Kakek was spending a good amount of his time doing what he could to help around during the drought. Everything seemed so bad, he didn't like the tension and he didn't like everyone seemily turned against each other. He didn't like it one bit but at the same time he knew that he had to deal with it for now, until everything passed. Not only that but he knew he had to help in everyway that he possibly could. He didn't like feeling helpless and he was doing what he could when he could. However at the second he really just wanted a second to sit back and take some time relaxing he loved spending time relaxing that was for sure and today sitting around was something that was a wonderful idea. He was sitting in front of his den laying his head on his paws taking some time his eyes closing and opening. He was an adult now, his mane had grown in all the way and he was enjoying his time on his own for a little. He was independent and alone and he enjoyed it a lot. He was happy and even with everything going on he thought it was nice to be on his own. And today he was happy to be able to lay around and possibly take a nap
Kasi was tired. The heat was getting to her and the lack of water - which while they were all getting some, it was still not much - was starting to drain her physically. This was bad. Really bad. She was a soldier, she was supposed to be strong in case there was an attack! She huffed a little as she walked, heading back to her own den. She had moved out of her parents den, taking one of her own now that she was an adult. She had no desire to be that girl that stayed too long with her family. She would have moved out at adolescence, but that would have been odd. Passing other dens, she was somehow unsurprised to see Kakek out front of his. Their dens weren't actually that far apart, to Kasi's horrorfied amusement. Even as an adult, she couldn't get away from him. She peered at him as she drew closer, surprised to see that...he was napping? She grinned. Tired or not, this could not go unexploited. She crept closer to him quietly, and launched herself at him, prepared to tackle him awake.
Kakek was cloes to getting into dream land. It was almost passed out completely, his mind was slowly starting to slow down and slowly started to fall asleep. His tail twitched a little and he was happy in his half asleep state he wasn't paying attention to anything not even the other firekin heading in his direction to pounce on him. He was so close to sleep he dind't even smell her in the air. However he did feel her jump on top of him and he was very surprised. However he wasn't much of acting like it. While the lioness was balanced on him he slowly woke up, stretching out his legs and grumbling slightly as he did however he opened a eye and looked at her curiously, it was Kasi and this was a bit of a surprise, this really was a big surprise it wasn't that often that things like this happened. She normally wanted nothing to do with him. He rolled over and looked at her with a curious face before smirking. "Well hello good looking." he started as he made himself comfortable even with her squishing him he was looking up at her and then adding more to what he was saying before. "come here often?" He asked curiously.
Kasi was surprised when he didn't even move. Wow, he really must have been asleep, she mused as she landed on top of him heavily. Most would have controlled their weight and landed on their paws to protect whoever they were tackling, but Kasi didn't bother. Kakek could handle it. When he seemed to lazily roll over and make himself comfortable beneath her weight, she scowled. Oh, EW, she thought, as he called her good looking and tried that lame line on her. She pushed herself up to her feet and stared down at him, looking unamused. No one could deny that Kakek was an attractive male though. He was large, and nicely coloured, and his mane had grown in full. If it wasn't for his stupid jerk attitude, then Kasi might have called him handsome. He wasn't though, she thought stubornly, he was a jerk. "Like anyone would come see YOU often."

Kakek took in almost a inhale of relief, when the lioness got off of him. She wasn't exactly really heavy to him, he had put up with worse, however it was nice not to have the pressure on him now. He was still moving slow on the other hand, just woken up. He was a lot more carefree now that he was older and if the lioness walked away that would be okay to him, but at the same time he had a good feeling that she wouldn't. He reached his large paws up and rubbed his face, followed by a large and loud yawn before finally flipping himself and turning to that he could see her again and letting out a chuckle, pushing himself on to his paws so he was sitting, a smirk was plastered across his face. This was going to be a fun time that was for sure.
"You know, if no one would come to see me, then why are you here?" He asked curiously the smirk was still on his face after he spoke. He shook his mane before looking at her again. "Hm?" He questioned her before moving a little closer. "You know, you seem to not be able to leave me alone." He started before leaning a little closer to her, leaning toward her ear before whispering. "I think you might like me." He teased before moving away from her quickly as if he was avoiding a slap to the face. He stood with a chuckle and moved a little away from her before looking back at her. "You know, I WAS sleeping, you could have easily walked around and went the other way." He looked at her with a laugh once again. He was going to have fun today even if he just pushed her buttons as long as he possibly could.

