A very red child found herself wandering outside of her mother's den. The rest of her siblings were inside, quietly napping. However, despite her good sleep, there were some days in which the sun woke her up earlier than usual. Even her mother, Iirte Aasa, was still slumbering inside, oblivious to her movements. But they were all growing, fully capable of knowing how not to stray too far into the dangers of the desert lands, or provoking an angry member of the Motoujamii-Simo. Surely she wouldn't get in trouble if she was caught wandering outside of the den, now.
She looked back inside, pondering the still movements. She couldn't help it when the sun's rays peeked inside to light up one of her black marked eyes! Why didn't anyone else have the same problem? She sighed, strutting back inside the den to look over the rest of her sisters. Hmm... perhaps this would work.
She brought forth a paw to poke at the hind legs of one of her darker colored sisters, prodding the still sleeping body.
"Wake up," she whispered.

The young lioness should probably be grateful to her family, for her strong resistance to the sun's early rays. Or perhaps it was just luck? Well, whatever it was, it didn't really matter to Soleil, she was immune to the sun's bright mornin rays. Completely capable of sleeping in as much or as little as she so desired.
Today however, wasn't going to be much of a 'lucky' day for her. this became immediately obvious as she felt the gentle prodding of her sister on her flank. With a low grumble in her chest, Soleil simply patted the annoying paw with her tail, hoping her sister would catch the hint.
But no such luck, the prodding continued - this time with a more verbal command. It just wasn't fair! Why did she have to wake up and keep her sister company?! Allowing one of her eyes to open in a slight slit, she took note that everyone else lie completely undisturbed by the antics. With a quick snap of her eyes, she pretended to sleep, letting out a long, rough snore to elongate the idea. But as with most things she attempted to lie or pretend about. She failed horribly, and she knew it.
With a groan, Soleil turned her head to face her sister, a severe look of distaste written all over it. "What?! She rasped, to her sister, swatting the other cubs paws away from her rear as she struggled to sit up without bothering her still, LUCKY, sleeping siblings.
