was checking out some of the pawn shops and came across a pretty nice pistol an argentine ballester molina 1911 designed without a grip safety. sure it aint the greatest 1911 out there but the pistol is in excellent condition and I snagged it for only $300 plus tax so i'm happy. there was also an AMT hardballer for sale but they wanted like 590 for it

just did a little research. the serial number put's my particular pistol's date of manufacture between 1943 and 1944.
and it also turns out alot of them were used by the brits in WWII.

I like the slide serrations on that. They're pretty unique.

Fresnel I like the slide serrations on that. They're pretty unique. theres a few things unique about the gun. the only thing that I dont really like is that I cant switch out the grips for the ones I want. everything else is cool. I can swap out barrels all the same and it still takes standard mags. theres quite a few parts that remained interchangeable.

Either regular lines, or Kimber's scales or something. The off-beat serrations are neat. Also, I might be making an impulse buy of my own soon. I found a flintlock going for a song at a nearby gun store, and I've been looking to get into flintlock shooting for a long while now. I'll see where I stand next week.

upon further inspection and comparison to other ballester molinas I am happy to say that whoever previously owned this gun babied the hell out of it, this thing was a freaking safe queen. xD most others of this pistol i've seen so far have worn finishes, corrosion, worn grips and what not.
well, minus the little chipped back end part of the hammer and the honest barrel wear, this gun is in damned good condition.
I think it may have been refinished like maybe 10 years ago, not sure though

Recon_Ninja_985 both of them <******** akimbo (lol jk) Do it. Take video, post it. There's no point in owning two identical pistols if you don't dual-wield them at least once. Just because it's tactically retarded doesn't mean it's not fun as ********.

I think it's the imaging processor that's faulty. if I can get a hold of a good camera i'll do it, or even if it's standard definition i'd do it anyway, lol
