Ajani looked at the new cubs that joined the pride. There were six of them! He was recruited by his mother to help watch them for a little bit. She knew he was always found of cubs and so she gave him this chance to be with them. "Good morning all of you! It's so nice to see some new blood in the pride," he spoke with his usually perkiness. "Now it is important for you to know that you shouldn't wander off by yourselves until you have been here for some time."
"There are a lot of different ranks you can be when you grow up. I am an entertainer currency," he explained proudly. "You don't have to worry about ranks right now though. It will be some time before you will be helping the pride like that. Feel free to ask members of the pride questions if you have any questions alright? That includes me. If you have any problems come to me and I'll help you out."
"Before we get too far is there any place you would like to go? I have all day to show you around." He glanced from one cub to another. He wasn't sure what happened to their parents. All he knew was one night Bugie came in with all six of them. Hopefully the cubs would adapt to their new life here in Kuroi'Nera.

Nolan eyed the brightly colored male, unsure of his new surroundings. Ajani seemed nice enough, and the cub relaxed a small bit. "I have a question..." he paused to glance around hoping to spot what he had in mind. "Umm...what rank is it when someone gives things to another and gets something in return..."
Earlier, he had seen a well-dressed cheetah exchanging items with another. The male had been highly respected, something that even as a cub Nolan aspired to.

Obayana simply stared as the strange new adult before him as he spoke. He said things that the small cub didn't entirely understand, but had started to make sense of, and he was....wearing strange things like he had never seen before.
Looking to his siblings, he tried to gauge their reactions to all of this. Ever since that leopard had taken them away, he had tried his hardest to stay close to his siblings, now his only source of familiarity and comfort.
Having been caught too many times during the short period that they had been here, he had stopped trying to find a way to get back home. While he could hardly say that he missed their father, his heart still ached for his mother.
Obayana didn't mind dealing with his father's prescence, so long as he could still be near her. As his gaze left the Entrtainer, it drifted into the expanse of the pride's lands and he couldn't stop wondering what their life would be like now.

Sol did his best to behave. He wasn't one to do what he was told. When he was living with his parents he would always find a way to sneak away from them, usually bringing along a sibling. Here is was harder to go off on your own, especially with so many cheetahs watching the cubs. There was one major upside to being here. So much treasure. He saw many of the members of the pride richly dressed in treasure. Sol had to stop himself from touching it. Even Mister Ajani had some beautiful trinkets on him. Sol wanted them, but knew he probably couldn't get away with taking any of the treasure from Ajani.
When Nolan asked this question, Sol listened carefully. He was interested in the answer. "I was wondering how do you get treasure to wear? I would like some please Mister Ajani."

She wasn't entirely sure what was going on. Rada found it hard to believe that Bugie could do something wrong to them. The leopard certainly helped mother with them before.
So why question his kindness now. Like he explained to them while the were traveling. 'This place will keep you safe.. this place will keep you safe.. '
That was the only thing keeping her from freaking out entirely. Although one of the most youthful. She wasn't the slightest bit ready to let anyone near this family. Not til she knew them. Lifting herself up and quickly circling her siblings then headed in front of them with an easily puffed up angry- trying to be stronger- than- she- was sorta face. "Wheres mister Bug-ne. Or Merus Passie." ( Ajani's Mother whom was left in charge of them? ) She grumbled and stared the cheetah down. Assuming the fact that Bugie said not to leave Damevan'Passie's side..
Her ears went down then she looked at her siblings with a very harsh look. Huffing. She really almost had no care what the male was saying before she interrupted though. The surreal feeling of being so far from mother was getting to her. Even Bugie wasn't around!? "Is dat all cha think 'bout Sol!" A soft growl as she shook her head. Then eyed her other brother.. How could they not be thinking about their current situation.. being left with another stranger. At LEAST they were with Passie.. now a new cheetah? Then looked at Ajani quite protectively of her siblings as if she were the first born but correctly she was far from that.

