Kurogoke was getting use to everything around her. It had been raining recently, the ground was soft and wet. She was laying upon a rock that had most growing over most of it. It was almost completely green. She almost thought it was a log at first, with how much moss was on it, but when she got closer she realized it was a rock. She had learned to enjoy the wetter landscape.
A frog hopped out in front of the rock she had been laying on. She watched it, ears perked up and eyes fixed. She had an urge to pounce on it. It was as if all at once her child-like playfulness came to her. Her back legs lived just ever so slightly--the frog crocked but didn't move. Her butt wiggled slightly as her back legs got ready to pounce, her front claws slowly extended. That frog was going to be her toy. Of course, she had no intention of actually hurting it.
She pushed herself off the rock towards the frog, As she landed, the frog quickly jumped out of the way. Of course, she didn't see it hop away. She slid a foot or two from where she landed, the ground was a lot more slick then she had original thought. Of course, she had been on the rock since it had started to rain, and it had stopped only recently. Mud had splattered on the rock behind her, and in all directions away from her. Not very far of course. She lived up her now muddy paws to see if she had caught anything.
"Rats." She said. There was nothing but mud. She continued to stare at the where she had hoped the frog would be.

Fiore was humming happily to himself as he sought out herbs that would be easier to pluck from the ground after the short rain. He was just about to rech down and pull up one such herb delicately with his teeth when the frog landed right under his nose.
"Uaaah~!
Startled, he jumped back. His back paws slipped in the mud, and the next thing he knew, his entire bottom was wet and muddy. He was unaware he had an audience, or he would have surely been blushing at his clumsiness.

She had heard someone near her. She didn't think anyone was around, looking about she watched the male slip back into the mud. She then saw the frog start hopping away. It was her fault the other had become as muddy as she. Well, maybe not as muddy, but still muddy. "Oh! I am.... so sorry!" she said in a sort of quiet voice. She felt completely embarrassed; it was her fault.
If only she had stopped to look around before pouncing at that frog, that wouldn't have happened. Though, she probably would have hid from the other as well. She didn't know how to start any conversations. Let alone introduce herself. She felt rather warm now, sitting up and looking towards him, hoping he wasn't hurt in anyway. Even though, it didn't look like he fell too bad.
She had bits of chunks of mud from her chest all the way down to her feet, then splattered bits of mud on her face. Mud covered most of her purple, though bits of it showed threw. "I.... didn't see.... you there." She said.

"'s not your fault," Fiore said, shaking out one of his back feet, "The frog just suprised me is all. And almost became lunch." At that thought, Fiore made a face. Frogs were nasty. But then again, mayhaps he had gotten a bit spoiled from his time onhis naming quest from which he'd recently returned.
"The name's Cozatl'Fiore, but I go by Fiore for short."
He looked her over. She sure was muddy, but then again - so was he. Now, anyway.
"Looks like you were having a time of it chasing that thing, hmn? Sorry to ruin your fun," he ended with a slight chuckle.

She giggled. She couldn't help it. The face he made had amused her a little bit. Almost as if he enjoyed eating frogs. It was almost silly to think that. She stopped giggling after he said his name. Her heart was racing, she wasn't use to talking to others. She had ran into maybe three pride members since coming here. None of them were the one who had shown her this place. She looked to her paws, then back to the male.
"I'm.... Kurogoke." She said. She had gotten use to this name, and enjoyed it even more than the name she was given by her parents. She looked back at herself, she didn't realize how stupid she must look. Her ears flopped down a little bit.
Though she giggled a bit. Gave a small pause before correcting him. "To... be honest, I had only.... just started." She hadn't gotten much into the chase, and had actually lost track of it before she knew he was even there. She felt her cheeks heat up. "And..... it kinda was my fault." She added. If she hadn't have jumped for the frog, he wouldn't have gotten muddy. Or at least not right that second. She had slipped in the mud the other day, so it was easy to get dirty.
Though, that was the fun of this place.

"Nice to meet you," He didn't remember her from before he started on his naming quest. That was so long ago, it now seemed. He was easily reaquainted with the swamps, now there were also new residents he had to aquaint himself with. And this didn't bother her at all.
"Ah, don't worry about it. I'm sure I would have gotten just as dirt eventually."
I a lace like this, it was easy to get dirty.

"The... pleasure.... is all mine" she said with a small smile. She hoped he didn't notice her nervousness, but it was hard not to. She was almost too shy for her own good, but she was trying to get over it; trying to better her fear. "Perhaps, but I could have gotten you hurt" She said now realizing it. At least he didn't, that was the good thing. There was a small chance that it could have gone wrong though. She'd have never forgiven herself.
