This contest is for an avian chick from the Shadows of Africa shop! If you don't know what SoA is (for some reason) click the banner above!
Start time: NOW~
End time: Tuesday April 12th, 12:00PM Pacific time
Rules
I - Thou shalt follow the rules laid out for the SoA shop. Period.
II - Thou shalt be polite to all in the thread. Begging/whining/othersuchthings will NOT get you chosen. It'll just annoy the frak outta us.
III - Thou shalt not make multiple entries using mules. It is grounds for disqualification.
IV - Thou shalt use the form provided to make thy entries.
V - Thou shalt leave thy drama at the door.

Family Info
Msingi (Mother) - Msingi is a cheerful and excitable bird living in the Ulili'mlindaji with two lions, Idothea, who she works as a guide with, and Carina (Shown here). She loves to sing and both tell and hear stories. She will be moving her nest and the remaining egg(s) onto the shrine dedicated to Love after Matata has gone. (Owned by Ecavi)
Matata (Father) - "Matata is a vicious demon-in-bird-skin birdie living in the Aikanaro'hini, who has no problems being a manipulative 'nice guy' if it gets him chicks. He's VERY much a magpie, obsessed with shinies, and has no issues clawing or pecking eyes out to get what he wants." (Owned by Das Tor)
Imbiana - Younger sister, staying in the Ulili. (Owned by Ecavi)
Nak - Youngest sibling, eggnapped into the Aikanaro by Matata. (Owned by Das Tor)

And here's the little bundle of joy you're going for! This little chick is a female, and you have the choice of her staying in the Ulili'mlindaji with her mother or having her eggnapped into the Aikanaro'hini by her father! (If eggnapped, she would be of the 'Na'artue' rank...a slave.)

Chick Name: Damisi (meaning happy, gregarious)
Plans: Damisi would grow up with her mother, learning to tell tales and always trying to sing the sun up. (She thinks of herself as its alarm clock.) Then once she got old enough she would set out on an EPIC journey to find happiness! I would love it if she went from one of my SoA to the next, spending time with each of them and learning interesting things before settling down with whichever one suits her best.
ATM I have no idea which it would be, it might even be Jabari! *grins at the idea of her big, bad Ashnai'le Ligi with a cheerful, overly talkative bird that follows him around.*

How much is that birdie, lady?
Chick Name: Mchumba (means "sweetheart" in Swahili)
Plans: Mchumba will grow up with her mother. Growing up on top of the shrine for love, she will develop a strong interest in finding true love - but not for herself, oh no! Instead she will be a matchmaker and suggest matches to anybody and everybody. She'll be humorously bad at it at first, but get better as she ages and gains some maturity. (She'll probably stay at the humorously bad stage for a while though because there's so much potential there.)
I imagine she'd spend so much time trying to match other people up that when her own true love showed up she would be too busy to pay him much mind - perhaps she'd even tell him to get lost and that she wasn't interested. (He'd have to be quite persistent!)

Chick Name: Azulilly - no meaning.
Plans: She would stay with her mother until she was either a chick, or an adult. To of which when a the lioness of the name Zarimunia comes to learn about the pride she lives in, she will then meet the lions her mother lives with, and Zari will meet the birds and become fascinated with them, but when she leaves to learn of others prides, Azulily will find that she too wants to learn of others prides that are scattered across the land, and find herself leaving her mother and the only home shes know, to go out on the quest of knowledge with Zari.

Plans: I've got a few of my SoA in the U'M pride, and I think that chick would make a perfect pair to my Naja. Naja is something of a 'push it to the limit' type of girl who wants to be the best shifter. Eye of the tiger, baby. She's been trying since she was a cub. I think it'd be awesome for her to have a familiar that kind of is always on Naja's shoulder either shaking her head in disapproval or egging Naja on because she thinks it's hilarious.

Chick Name:Ayomide (my joy has arrived)
Plans:
Ayomide or Ayo for short will stay with her mother. She will quickly want to take on the position of a keeper(rather she can really hold that position or not). Without being asked she would take pride in the Love shrine and wish to help keep it tidy and greet its guest with a lovely little ditty or so called love songs that she wrote. In the future she will look for another shrine and attach herself to the keeper of said shrine. ((Would be looking for a member owned by someone else(rather I have a member in the U'M or not), makes for better rp))

Chick Name: Hashiki (Swahili for Passion/Ardor/Enthusiasm)
Plans:
Hashiki will be living with her mother, and will stay in the pride for her entire life. She's going to be a happy chatterbox, very excited about the pride and has an almost constant running commentary of events. She has a passion for the truth, and would probably spend time around a shrine devoted to it.
Ex: "Oh, Imbiana, did you see that shrine? That lion just placed the prettiest flower on it. You don't think that flower will be squashed do you? What type of flower do you suppose that is? Look! The lion's leaving, let's investigate!" Shiki's observations may come off as a bit rude - but she only speaks the truth, and really respects others who do.
She'll be the familiar of a lioness I am going to have join the pride, who is rather quiet, and very polite. Avalon (the lioness) would be completely mortified by some of the things that Hashiki says.

Plans: She'll be eggnapped along with the other sibling by her father and spend her entire life within the A'H. Vapula is likely to be the sneaky sort of bird, eavesdropping on conversations that if caught, she would likely be killed but knowing the information could likely save her life or be traded for goods or services at a later time. Knowledge is power~
Eventually, likely through her capture or manipulation [or perhaps even a trade between Promi and her father for something rather shiny], she'll end up as a slave to my cub, Prometheus, while she is still young. From there she'll be that little devil who sits on his shoulder. ♥

How much is that birdie, lady? Chick Name: Ifunanya - charity/love
Plans: She'll remain in the Ulili-Mlindaji with her mother, spending the most of her childhood learning how to sing like mom and guarding and tidying up the shrine like if it was her precious treasure. She'd become rather obsessive with keeping everything clean and neat, which would be the focus of many of her days until she meets Esha in the pride, who she will bond to. Esha is rather quiet and seemingly unmoved by her surroundings, so at first, Ifunanya would make it a quest to pester Esha until she showed wonder for the Love shrine. Then, Ifunanya will eventually shift her obsession from the shrine to the leopard (along with the habit of keeping her fur clean and pretty)! 8D