Qayyima sat in the back, keeping all of her siblings in her sight. She HAD to make sure she knew where all of them were. This place was strange, new, and... she was scared. She wanted to go back to Mamma, but she didn't know the way and she would NOT leave her brothers and sister behind. But she had to be brave. Qay pocketed the fear she felt and tucked it away. She had to be ready to defend her siblings if anything happened. She wouldn't let ANYTHING happen to them, even if it meant she had to get hurt.

Porfirio had never felt so confused in his entire life. He hadn’t put up much of a fuss about being taken here with his siblings. The fact that they were all together now was comforting, and yet his surroundings were strange and other than the rest of his litter, he knew no one. This fact alone would have been enough to upset him to some degree, and it didn’t help that he had no idea where his mother was at this point. But there was more to it than just that now. This male cheetah who had greeted them seemed to hide nothing, and even though Firio ought to have had many things on his mind just now, all he could think about was how graceful the cheetah seemed, and handsome. Rather like himself! And the ornaments he wore were lovely too… Like his brother Sol, Firio kind of wanted to know where he could find some like that. Instead of piping up like Sol had and being chastised by Rada, Firio asked a different question. “Well, I know what an entertainer is,” Firio spoke aloud, his voice velvety and soft as always, “But what do you mean by ‘currency?’ Do they trade you for stuff? What are you worth?” Firio didn’t think his questions were rude, but then, sometimes he overlooked stuff like that, being more than a little absorbed in himself.

Ajani was ready to answer all the cub's questions. He really wasn't expecting them to be so curious. It was nice to have some more cubs in the pride. "That rank, Nolan isn't it, is merchant. They travel outside the pride lands and trade with other prides." He explained. Than he laughed at Sol's out burst. "Well Sol, these I gained from being an entertainer. I earned them. I suggest if you want any of them to help out around the pride. Some members might reward you."
He than looked at Rada. "Bugie and Damevan'passie are both busy. I told them I would give them a break and watch you lot for a while. I promise you will see them again soon," he spoke softly. He knew that the cubs had already gone through an ordeal to get here and that it would be hard for them to adjust. He just hoped they would make peace and find a home here.
"Porfirio you are correct. Members who are currency can be traded and sold. They are some of the best in their field." He spoke proudly as he just made the rank currency. With the last question he felt his ears go warm. "How much am I worth? I never really thought about it. I'll have to ask Tabia about it. She's the council member in charge of the geisha's."

Nolan had drifted off into his own thoughts after he had asked his question. He wasn't too interested in his sibling's concerns, he had already come to terms with their new life - he liked to think it was because he was the eldest. His thoughts were quickly interrupted when Ajani addressed him. He nodded as the male got his name correct. Merchant... he thought, Hmm...
The cub listened closely as Ajani answered the other questions from his siblings. He found it even more intriguing when Ajani mentioned how he gained his treasure and a bit more perplexing was when he heard that some members were used as currency. Once he had finished, Nolan spoke up remembering Ajani's earlier statement. "I'd love to go see the merchants at work, and maybe even learn more about this "currency" thing."

The most she could do was hold the pain and bite that bottom lip. Looking to Sol. It almost tore her how most of them were going along with it but.. If Bugie brought them here. Then this was safety.. more than the roguelands that they had been so used to. Yes, she realized.. not all strangers were 'friends'... Not like Bugie. He was their friend! She casted her gaze away to each of her siblings and it hurt. But would this be..their home? From now til they grow up? Would Bugie find mother? And tell her where they went to?
"Ranks? Where are those." She lifted her head towards Ajani. "Do we need them? If we're not staying long. Or.." She looked at him puzzled and wanting answers that were probably too hard for any creature dealing with a pawfull of cubs.
"It looks safe so.." Slowly pulling down her guard- but just because everyone was for it. "Show us- your home. Wait. Is this Bug-ne's home!?" She tried to extend the fact it wasn't THEIRS yet, not til mother said so. Not til they were sure. But if it was Bugie's home, that means it could be theirs too! Safe.. Bugie wouldnt put them in danger! Every adult that passed, she noted.. every detail to even the top of the crater would be taken in to account. With her- nothing will get passed her. Leaning back, maybe she was just slightly harsh, lifting an ear to hear the answer to how much he was worth. To know that he didn't even know the answer! A smile.. edged on the side of her lips.
Looking to Sol, then slowly goings towards him. "I'm guessing you want the prettie shinies~ " Looking almost defeated and smiled even so. Then lifted her head to see... Obayana .. He hadn't spoke since they got here.. Side stepping and slinking next to him. "If this is Bug-ne's home.. we're safe. He'd never put us in harms way." Trying to reassure him.. "We'll be ok." Putting a paw over his. Trying to sound sure of it but... something in her wasn't rubbing the right way already...

