The laboratory is a large concrete room deep underground. There are large tubes along the back wall for large specimen research. There are three computers along one wall that store all of the data. Examination tables are along the opposite wall from the computers as to keep them safe. There is a rack of lab coats near the door. On this front section of the room are two sinks and emergency showers and everything needed for accidents. There is also a closet door in the corner. In the closet are all things required for experimenting. There is a large sign on every wall that read "Keep the Laboratory Clean or Face Certain Untimely, Painful Demise." Two abnormally large wolves stand guard inside the lab's door to keep out intruders. They have, of course, been experimented on and have abnormal strength and agility.

Myuki entered her favorite room and walked straight to the computers. She placed her palm on the screen to unlock it and began to pull up information for an experiment. her stubby fingers flew over the keys entering titles of files. As the information began to pop up she began to hum in excitement, she had been up all night planning this experiment. After all of what she needed was on the screen she nearly ran to the supply closet to grab her tools. Arms full of supplies she turned to one of the large experiment tables and started sorting them out and lining things up so that she could be precise. She hummed even louder as she worked moving at high speeds along the table as she put this and that together in a large metal tube. She tightened bolts and kept a flame going underneath. She was happy as she experimented and would hate to be disrupted now.

Myuki leaped back from a small explosion as two chemicals combined inside the metal tube. "Ah-ha!" she squealed with delight knowing that her work had be fruitful and she had succeeded. She whirled around to announce her projects success but found no one but the two guard wolves to be there. She grunted and her face turned sour. Where was her lieutenant, he should be here experimenting instead of off lallygagging about the seireitei. She would make sure to scold him when he returned form whatever it was he was doing. If he didn't have a good excuse for being gone, she decided, he would have to be punished. "Pesky humans. They never do what they are supposed to, huh boys?" she said looking fondly at her two guards and patting their heads softly. "You guys always do what you're supposed to, that's why I wouldn't have anyone else protecting my projects." Her voice was kind as she continued to pet her favored specie. The wolf-like woman then went to work cleaning her station so that she could start on her next project. She had received a request the day before from the head captain's lieutenant wanting something made for his cat. She might have hated cats but she respected his request as he was married to the head captain.

Myuki brushed some of stray fur back into place before she began this new project. It was going to be a very sensitive one, more mechanical than chemical. A smile crossed her face as she thought of the challenge ahead. "Let us begin. You two will be very important on this one my babies," she said kindly to the wolves in the lab. She ran to her closet and pulled out many tools and pieces of metal that would be very important. She quickly began to work on the very delicate pieces of metal and wiring. A smile stayed on her face the whole time, she loved how hard this project was.

Ginkou walked into the lab and past his captain and her wolves listening to his music headbanging "........" He sat himself at a computer and quickly typed out a bunch of text and got up again to another computer even still he was listening to his music

One of the wolves grunted as the lieutenant entered the laboratory. Myuki stopped in the middle of her work and turned to Ginkou. She frowned at the male human. He never showed her any respect, always listening to his loud music and ignoring her. She then walked over the head banging man and tapped him on the shoulder. She wasn't mad at him yet, but if he had a bad excuse or was rude she would easily become vicious with him. "I need to speak with you, now." she said simply, knowing he would know what she said whether or not he could hear her voice.

Ginkou stopped what he was doing and turned to his captain " Yes? " He pulled his down his headphones and the music seemed to get quieter. " I was only testing and training the head captain " As he said it on the screen of the opened up a file saying 'hollow absorption'.

Myuki gave him a dim smile. She didn't believe he could ever 'train' the head captain but at least he was doing something worth while. She glanced at the screen momentarily then back at the man in front of her. "Did you learn anything while you were out?" she began with an edge of annoyance just to keep him in line. "Does it have anything to do with your current research about hollow absorption? We know that hollows absorb one another to gain power but what use would you have with them. With your current ability to absorb reishi, you shouldn't need to absorb hollows. That would only injure you would it not?" her curiosity was harsh but with reason. There were things that needed to be done and she didn't want him wasting lab time after he went on his escapade. a

" You see as I was training with her , I noticed something off...." He stopped mid-sentence and turned back to the computer. " We are no different form hollows, they are our mirror image, a thin line separates us. " Ginkou peered into his hand. " My ability is no different from theirs. Do you remember when you first met me? And why I was put here." Ginkou said as he searched through folders and folders of many hollows.

Myuki glowered down at him, "How do you expect me to remember every time I first meet someone. There are more important things for me to remember." Her rough voice was almost angry. His words were beginning to worry her, was his sanity fading? There was a bit more than a thin line between shinigami and hollow, much more than any physical difference. Even their origins were very different.

" you then don't remember person that went by name of ' Hollow Child' in the seireitei, I was that person my body was devouring whatever it touched, not much different from a hollow and with your help we sealed it, but now the seal is wearing thin" Ginkou's eyes phased across the screen " What if I were to become a hollow " He silently said.

Myuki's eyes flashed violently. A sharp smile spread on her lips and she drew her face closer to his, "Then I'll kill you," her voice was full of malice and hatred, not for him but for hollows. So many times had they attempted to make her one of them because of her differences. She knew she was nothing like a normal shinigami but that didn't mean she had to be an evil soul absorbing monster, she controlled her fate not the other way around. After a second she stood up and stared at the screen with a blank expression. Her arms crossed over her chest and she spoke again, her voice mimicking her emotionless features, "But, of course, as your captain and a protector of Soul Society and the Seireitei: I won't let such a thing happen. We still have need of you here, thus, we can't exactly sit around and wait for you to be our next dummy to destroy." The wolf-like woman then turned away from her lieutenant and walked back to her work bench. "I will only do this because you are part of my squad, and a shinigami you. There is no other reason." She then reached down and began working on the small metal box in front of her.

Ginkou rose from the computer, his eyes were as dark as the emotions in the room itself. " I guess we'll have to see if your words and the head captain's words will stick true" Ginkou walked off to the door to head to his private lab, just before he left he turned and said " Pity that everyone here even myself thinks we are omnipotent beings" A few strands of his hair turned white as he left Myuki and her wolves

As she finished the wiring inside the small metal compartment she smiled. "Now to see if this woks, come here Kuki," she said to one of the guard wolves in the room. She reached down and tied the small box to the wolf's neck. "Yes, master," came a deep growling voice from the mouth of the wolf. His face curled with confusion and worry, "YES! IT WORKS IT WORKS!!" she shouted, seeing as her experiment worked. She then stood up and walked out of the room, headed for the Head Captain's office to deliver her finished project.
