Angana stretched as the afternoon sun prickled at the fur on her back. Learning to hunt seemed exciting seeming at first, the thrill of chasing prey and learning to tear apart a creature to devour it. Learning to pounce and claw at bundles of leaves day after day was just boring and it was all just for food. Food wasn't THAT interesting. It was dead! It wasn't even that interesting when it was alive.

"This is stupid." she grumped, flopping forward onto a rock to rest for a time. There had to be something more interesting to do than this.

Jvala was bored and when Jvala was bored she usually would seek out her siblings in order to torture them by forcing them to do things they didn't really want to, and if that didn't work then she just said terrible things to them until they gave in or fought her.

Jvala liked fighting.

Spotting her sister Angana, Jvala approached. It was hard to remember who was older and who was younger in a family so huge, but Jvala didn't really care about all that stuff. It didn't really matter, honestly.

What mattered was getting what she wanted.

"Hey, Angana," she trilled sweetly as she approached her sister. "What are you up to?"

The dark furred cub gave her sister a slow look, not buying the sweetness for a moment. If Jvala was addressing her like that - or addressing her AT ALL, then Jvala was BORED. The two of them weren't close - but then, Angana wasn't close with ANY of her siblings, more interested in doing things to interest her and avoiding their strange behaviors. However, if she and her sister had one thing in common, it was getting bored easily.

"Hello, Jvala." she said smoothly, not doing much more than look at her sister. "I'm not up to anything. What are you up to?"

Jvala snorted softly, seating herself near her sister before she slowly began grooming her paw. She wasn't really grooming with the intention to clean herself, it was just more of a 'grooming because I don't have anything else to do' type of thing. "Well," Jvala said thoughtfully, glancing at Angana out of the corner of her eye, "I'm not doing anything either. Fancy that. Maybe we should find something to do."

She excelled at coming up with things to do.

"We should steal Loke's wormee."

Angana followed her sister with her eyes, but returned her head to her paws once more, more comfortable in that position anyway. She was wary, for Jvala might try something with her if she could, but till the other made a move in a threatening manner, she wasn't going to make any hostile gestures. She may not be too eager about hunting lessons, but Angana was paying at least some attention.

"We could. Though what would we do with it once we stole it? Hide it? Not really that interesting." It was a possibility at the very least. But then again, there was also the business that Jvala would probably find a way to pin it on her in the end. That and it required effort.

Pff, Angana had a point, she supposed, but it wasn't a very good one. Jvala really wanted to see Loke squirm, and she figured the best way to do that would be to steal that stupid fur that he'd worn once upon a time. Her sister didn't seem so keen on tormenting their brother, though, and Jvala didn't want to push the issue.

"I guess," she grouched, narrowing her eyes at her sister. What a sourpuss.

"Why are you out here all by yourself, Angana?" Deciding to push the issue, Jvala continued, "Are you pouting?"

"No, sister dear, I am not." Angana responded primly, sitting up a bit to look down at her grooming sister calmly. "I am relaxing, resting, being grouchy or even possibly brooding, but I am not pouting. Pouting's boring and doesn't solve anything. At least brooding is somewhat more dignified and will eventually result in me thinking of something I'd rather do."

After a time, she moved to sit calmly upon her rock. "Well then, let's go. You came here for a fight, so let's have at it."

Jvala snort-laughed. "Sister dearest, I did not come here to start a fight," she said primly, knowing darn well it was a bold-faced lie. There was no WAY that Jvala would strike first. She wasn't going to be the one to get in trouble with her parents. That wasn't how Jvala worked.

But man, her sister was really annoying with that high and mighty attitude. Needed knocking down a few notches if you asked Jvala, which nobody had.

"But I do think that brooding is just a fancy way of saying that you're pouting."

Angana smiled, "Oh I think you did." she responded softly, "But if you're afraid of an honorable sparring match, sister, then you really must be worried about your own strength. Really, what would mother and father say?" Her words were cool and said in just such a way as to show she knew she was besting Jvala at this and just how much it annoyed her sister.

Jvala may like fighting more than Angana did, and Angana usually didn't bother picking on her siblings, but turning the button pushing around on the other juvenile was more than enough to interest her. After all, like she'd said, a nice little sparring match was perfectly honorable, and as an apprentice hunter - even one who was starting to regret even going along with such training - it was her place to practice and hone her skills against others her own age.

"Think what you like, Jvala. It's only you who suffers for not knowing the difference."

Jvala really didn't like it when things were presumed about her. She had gotten pretty good at schooling all outward signs of anything that might annoyed her. Jvala took great pride in being unreadable and when that facade slipped she tended to get furious.

The thing was, Jvala didn't think she'd let that facade slip.

"Oh, sister," Jvala said in the sweetest voice she could. "It's no wonder that you're sitting out here all alone. It must be so very hard to make friends when you've got the personality of a rock."

Angana smiled and looked at one of her claws idly. "No, dearest, rocks are much more friendly." she stated softly before stretching some. "I was lying alone because I had no interest in dealing with friends or play. You chose to socialize and really should not be surprised if it is not fulfilling for you."

"I'm sure if you wish to find something more interesting to do, you'll think of something. Don't let me hold you back." Angana stretched back to her comfortable position once more, still somewhat guarded for her sister. "But if you think I don't know what you really want with me, you're wrong."

Jvala snorted and rolled her eyes. Her sister was honestly utterly boring. Even Loke was more entertaining that Angana. Narrowing her eyes at her sister, Jvala grumbled softly under her breath before rising to her feet and shaking the sand out of her fur.

"Well, have fun with your brooding," Jvala said, lashing her tail about in annoyance. "I'm going to find something to do. I bet Loke will be much more fun to be around." No, he wouldn't. Loke was still sore at her from the last time they'd been alone together.

Honestly, her siblings were utterly boring to be around sometimes.

"Oh I shall." Angana replied almost cheerily before stretching out once more. Ah, that was better. Now her rest actually felt more earned and she could start thinking about other things that were more important to her.

Once Jvala was out of sight some, she stretched a bit and stood up. "I wonder if there are any other apprentices around I could meet. Maybe they have things more interesting." she commented idly before stalking off to see what there was going on.
