Some guy on youtube made a m700 take m14 mags now I'm waiting for someone to dot the with the mosin.

I posted a thread about this a few months back I think
mosin using PSL magazines.
at least we know that has actually been done.
not to mention PSL magazines are infinitely more common than SVT mags

Recon_Ninja_985 no no no. I posted a thread about this a few months back I think mosin using PSL magazines. at least we know that has actually been done. not to mention PSL magazines are infinitely more common than SVT mags My wish still stands because I could make a 20 rounder out of SVT mag better than I could with a PSL mag.

I dont really see how a 20 rounder would make much difference. it's a bolt action rifle...even 5 round detachable mags is a huge improvement. 10 rounds detachable is just pure awesome for the mosin. 20 rounders seem like they'd get in the way too much

SpeedmanRC stripper clips? why mag change? faster, easier. moar boo-lits. stripper clips can be a b***h to load sometimes and it takes too long. its a bit awkward to load. you can have a custom shop mill away a section of the receiver and add a mag catch for a PSL magazine or SVT magazine to fit. personally I recommend PSL mags simply because they are cheaper, more common, and probably more reliable.

If it uses x54r, build it around an SVD mag.; if it uses x39, build it around an AK mag, etc.
