(open for all cubs and any extended family who might want to join in) Maua was delighted - absolutely delighted with her son's cubs - oh sure some of them hadn't had quite as much purple on them as she had hoped they would, but several were almost completely purple and most importantly of all all of them had at least some - there would be no repeat of her own failure from her last litter. No Damisi to ruin the joy - not that she'd say so to her little failures face of course, and she did love the little non-purple cub in her own way...it was just hard to come to terms with.
But Zamba's brood was perfect and she'd even been allowed to name a couple of them herself when Phy and Zamba couldn't come up with suitable names. Today she had offered to watch them all while Phy took a break and Zamba was off doing - whatever duties he had to do in his quest to gain ranks in the Pride. For help she had brought along one of her younger daughters and the cubs aunt. "Now..we can all go for a walk to the watering hole..but I expect good behavior from everyone, and no wandering into the mud..we wouldn't want you to dirty your pretty coats now would we?" She crooned at the little cubs. Certainly they were old enough to take a little trip and she couldn't help but show off the pretty beasts whenever she got the chance.Zuri wasn't entirely sure what she thought of her mothers affection for these cubs, sure they were cute enough and family - Zuri got that, but she was still young enough to desire her mothers attention herself and so she was a bit more aloof then perhaps she should have been with them. Not that she would ever actually say that of course..jealousy was not at all an admirable trait. "Yes as mother says, getting dirty is not fun nor a good thing to do" She stated, eyeing the cubs with an air of superiority because she was older..an elder even in regards to these cubs and so to her own Adolescent mind she had the right to do so.
"I'll keep an eye on them all from behind" Zuri told her mother with a slight nod and a responsible sounding tone, she would brook no craziness either! she wouldn't! they'd all get to the watering hole safetly and quietly as Nobles ought to.Mili was excited! She loved it when they were allowed to go out of the den, the cubs still being young enough that such trips were considered a special treat. bouncing about in an excited circle - despite the raised eyebrows of their far to stick in the mud Aunt Zuri, Mili reached out a paw and batted at the ear of her closest sibling. "This is going to be so much fun!" She said to no one in particular. "Do you think they'll let us try to swim? I bet I can swim better then you" She stated to another random sibling.

Juitris smiled up at her grandma. In her mind, Maua was the epitome of Noble. She loved Maua and tried to spend as much time as she possibly could with her. Juitris had been practicing her dainty walk. Sure it looked kinda silly now, but when she grew up she'd be pretty. And just maybe as Noble as Maua.
"The mud is icky grandma. It sticks between my toes. I'd like to find a nice grassy spot to sit." Why her cousin thought she needed to be watched, Juitris didn't know. Her siblings? Well that was obvious. They'd disgrace the family. She smiled up at Maua, right up until her all-purple sister aiming for her ear, swatted her rump. The young cub jumped in surprise and glared over her shoulder at Mili.
"I certainly hope they don't! Really, you have no idea what's been in that water. Think of your pretty coat, and the time it'll take grandma Maua to clean it. How inconsiderate of you Mili!" Juitris throttled her jealousy of her sibling. How could that one have gotten more purple than she? It wasn't fair!

It was a beautiful time for a walk. Happy to be outside of the den the cub beamed at everything that went past. Even insects received the cub's happy smile. Still while listening to Maua Amira giggled softly under her breath as she walked along with her siblings. Would they float over the mud in some places then? In her mind she tried imagining how to perfectly avoid any mud. Could she? Still the cub nodded towards her grandmother. She would at least try to keep clean since it was what Maua wanted.
Looking back at Zuri the cub frowned. Was it that bad then? Curiously her gaze went towards a mud puddle and her paws itched to just touch the ground there.
Her thoughts were interupted by Mili. "Swimming sounds fun." She commented softly smiling towards her sibling before Juitris spoke up. "Isn't the water suppose to be clean though?" She tilted her head before walking closer to Mili. If Mili went into the water then she would go with her...maybe. She did like the thought of swimming. It was better than just sitting around doing nothing, right?

Joini had followed along behind her mother and sister when they had made their way to the den to watch the new cubs. It was exciting times for all. However, there were some bad things about it too. Some of those new cubs, who happened to be her nieces and nephew, had a lot more purple on them than she did, in fact one of them was completely purple. She knew her mothers attention and likely her love as well, would be directed to this cub more than the others. Having only a minimal amount of purple meant Joini had to work extra hard to prove herself not only to her mother, but the pride as well. But for this moment, she pushed those thoughts tot he back of her mind and concentrated on having fun and making sure to act properly as a good noble should.Nyeusi felt like the odd man out. And really he was, he was the only male of the litter and often felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of females in his family. Even his grandmothers litter, who was a bit older than him and his siblings, was mostly girls, but at least there were three boys in that litter, unlike him. As such he often kept his distance from the others, a boy could only take so much girl talk after all. This was why he tended to stick close to his father, but father wasn't here today and at the moment neither was his grandfather. He would have loved to go for a swim, the mud didn't bother him too much, all boys loved the mud even if they were of noble breeding. For now he just hung back and waited and hoped that grandfather would show up soon.Kivuli had set out with Maua, however, along the way was pulled aside to attend to some quick business. Now that he was done with that he continued on, hurrying to catch up to his mate and a few of their own cubs. Today they would be watching their grandchildren and Kivuli was very much looking forward to it. He loved cubs, and having not only some of his own around but now a new set of grandchildren made the large lion extremely happy. Spotting the group up ahead Kivuli slowed down his paws. Coming to a stop he cast his eyes over the gathered group of young and then to his mate. "All taken care of." He told her in reference to the earlier matter and then beamed a large smile at the cubs. He turned his attention to Nye, the only male in the litter, he remembered how Zamba sometimes had a tough time dealing with all his sisters so he would try to keep the boy happy. "I hope you are behaving yourself young man." He beamed with a smile and gave the cub a wink.

Having heard about the delightful family gathering, Raziela hastened to seek them out. She had been rather... preoccupied of late. Her blossoming romance with Derasan had sent her to spend more and more of her time at the theater, such that it had been a little while since she had last spent any quality time with her family.
No doubt, they wondered what had kept her for so long, and she hoped they would understand that she had other things to occupy her time. But her affair with a common Player was one that she could not allow them to discover. "Them," being her mother, really, but she was under no illusions that Maua wouldn't eventually find out if but one of their sizable family knew the circumstances of her relationship with Derasan.
Her eyes caught sight of the hoard of purple cubs, and a smile stretched across her face as she hurried to catch up. "Father, mother," she said, greeting them both with a dainty dip of her head. "And cubs, of course," the lioness added smiling down at all of the youngsters milling about underfoot. There were now so many of them that she was having some trouble matching faces to the names that she knew. Most likely another sign that she needed to spend more time with the family.
No doubt, now that Zamba had procured these beautifully purple offspring, it would soon be Raziela's turn to find herself a proper noble, settle down, and have proper noble children. But as long as Derasan was in the picture (and she expected that he would be in it for a while), she couldn't quite see that happening.
