off when not even one adult turned to look at him when he cleared his throat loudly in a attempt to get attention.
Bored out of his skull Tamin had decided that what he wanted to do was lounge just to the right of the den entrance, where he wasn't immediately visible. He had apparently missed Shababa as he was looking for a teacher but he could still hear Balia breathing slowly in sleep.
He dozed until he heard Balia stretching and waited in silence as his darker sister exited the den. With a evil smile he slipped behind her and waited... and then just when she least expected it, "BOO!"

Balia wasn't one to easily get scarred. She always faced whatever challenge her head on, or she managed to coax someone into doing it for her with her own naturals charms. However, this did not exempt her from being snuck up on and to be honest her she was not all that great at detecting when someone was creeping along behind her. In the future she would try her best to be in the other person's position, but for now she was the unsuspecting victim.
As soon as her brother yelled 'Boo!' behind her, Balia found herself several inches in the air. Her hackles raised, causing her naturally beautiful coat to puff out like the fluffiest of bunnies. She almost thought her heart was going to beat right out of her chest there and than.
"Tamin!" She hissed, whirling around as soon as she was able to regain her footing and give him the biggest pout ever, lifting her paw and bopping him square on the nose. She tried to play it off cooly, even though she knew she was caught square in her act, "You.... You startled me."

Tamin laughed and laughed and laughed. He laughed so hard he was gasping. He expected a reaction from her but not that much of one . The look on her face when she landed and faced him was priceless. He figured that she would do her best to get him back, and likely succeed, but it was still worth it just so he could see her face.
Still gasping and a with a wide grin on his face Tamin said, "Startled my tail. I scared ya' and it was funny." The little lion finally caught his breath but couldn't help the grin still plastered to his face. "You know I'm just messing with ya'. So what are you up to because I can't find anything to do other then pester you." He really did like spending time with his sister so his a** backwards offer was genuine if a bit odd.
