25th September: It Begins
Nanashi stood before the growing crowd, his mate Janja'nyoka at his side, and his children nearby waiting, though both Emi and Shinobu were absent.
"We have summoned you all here for an important reason," Nanashi spoke coolly, a look of pride lurking behind his eyes as he addressed the entire pride. "Lady Nyoka's and my litter has reached their adulthood - each one in fine health and reflecting strongly the ways of our pride, but this is not the reason we have called you here. Seiji, join me," he encouraged his first born.
Seiji took a steadying breath, careful to keep the nervous gesture from the prying eyes of the people. He stepped up, standing between his parents in front of the pride, jaw tilted and eyes reserved - the picture of the heir he was raised to be.
"Seiji, it is time," Nanashi said, his voice strong but he was hit with a wave of nostalgia, memories of when Seiji was a cub surfacing but he pushed them away.
"It is time to give rise to a new generation of leader," Nanashi continued, stepping back and discretely nudging Seiji forward. "It is with great confidence that I introduce the new Boss of the Kuroi'Nera, our eldest son, Seiji."
Seiji kept his stance firm, remembering to breathe as he nodding his head.
"It is a great honour to lead us into the future," he said simply.
His parents stood behind him slightly, but it was Nanashi who spoke next.
"A smaller announcement now, now that Lady Nyoka and I have stepped down from Boss and Boss Lady, we will be travelling from the pride in order to forge stronger ties with our allies, and as such, we will be absent from the pride until further notice. We have already forged an alliance with the Makini'adhima through the arranged marriage of our son, Shinobu, however it is time to expand our alliances further. We have great faith that our son Seiji will lead you well in this time."

This is the beginning of the pride-wide metaplot
+ Effective immediately, Janja'Nyoka (Chi Sohma) and Nanashi (Velveteen Angel) have 'retired' from the positions of Boss and Boss Lady - naming Seiji (Velveteen Angel) the next Boss. He will be ruling without a Boss Lady at his side.
+ Also effective immediately, both Nyoka and Nanashi have left the pride to travel to allied prides - they will not be returning until the end of the metaplot.
+ Emi (Chi Sohma), Nanashi and Nyoka's daughter, has left the pride as an ambassador when she was an adolescent and is no longer present in the pride.
+ Shinobu (Zephira73 cool , Nanashi and Nyoka's son, has left the pride to meet his arranged mate within the Makini'adhima colony and will not be returning.
What This Means For You:
Seiji is now ruling the pride on his own. He is a known hybrid sympathiser, which means that the rules regarding the positions of the hybrids in the pride will be less strictly maintained during his rule.
This will cause some bad feelings towards the young Boss from some of the pride (especially those who dislike hybrids).
Hosoku (Daydreamer), Seiji's brother, is against the decision his parents have made with naming Seiji the Boss. He is against hybrids, and dislikes his brother's sympathising ways when it comes to them.
Feel free to roleplay out reactions of Seiji's promotion, or the former Boss/Boss Lady's leaving the pride, or reaction to the idea of a hybrid sympathiser on the throne.
