It was a usual night for the pack; chilly, dark and quiet. Just how she liked it. The dark formed moved through the night effortlessly. This was her home and all she knew. That was why she had stayed to fight for it and rebuild. Alnilam's eyes looked over the ruins that still lay littered around. All of it rubble from the past. The pack was moving on and well.
How long had it been since the Great Tremble? Long enough that she had grown into a strong lady instead of a quiet pup. White paws stepped over cool grass. The night had always been kind to her and she respected that. While it took from them, it also gave back in turn. That was something that she was still trying to convince others of. A sigh escaped her maw. It would be a long night and one that required much thought.

Any time of day was perfect for the male honestly. Though tonight seamed to be one of those perfect nights. He could scene something in the air that things were going to change tonight- for better or so worse. He didn't know, he just had a gut instinct blazing up from his toe tips to the hair on the end of his ears.
Though maybe it was just the wind tickling at him that caused him to feel so strange. The possiblites were endless though and he needed to find out why he felt so strange tonight. He lifted up his head to the moon and gave a lonely bark.

Alnilam's head turned swiftly towards the sound of the bark. It was...odd. Only her pack was around these lands. Usually rogues did not wander this close to her territory in fear of her Colossus' wrath. Her body moved, making her way towards the sound. Perhaps it was one of her own out and about. Perhaps... Most were tending to their duties though some had no duties to attend to. Their pack was still struggling and without a miracle, it would likely fail no matter how much she struggled against her polar opposite.
"Hail, hound. Your name?" The lead called out to the darkness of night, hoping for a reply to her words.

Oh a reply! His prayers for companionship had been answered. Not only that it sounded like the alpha- or somebody equally important from the tone. He was quite excited actually to meet somebody of such 'power'. His tail gave a friendly wag; though not that she could see it in the dark.
"Hello...I'm Gallifrey." He yipped back friendly towards the female. "I joined a pack that lives here. Am I to assume I am graced by the leader herself?" He grinned playfully.

White paws carried her through the grass almost ghostlike until she came to find the..sunset colored dog standing there. He claimed to be a new member who had recently joined their ranks. A new member? So he was new-blood. Good, she needed to meet more of them anyways. Alnilam looked him over, dark eyes judging his form. Yes, he did not appear to be weak so should another Great Tremble occur, he would likely survive. She nodded to herself mainly, but also in reply to his question. "That is correct. I am one of the three leaders in these lands. You have the pleasure of addressing Baraza Alnilam." Her voice proud from addressing her own title. Not off did she hear herself actually say it. "What is your role in our pack, Gallifrey?"

What a glorious name and pelt. He tried hard as he could not to eye the leader up like some fresh piece of meat. He couldn't lie and say she wasn't attractive, or he wasn't attracted to her. "It's a pleasure to meet you miss-" He had to recall her name; it was quite long and quite complex. "Alnilam." Though he was unsure if he should have put the title first; he was really unclear of formalities still. "I'm a Night. Or I think that's what they call my position."He was still rather captivated by the leaders beauty.

"Baraza," She corrected. "We refer to others by rank, then name unless friend. Seeing as we have just met, we are not good enough of friends for you to refer to me that way," While Alnilam was kinder then the others, she did still hold a sense of dignity being the only Baraza of the three to be related to their predecessors. Perhaps they would become friendly enough with one another to the point that they could indeed refer to eachother in such a manner. The only reason she had not referred to him as Night Gallifrey was due to the fact that she knew not of his rank, but knew him to be from her pack as he had explained. "I see though. As a Night, you will have a great responsibility within my pack. I do hope you serve not only them, and myself well, but also our Star and Night Mothers as well."

He nodded at her and corrected himself. "Baraza Alnilam." He was going to have to get himself used to formalities like that. He was just so used to calling people by one name. Now he had to memorize two- or he could choose to be antisocial, not that it would work much in his favor. "I will do my best m'lady." He hoped the change in formality wouldn't offend her. But he really was having trouble remembering all the titles and new names from the other pack members. Maybe he could get away with 'sir' and 'ma'am' as long as he was polite about it.

The canine just rolled her eyes and nodded. He had potential to become a great Night and serve the Mothers well. For that, Alnilam would look overlook it. Others would correct him, teach him and make sure he learned everything there was to learn. "I'm sure you will." Her voice smooth as he rose to her feet. "Now if you excuse me Night Gallifrey, I have a meeting to attend. Perhaps we may chat another time."

"That would be nice." He nodded his head at her and watched her leave. He sighed, now he was going to be lonely again. He looked at her and hoped that 'another time' came soon. He was just to friendly to keep being anti-social like he was. He turned and watched her leave, alone again.
