Oh no!! xp I very much do not like surprises. I even scour the nets for spoilers whenever I find a new tv show I like. And check the browser history to see if my husband has anything planned...
That said... I'm going to go out on a limb and assume it has something to do with.... FISH! 3nodding

Ok, its ready! And, it looks GREAT! I could only be any happier if mom had let my plant it XD I did sneak in two Java Ferns though The tank is 30 inches long, a 20 long, the best tank size EVER for something like this. The dividers are set at 9 inches from each end, leaving a 12 inch section for the King betta, whose name is now Ryuu. I bought a blue and black reversible background at PetSmart, a squeezey tube of Equate brand Vaseline (yes, I realize "Vaseline" in and of itself is a brand XD), and busted out my debit card. I also bought 3 Mystery snails, 2 golds and a black, one for each compartment. I honestly thought it would look totally ridiculous with a larger section in the middle, but its very... Dynamic, I guess. Looks good 3nodding Picture time!! Katsu Kaida:  Ryuu:  Hotaru:  Snail:  The dividers:  Background, dividers, and about 18 pounds of gravel:  Plants:  Had some fun with the silk flowers:    The finished product:  Katsu's side:  Ryuu's side:  Hotaru's side (the rock on the driftwood will go in the gravel once the wood is water logged):  The black snail:  Once the silicon is done curing and what not, I'll put the flowers in the tank. Not sure where to put them. Mom say's Katsu's side is done. I think they'll look the best in with Ryuu, since Hotaru is white... I need to get another AquaTech filter for Katsu's side. I had one, but its dead. The impeller won't move, but the motor runs. Strange. In the mean time, I'm going to move the Tom Mini over from Ryuu's compartment.

Thanks! I really love it, and so does mom (who it was set up for). I changed it up a bit, so I'll have to post updated pics of it.
Cracked tanks are horrible!! How do you live?! PetCo has their dollar per gallon sale all the time though *wink*wink*nudge*nudge*

Every time I go out I can never find King Bettas, I find half-moons, crowntails, veil tails, and many others but never Kings

Kalaria Kalathandra It looks amazing! Every time I go out I can never find King Bettas, I find half-moons, crowntails, veil tails, and many others but never Kings Great job! How long did it take to do? The only two places I have ever found Kings are Pet Supemarket and PetCo. Pet Supermarket doesn't always carry them, but they very well have the ability to order them. I starred the tank at 9 pm, and finished it at about 2:30 or 3 in the morning. I worked straight through, because I hate seeing the fish shoved up in those little cups

Ah, I hear you. I feel bad as well when I have to transport my fish and they are stuck in a bucket, cup, or bag for a long period of time. My boss and I spent almost 7 hours of work to repair the saltwater tank I manage, my interns made a huge mess over the summer for me -.-
The petco's that are near me never seem to have them...not that I'm gonna get another male, mine hates me and I dislike him, but I take care of him. He's hated me since I got him gonk

Its been a while since I could update this thread! Mom sent me some pics today on FaceBook, so I'll share them with you all smile Hotaru, still a fatty. Looking for food, I'm sure XD  Ryuu, as cute as ever <3 <3 <3 The duckweed in his compartment is doing very well!  And Katsu Kaida, forever camera shy >.< I'm surprised mom got him that close!
