Ajani gracefully swayed his legs as he practiced his dance. He had been practicing for what seemed like forever. The sun was just peeking above the sky when he started and now it was in the middle of the sky. As he went to do a quick turn, he found himself loosing balance and falling on his face. He growled as he stood back up. The other entertainers were far better than he was and it was embarrassing for him when ever they saw him practice. He often wondered why he decided to become an entertainer in the first place. The moment he saw one of the pretty cheetahess he remembered. What easier way to get closer to them than having the same job. He hadn't realized how difficult it truly was.
He knew that, instead of dancing, he could always sing. He was good at singing, probably not the best in the pride, but he could sing better than he could dance. The only problem with his singing was that he was scared that the other cheetahs would make fun of his feminineness voice. At his old pride the other male cheetahs would tease him constantly about his voice, so he decided that he would never sing in front of others.
After letting out a large sigh he went back to practicing his dance. He had to get it right this time.

Vivuli was walking when she spotted someone below in the clearing. It was a male cheetah entertainer, she didn't know him but she recognized him. She had heard a lot from others about him, he was said to not be one of the best dancers. She couldn't help but feel pity as he made mistake after mistake. She wondered what made him decide to become a entertainer in the first place. He seemed like he had so much potential in other areas...
"You need to shift your weight from your back to your front legs if you wish to complete that twist" She said as she made her way down to him. She hoped he had not embarrassed him by watching or correcting him. She just wished to help him , that is if he allowed it. She got down and stood beside him and soon performed the spin he had tried to do and did it flawlessly. She ended it with a grin and flick of her tail. She herself remembered spending endless time mastering it. Even all the falls and dirt she ate while getting there.
"Try it!" She said keenly with a friendly smile. She hoped he would take kindly to her help and not get mad. As she sat she looked him over studying him more closely. He had a pure white pelt with many colors and a gold mane that glowed. His silver jewelry shining under the sun.
Vivuli herself has come so far and was almost expected to become a Geisha,a true promotion to say she has mastered the basics. She could not wait, she had a performance with Tabia to perform for the boss and excitement ticked her entire pelt.

Ajani, startled, jumped high in the air. He was so caught up in himself that he didn't notice the cheetahess watching him. He just hoped that she hadn't seen him fall. Lately he was having trouble around cheetahess. Every time he saw one he would end up doing something incredibly stupid or clumsy. He calmed himself down. He knew he would make a bigger fool of himself if he worried over the matter.
He listened carefully to her advice. There was a lot he could learn from the other entertainers and it would be foolish of him to ignore that face. He watched as she did the spin perfectly. For a moment he felt jealous of her spin, but realized she had been training longer than he had probably. "I will give it a try," he said before trying the spin.
'Shift your weight' he reminded himself as he did the twist. He did this and to his surprise he ended up doing the twirl, not perfectly, but at least he didn't fall on his face. He had a huge grin on his face. "I did it!" He was so excited that he could have started jumping for joy. He decided not to because he thought that would be rather childish of him.
"Thank you for helping me with the spin. I bet if you didn't help me out I would have been out here falling on my face until the sun went down." He said bowing his head to the cheetahess. "I don't think we have properly met. My name is Ajani, son of Damevan. We recently moved here."

Vivuli smiled as he took her advice and even studied her, she thought she caught a look in his eyes but she could have been mistaken. She studied him as she tried it, he did remarkably well compared to his first few attempts she had seen. It wasn't the best but with perfection comes practice.
"Well done, It's my pleasure to help you out Ajani" She as she smiled at him. He was polite but still a bit younger but age never mattered. As he mentioned his father Damevan she was not sure whom that was, but she too was knew to the Kuroi'Nera.
"I am Baridi Vivuli, call me Vivuli...I too recently joined this pride" She said as she turned her head to hide the pain in her eyes from memories that stirred from her past. She soon glanced back at him, she was glad to meet another fellow entertainer. She was more delighted to even help him master some moves for his dance.

Ajani grinned sheepishly at her. He wasn't expecting her to praise him, especially when he still had so much practice to do. It did make him feel good though and that maybe he could get better. It had been a long time since he was given a 'well done'.
He wondered why she turned her head when she started talking about her old pride. Did she, like him and his mother have a difficulty in a previous pride? He had just started to get over leaving his old pride. His curiosity was starting to get the best of him. "If you don't mind me asking what was your old pride like? I've only seen my old pride and this one. I have always been curious about other prides."
He hoped it wasn't too personal of a question to ask her, especially since they had just met. That and she was very kind to him.

She looked upon him as he seemed to get shy at her appraisal. She too knew how hard it is to be new, it wasn't long ago she was making falters in her own steps. Then again she wasn't much older then Ajani himself, she just acted much older then what she really is.
As he spoke again Vivuli's pelt prickled at his question, she had been awaiting someone to ask about her past. This would be the first person who know besides the bosses and a select few who were there. However she did not get upset he asked instead she felt sort of relieved.
"My pride was beautiful, a sort of graceful heirachy to it all. I was once a queen and had just given birth to my first litter, this meant new strength for the pride..." She said with a soft voice that tried hard not to falter as she hesitated to go on.
"We were celebrating their lives with joyous songs and many colors. However that celebration was short ended when night fell. We were attacked by a neighboring pride who had not agreed with my mates choice of choosing me as his queen. So they came swiftly and in many numbers and killed everyone I knew and loved except me. I ran, I ran from my mate and my cubs." She said as she finished her last few words with a glance away. She did not want to show that she was weak or express the true feelings from the memories of that night. She looked back at him hoping her tragic story had not shocked or scared him too much.

