 [Zara does have her winning duel and is posted for recerting. She just hasn't been changed yet. P:]
She was learning just how tough these lions were though. It was a harsh reality. The scorching dun and the lack of drinkable liquids, day to day life seemed to be hard and only getting harder. They appeared as though to be trekking along though and that was what the lioness seemed to admire about them the most. Even though any water was scarce and while only having enough in one muddy hole to drink from once a day from was far from enough to support a pride. It was downright amazing to the young lioness.
Zara shifted slightly in her pace, not sure exactly sure where she should be helping though she did wish to make herself useful, to prove herself to her new home that she wasn't just some weak cub. Though in her gut, she was beginning to feel useless.

Things in the pride had been getting rough lately. No one would dare try and deny that. Even the strongest of them were feeling the effects of the drought as the thirst came crushing down on them. And, frankly it was doing absolutely nothing for Chaka'nondo's mood. On the best of days, he could be a jerk, according to his dear sisters. In this situation? He could be downright unbearable. Which certainly explained by many other lions were taking care to avoid him.
And he was more than happy to avoid them in turn. Until his gold eyes settled on a new face...
He could hardly claim to know every face in the pride. But he knew the old blood. He even knew most of the partial-blood. And that lioness ahead of him was neither. Yet another 'welcome' addition to the pride. A rogue. A scowl set across his maw as he glared at the lioness, his step not faltering in the least as he turned to stalk toward her. Still they permitted these new bloods into the pride, even in this situation!? They hardly had water to go around to the current members!
He all but snarled at the female as he stepped up to her side. " You girl.. What's your name? " He snapped out in an authoritative tone. Even worse that she was female... Yet another viper just waiting to strike.

The unsteady pace continued for a little while longer before it soon came to a complete stop as a body moved closer to hers. Zara had not even seemed to noticed the male even approach her which seemed to cause her a bit of a surprise by nothing shown on her face. Originally she wore a sort of smile out of pride for her accomplishments but the aura that the male gave off turned it to a neutral expression, even close to a frown, almost a scowl.
“Zara.” Came as a simple answer to his demand. The ‘r’ in her name was said with almost a growl as Zara looked back at him. Silver eyes narrowed up at him. Despite him being larger than her, she gave him no ground, though she did shift her weight slightly.
“And you are?” Zara returned in question quickly with the addition of a grey brow raised. Her gaze looked the bright red body over once. He was not a lion she had seen before though that was not too surprising because of her being a new arrival.
