She hadn't seen Maji in weeks. Hell, shortly after their cubs had left on their Name Quests, he'd vanished. What had happened? Where was her love, her mate, the father of her cubs? What had happened to the strong-willed, fierce lion she'd fallen so hard for? Daima-tii-mlei flopped on her belly at the edge of one of the many 'islands' in the swamp, staring at the water only inches from her muzzle.
Without him, she felt a bit...empty. She'd been so used to having her family around growing up, then her brother with her while she followed Maji, then Maji himself and their cubs. And...well, his family just wasn't enough some days. She sighed, shaking her head. This wasn't like her...when did she turn into such a lovesick kitten?

It had been many months since the first of his cubs had returned to the swamplands, gaining a new name from her long journey. Radi was a replica of himself, but with the perfect blend of her mother’s colors. Speaking of her mother, it had been a while since he last spoke with her. The swamplands was a vast pride, so the possibilities of just where exactly she was was unknown to Talahm. All he knew, was she never was home anymore. Not even at the small pool of water they had found together. Even though he still had his lovely daughter, he missed Bari terribly. Could the previous events that had happened in the pride draw her away from the pride? Didn’t she know that she could tell him anything, and he’d stick by here, through thick and thin? If she wanted to leave, then he would follow her, to wherever she would go!
The aging lion sighed. Love was a finicky subject. What can make your heart so happy can also crush it in a simple moment. The den was lonely. It was once was constructed for eight lives, now leaving just one there. He trudged through the lands, almost with a mope feel emitting from his form. Sometimes the concept of love shouldn’t exist.