Ajani had always felt like his life before joining the Kuroi'Nera was horrible. Her story made him feel terrible about him pitting himself. He stepped closer to her and laid his tail over her, hoping to comfort her. It was what his mother always did when he was scared or sad. "I am so sorry. I can't even imagine what you must have felt." He could feel his eyes watering up. It was always hard for him to hold his feelings back.
"Your pride sounded amazing. I wish I could have visited it before it was attacked, especially during the celebrations." When he said this he hoped that it would maybe cheer her up. To make him feel better about leaving his pride he would always remember the best parts of it. He remembered how beautiful his old pride's celebrations were, especially mating ceremonies. He couldn't help but wonder what his would have been like. "At least you are safe and maybe someone survived the attack. They could have hid or runaway to safety."

Vivuli had never let her guard down so much, she felt a sort of vulnerability. She wasn't sure how she felt with these emotions since she was usually a strong female. She decided to start to embrace the feeling for once. She soon felt him get closer and feel his tail over her, it was in a way comforting. Usually she would not have appreciated this much comfort but at times it was necessary, even she could not deny that. She looked over to see his own eyes fill with water along the edges.
"Thank you Ajani, my pride was beautiful and it will forever be remembered as that and not a now fallen pride. I hope to one day have a celebration like it here in the kuroi'nera for the entertainers and fighters and perhaps a market of some type.." She said with a strong voice that hid the deep sorrow. She wanted to get into the council so she could bring up the idea, she knew the pride was serious but why not have a day to celebrate a little. This would include enjoying the vast variety of species and items the pride provided. Yet as Ajani spoke about being their she could see his bright pelt and joyful face amongst her pride, then she remembered he still was.
"I don't think anyone did...I saw everyone killed with my own eyes or their breathless bodies on the ground. But your right at least I am here and I have a new life now" She said thankful for his attempts to try and cheer her up. As much as she wanted to believe his words she couldn't, she didn't want to live hoping someone survived only to realize again they were all dead.

Ajani felt speechless. He wished he could give her some sort of hope, but he knew that it was useless. If he was in her situation he wasn't sure if he could handle the stress of watching an entire pride get destroyed. Leaving his pride had caused him to be depressed, he couldn't imagine watching it die.
Finally he found his voice to speak again. "My mother and I left our old pride to come here. I believe that she was in some sort of danger. Ever now and than I think about what it would be like to still be there. I do not know what it is like to lost your family and friends, but I do know what it is like to leave my home." He said carefully, he did not want to offend her in anyway. "I can't relate fully to your situation, but I can listen and try to help you out. I promise not to tell anyone about your pride. I figured you probably do not want the entire pride gossiping about your life before coming here."

Vivuli could tell that he could only imagine what she had gone through. However living it was a whole another story. She listened as Ajani told his own story, he could in some way relate to her. She appreciated the fact that he understood and choose his words so wisely. He was a very smart cheetah no matter what others thought, she liked him.
"Thank you Ajani, I greatly appreciate your word and I now consider you a good friend" She said with a soft kind voice she often did not use. She already had so much respect and trust for her new friend, and she was glad to have chosen to approach him. She was certain this would not be the end of their relationship.
"You are right about the differenc eof situations but yet leaving a pride can be just as hard a s losing why. I can only imagine your mother did it for your own safety...Either way I am glad you came here for I got the great opportunity to have met you" She said thankful for the fortune fate has brought to her. For once she was actually realizing how things were slowly turning for the better for her. It made her feel proud and happy she was starting her new second life.

Ajani aloud himself to grin at her. He hadn't made many friends at the pride yet and he was grateful to have made one with one of the top performers. It was rare for him to even make someone feel better. Normally he just annoyed others with his lack of dancing skills. "I am very honored to be called your friend. If you ever need someone to talk to I will listen. Normally I hang around the entertainers or off helping my mother." He hoped that she would take him up on his offer. It was relieving being able to talk about his old pride as well as listen to another whose tale was far more heart wrenching than his own.
"Perhaps we can work on a dance together? Preform a duet or something. I haven't had a chance to dance with another yet, probably because I'm too clumsy." He laughed at himself. That or no one wanted to get hurt dancing with him. "Of course I will have to practice a lot before I could ever dance with someone." He hoped his idea wasn't too outrageous.

Vivuli smiled and nodded her head at his offer, she would definitely not turn something that good down. She felt welcomed by his offer and she hoped to meet his mother one day. She felt happy to know she had someone else to trust besides Nyoka. In fact he may even know things that she wouldn't but nothing to concern her of course. She was made to understand Nyoka was not one to betray.
"Ajani I could never deny such a great opportunity, we will always remain friends and we will have frequent talks" She said with a soft smile as she nudged the males shoulder with her head. It wasn't often she showed such affection and it never lasted long, she soon took a step back as he spoke more. The idea of doing a duet was to great to pass by for her. the idea of turning this lesser experienced male into a great dancer would surely impress the pride and show her what they were capable of. It may be a challenge but she could see it now Her teaching one of the lesser entertainers into one of the best males entertainers the pride has ever seen.
"I would love a duet of some sort, may need a few lessons but I would be more then happy. You will become one of the best male entertainers the pride has ever seen " She said excitedly as she started to think of the kind of dance style they could do. She wanted to start right away, the idea pleased her mind to well.

Ajani couldn't hide his excitement. He couldn't wait to see what sort of dances they would be doing together. His cheeks started to warm up when Vivuli nudged him. "Thank you! I can't wait until we start working." He said quickly because of the excitement. His excitement rose when she said that he would become one of the best male entertainers in the pride. "I feel like you are doing so much for me. Should I do something in return for you?"