She backed up a step once she got off him, as he began to wake up, flipping himself and then finally rising to a sit at least. She scowled at him as he began to speak – that annoying smirk still on his face. Damn. The jerk had a point. Why was she there? It certainly wasn't because she couldn't leave him alone though, she scowled furiously at him, longing to hit him. Her eyes went wide as he lent in close, and she unconsciously leaned back. “What? That's stupid!” She protested. “I do NOT like you.” Ffft, that was just...impossible. No. She hated - ...well, not hated, she didn't really hate him but she did dislike him...a lot!
“But then I wouldn't have gotten the chance to squish you,” she explained, as to why she had tackled him awake instead of just ignoring him. She really should have just walked around him, she mused as he began to laugh. Ugh. He was such a jerk. She felt her cheeks heat beneath her fur and she stubbornly looked away from him. Why didn't she just leave?

Kakek looked at her with the grin still on his face. he thought she was kind of funny in a cute way. He thought she was just generally funny. It was odd, she wasn't his favorite person in the world but he really liked picking on her and pushing her buttons, but not only that he thought that she had grown into a really pretty lioness. Which to Kakek, it just messed up everything. It was like she was a jerk for going and getting cute. That was frustrating to him. But he was going to do what he could to annoy her for now. "If you say so." He said simply to her protesting, the look of amusement was still on his face.
He stretched himself out again and then shrugged. "You complain about me so much I don't even see the point of you coming over to squish me. I don't think it would be worth it." He shrugged at the idea, and then smiled at her. "I don't know it's kind of strange that you would still be hanging around if you don't like me. I feel like you say all of these things and then just stick around forever." He dramaticly sighed before looking at her with a smirk once again. "I really don't understand."

Kasi was suspicious as he let it drop for a moment, knowing that he wouldn't stop teasing her. Sure enough, he stretched and then kept talking. Ugh. He'd be so much cuter if he just shut up. Wait, what, no. Not cute. Not at all. Not silent or talking. The sun was beginning to hit her where she sat, the heat starting to build along her fur.
"Like you've never tackled me before?" She scoffed, remembering times that he had done exactly as she'd done, though she was usually awake and just trying to ignore him when he tackled her. She cursed as he picked up on what she was wondering herself. Why was she still there? "Well, I was being social but considering your still as much of a jerk as you were as a cub, I'll just leave." She shot him a disgruntled look and turned her back to him, preparing to stalk off in a huff. Why did she even bother to be social with him? The sun and her own annoyance made her feel flushed.

At the lioness's words Kakek broke into laughter. Loud laughter, he found it very amusing. He couldn't help it, he thought it was pretty funny yes there were many times that he pounced on her but after a while when he pounced on her he stopped complaining about her right away. He stopped and shook his head at her with a smile still on his face. "Come on, are we STILL cubs though?" He laughed again shaking his head. "I'm just picking on you." He commented shaking his head at her and then smiled at him. "Come on, just go with it, lighten up." Kakek had been trying to be as friendly as possible because he wanted to, he didn't see the point of not being friendly. Not only that however on the other hand with the drought he was trying to stay in a good mood.
Kakek looked at the female and then smiled this time it was a more sincere smile. He wanted to have a good day, today, maybe tomorrow he would give her a little more of a hard time however today he didn't really want to he stood up on his paws and looked back at her and nodded before flicking his tail around. "Do me a favor." He said simply with a chuckle, nudging him and then he started to trot, a little slowly but he was still trotting. "Come on an adventure with me."

Kasi eyed him. No, they weren't cubs. He clearly wasn't, she mused, looking briefly at the full mane he had developed. "Not physically," she pointed out, "but picking on me could be proving how cub-like mentally you are!" She was fighting a losing battle though. As quickly as Kasi's temper fired, it also died down just as quickly, often leaving her tired but this time it just left her mildly irritated. Not angry. Just...annoyed. Which seemed to be her default emotion around Kakek anyway, so it was nothing new. She shot him a disgruntled look, but it wasn't a glare anymore.
She was surprised when he smiled at her. Actually smiled. Not a joking grin, or anything. Just...smiled. That threw her off balance and she blinked at him as he asked her for a favour. An adventure? She looked slightly incredilous. "How is going on an adventure not just proving how young your brain still is?" She asked, giving a small, short laugh - but one of the few she gave around Kakek.
Despite her complaints, she cast a glance back at her den. There was nothing to do, not while the sun was hot, she couldn't train but an adventure? Well, it'd just be walking at least...She sighed heavily and turned back towards him, moving to follow him.
Well...Azar would be upset if she let Kakek go off on an adventure alone and he ended up dead from his stupidity. She'd go along to make sure he didn't do soemthing stupid. It had nothing to do with the smile he gave her. At all.
