For one, they had just the cutest expressions. heart

I didn't know where else to stick this and I just had to share it with others. Might as well make a new topic for it to bump up activity. Kinda spammy, but oh well!

BESM = Big Eyes, Small Mouth
It's the nerd term for anime (particularly the shojou style) ^^;

Sorry. There's a tabletop rpg that uses this term for it's name, and I sometimes forget it's not a generally common term. sweatdrop

It's okay! If it helps I only know a little bit of terminology from D&D, so I can understand a teensy bit of it! biggrin

Though anime terms I'm terrible with. I never got into it for some reason. Weird, since gaia is like totally anime. razz

Haha, a bit. It makes me feel like less of a hopeless nerd. XD
I play far too many tabletops for my own good though. When you use terms like "Wow, you really failed your INT check." for calling someone stupid you know you need a break. sweatdrop

I'm not sure if BESM is an anime term or not. I've not seen it in the community before. I think they use more of the Japanese terms like Shojo/Shonen and the like.

Looks like someone has a low will save~! xp
I have to admit, I never played more than a few games of Warhammer with my brother. The bulk of my table top RPG knowledge comes from watching/listening to other people playing D&D. xd
I'm entertained, so I'm just as much a geek.

But yeah, I don't recall BESM mentioned before. I can definitely get it though. 3nodding

...toooo many smilies. I don't care, I'm tired. razz

Lol, that just made my night. XDD
D&D is one of the few games I've not actually played, though I'm in the process of planning a campaign with my husband's co-worker. I've mostly played home-made games (and happen to be co-producing one myself), and many many White Wolf games. Exalted and Werewolves mostly. razz

I think BESM was initially a set of generic d20 rules that revolved around an anime-esque system and setting. Sort of like how people often use GURPS (Generic Universal RolePlaying System) to run furry tabletops games.

And yay for smilies. mrgreen

yeah. GURPS is ridiculously flexible. DnD is better, but its more rigid, and dosent mesh well with anthro characters.

Can't you play as a Gnoll or a lycanthrope druid? The second may be 3rd edition though. I don't know much about the editions really. I just know I've been listening to podcasts of a group playing and they have gone as crazy as having a pizza oven construct. Yes, that happened.

Though if your DM allows it, you can pretty much just reskin a human or elf or what not as something else. It'd probably be more okay if it had a well thought out back story...

Though if you have a really fun loving DM, she/he won't care so long as it's not completely ridiculous or broken.

Also, if anyone's interested in a funny D&D game podcast/video recording, then here you go:

So that is weird but i doubt that print is from ancient babalon. Maybe later or around the time of the neo babalonians. I dont think 1500 bce babalon had that sophisticated an printing art. But 400 bce babylon could. Reguardless it is adorable

But you know whats really weird. I was messing around on e621.net looking at flash games and came upon two works by garek here that i shant dare link in this guild. @.@

It looks a bit german to me, but I could be wrong. If I had to guess, it was done in the 1700s or 1800s. razz

...*Searches*
Oh, -those-. Yeah, they're kinda old...like, years old. I've gotten a lot better now. My latest is better than those two for sure. I've done like...4-5 total? I need to get around to working on the next update in a series but I never really had the time before.

...And I kinda agree with those comments. My ...understanding of canine *ahem* anatomy was pretty lacking since I didn't know how it works... So I gave it up eventually in favor of a more human anatomy approach. *coughs* ...Yeah. Hard to talk about my work like that. x3

My FA has more though. Just my name with no spaces. razz