"It isn't the only thing I think of Sissy Rada! I also think about how big your head is," he said sticking his tongue out. Than he looked back Ajani. "Yea Mister Ajani show us your house! Is it cool! Do you have treasure buried there? Sissy Rada I think he has treasure there. Wanna help me find it?"
He imagined that Ajani and the rest of the pride each had their own private treasure hidden away in their dens. Once he was old enough he would have his own treasure buried and hidden away so only he could find it. "Sissy Qay can help us! We can take all his treasure." his whispered so Ajani couldn't hear them. "I'll share they treasure with you two if you help and one else." He glanced at his siblings incase they heard.

Obayana couldn’t agree more with his sister Rada than he did right at that moment. They were who knows how far away from home with their mother nowhere in sight and all his brothers could think about were the trinkets that they saw? Turning to her, he said lowly, “You really think so? Why didn’t he tell us about this place before if he thinks we’ll be safe here?”
Skeptical as always, he tried to reason why they would be suddenly whisked away to a place that was supposedly good for them. Despite the uncertainty and small amount of fear he was feeling, he calmed at the feel of her small paw.
He huddled close to his sisters and considered asking to go home once more, but knew that it would be meaningless. Instead, he faced the grown up before them and asked the question that had been on his mind since they first arrived, “Why are we here?” He knew that he probably wouldn’t get a straight forward answer, but he thought he’s try anyway.

"Oh please- brother Sol!~ A big head~ Is that all you got~" Hoping none of her siblings wanted to go along with his escapade. Shaking her head then a paw to her face as soon as he tried to recruit others to snag the male's treasure. The Ultimate thought in her mind was 'he is gunna get us in so much trouble!' With her other brother's voice, to pulled her out of that mental state of thought and looked him over. Her face, sincere and thoughtful. "I dunno.." She was at a loss of what to tell him, those comforting words- she was barren of them. Her ears went down as she lowered her head and pressed it against him.
Looking up at Ajani for the answer to her brother's question.
"Yea.. why." Her tone went in almost a long-gated tone of child suspicions. Almost ignore Sol's commentary. Lifting her chin up and away from him.

Ajani smiled weakly at them. He didn't want to tell them he didn't have all the answers. They were just cubs, how were they expected to understand these things. "I was told that Bugie brought you here because your father was upset and your mother asked him to watch you. She didn't return so Bugie thought it would be best if you came here to Kuroi'Nera. He didn't tell you about it before because we have to be careful who we talk to about the pride." he said choosing his words carefully. He did not want to offend the cubs, or make them feel untrusted.
He looked up to toward the sun to see the time. "We don't have too long for me to show you around, so lets continue. I'll show you the merchants den and than take you back to Bugie. Is that alright with everyone or did yo have anymore questions?"
He hoped the cubs would be safe here. Hopefully the pride could locate their mother and bring her here to safety away from the father. It pained him to think of a mother who lost her cubs. The pain she must be feelings now must be horrendous.

None of this made any since. This wasn't HOME. Mamma wouldn't have just left them! She loved them all. She probably had come back right after Bugie took them away! Stupid Bugie! She had thought that he was okay, because Mamma knew him! She trusted him! But he had taken them away from Mamma! She is out there right now wondering where they all are because of Bugie. But here they were none the less. She would have to keep watch over her brothers and sister. As far as Qayyima was concerned, no one here could be trusted. Ajani seemed nice, but so had Bugie.
But when Ajani asked if they had any more questions, only one entered her mind. "Mister Ajani, how could I get stronger?"
