"Come along Lochan, don't be dawdling" Maua scolded the older cub as she paced through the area - truly this was hardly the place she wanted to be spending her time but Lochan was getting older and to be frank it was high time the muddy brown cub learned his place in the Pride. He didn't belong on the mountain and all to soon he would have to move down here.

As she had agreed to care for him until that point Maua had also decided to see to it that he became a useful member of the Pride, or a useful as one could be when they weren't noble creatures. Which meant - unfortunately for her- that she'd have to spend time slumming it down here with the heathens for a while. A sacrifice she could surely make for a little while to satisfy the King whom had wanted these cubs adopted in the first place.

"Do you have any sort of idea's about what you might like to be?" She asked him and at his perplexed look she sighed and glanced around "Well this is where the costumers tend to work, perhaps we can find one to speak with" she suggested, eyes already roaming about for a likely candidate - it was hard to miss the pink colored creature. "You there" She called out as she spotted Kihalua already striding towards him. "I'd like to have a few words with you"

Lochan topped eyeing one of the lions they had passed and turned about to hurry after Maua as she called for him to stop slowing her down. She was a busy lioness - he knew that, especially with all those new cubs to look after and he'd already learned the pointlessness of arguing with her. "Coming" He told her, bounding to her side as she asked her second question.

"I hadn't really thought about it" He told her with a perplexed look on his face, there was so many choices really - he wasn't sure exactly how he was supposed to figure any of this out. Speaking with one seemed like a good idea - perhaps they could give him a bit more insight then the off handed comments Maua had been able to provide him. He hurried to follow after her when she strode off again anxious to keep from being scolded again.

Kihalua hunched over his work station, nimbly constructing a mighty cape for one of the players in an upcoming event. And even though the play was to be a tragedy, at least his costume wouldn't be. He poured every ounce of happiness he could into the piece, because after all, wasn't he over flowing with it? A new pride, a great position, and a nice girl to fawn over.

Life really was on the up and up.

Dropping his paint brush with a startled gasp, Kihalua raised his head, eyes widening at the sight of a Noble. It wasn't her station, however, that had his curiosity on edge, but the youth that trailed behind her. What in the world was she doing with a cub like that?

"What can I do for you today, mi'lady?" Maybe Pur really had come through, and sent him a customer after all. They certainly did look related, but this female was older, so instead of a sister....Kihalua paled, but never lost that thousand watt smile.

Maua of course had no knowledge of this lions past dealings with her daughter - oh she'd known Pur had come down looking for a trinket a time or two and Maua had certainly blessed this endeavor on her daughters part, there was nothing wrong with wearing pretty things after all...but while Pur might have told her of the wares she was looking at she'd never bothered to bore her mother with the names and descriptions of the Lions who had made them...or any other artisan she might have come across in her searches.

She was merely glad that this beast seemed willing to behave properly and acknowledge her request with the proper sort of speed and politeness. He actually seemed happy to be serving her - or so his smile would indicate - which was a refreshing change of pace and made her just a bit more inclined to treat him kindly.

"My adopted son Lochan here has a need to see the sort of careers he might take up when he comes of age" She explained - and really that ought to sum up the entire reason she was speaking to him quite well.

"Sorry if we've interrupted you" Lochan told the pink lion with a glance at Maua to see if she would chastise him for the apology but a nothing was forthcoming he decided that Maua had no problems with him apologizing - though clearly she never would never had uttered the words herself. Wouldn't be proper Lochan reminded himself before turning his attention back to the pink lion, tilting his head slightly so that he could better see the lion from his good eye.

"Lady Maua thought perhaps you might be able to tell me something about what it is you do here in the pack? She wishes for me to have a good life once I am to leave the mountain due to age and lack of color" He explained, an explanation which earned the boy a nod of praise from his noble keeper.

Adopted son? Oh! So he was from the same group of cubs as his lady love's adopted daughter. While a part of him yearned to know what Lochan could tell him about her past, Kihalua knew better than to press the issue with his Noble mother at his side.

"Oh, I see then." Kihalua stood straighter, his luxurious mane fanning out around his smiling face. He looked down at the younger male with a light hearted chuckle, resisting the urge to ruffle the cubs mane. "It's not an interruption, so much as...an unexpected visit. A tour, really." He stepped to the side, indicating his intentions before leading the way around his work area.

"A good life starts with a good goals, as I'm sure Lady Maua has already told you. That being said, starting out early as an Apprentice in your chosen field will benefit you greatly." Or so he was told. In truth, Kihalua thought it was all bull s**t, and that you needed a talent to work in the trade, but that wouldn't be what the Noble wanted to hear at all.

"Tell me this, Lochan; what do you know thus far about costumes?"
