Ak-kila checked her behind her to make sure no one was following her. She knew with her luck that someone would be watching her as she snuck away near the border of the pride. Normally Ak-kila wouldn't be the type who disobeys others, but it was the fact that they said she was too young to wander alone that she found herself heading away from the pride. Hopefully none of her siblings will follow her. That would ruin everything.
She stopped and turned around and looked at the pride. This was the furthest she had ever been from her pride. The temple looked so tiny from here. She could hardly believe that her great temple she lived in was really such a small thing from a far.
She turned back and started walking. It wouldn't be long until she reached the oasis that she was heading too, the one her mother told her was off limits. She would prove to everyone she was old enough to do adult things. They would be sorry they ever doubted her. Filled with excitement, Ak-kila darted forward, running the rest of the was to the oasis.

 It had been a long time since the bonds between Ebio and Gin's family united as friends. Constantly Gin brought her kids to train out in the sands and sometimes Kowab, her best friend's son came along as well. This time, she wanted to spend some time with Ebio to gain some healing techniques that she hoped would serve her later. Along with her, two sons that seemed to love coming to the sandy region. Especially now that they had begun to make friends. "Don't wonder too far~" She spoke to her eldest. "I don't want to have to chase you down."  "Yes mum!" He smiled, as soon as they got to the boarder, initiated with a nod to one of the guards, the boy ran in. They were welcomed guests of Ebio'Femi's part. He passed the older female straight through the legs and off to find his beloved Luci.. To surprise her.  "Gin~" She bowed her head as they met up at the boarder, they usually met up here to train beside the oasis where Ebio usually snagged her herbs. Immediately she smiled at the little one beside Gin. "Utsuki~ Your not gunna go play with Luci too?" 
Her shook his head lightly. "I wanted to stay with mumma." But of course the snout was lightly pushed against his back. "Go on... or at least take a dip in the oasis, maybe that will make you feel better?" The heat was getting to him, and he was slightly exhausted so when Ebio suggested he take a dip, he wasn't up for debating, while the two went off to snag cactus and herbs in the desert... He dipped himself in the cooling water. That's what he needed, the water... Unlike his pride- it was always hot here. He took one breath of air before he went under...

As she neared the oasis she saw someone very unfamiliar. It was a juvenile like her, a male one. He wasn't part of the pride, at least as far as she knew, but he seemed harmless. As a mature lioness she should properly introduce herself, she thought as she slowly walked to him. She stayed a good few feet away, just incase he wasn't friendly and attacked her.
"Hello there," she spoke with a soft voice as she looked him over. "I don't think we've met, my name is Ak-kila. Are you part of Tuait'tekem? I've never seen you in the pride, that is why I ask." She took a sip of water afterward to quench her thirst.
"You know you should be careful out here. It's dangerous for youngsters to be out here by themselves. There are plenty of creatures that could take young lions down." She said, not realizing how hypocritical she sounded, she only worried about the young lion.

He swam for a few moments, and to his surprise, it was exactly what he needed to cool his body down. Back then, water was so plentiful, and easy to get to- but those that hadn't gotten used to the sands harsh weather were likely to faint. When he rose his head out of the water, shaking his tiny hair fluff out, and opening his breezy purple eyes. He saw a beautifully dark female but of course he couldn't help but sink back in to the water a little when she spoke.
A matter of fact- that's the tone he picked up from her and slowly he went to another edge of the oasis and jumped out in to a rock. Shaking his fur out and tossing his head to look at her. "We're alliances." He took the word straight from his mother's mouth... when Ebio and his mother had spoke about their cubs playing and training. It was apparent that the family would soon become an alliance. "I'm Utsuki. I've been to chur pride many times befur ( wheezes a little ) I saws you around befur." [ before ] His slurring and slang speech was a lot better from when he was a cub.
"But your always deepe in the pride. We like staying near bourber." [ near the boarder ]. Then jumped out and shook himself off. "You should be carebul too. What chu doing out den?" [ careful, you, then ]

"It's nice to meet you." She smiled at him. "I am a mature young lioness and I'm practically an adult. Adults can go where ever they please, so I decided to come out to the border." she explained, trying to look taller than she actually was.
"What is your pride like? I've never been anywhere but here." She often dreamed about leaving the pride, but she knew she would never do such a thing. This was her home, her wonderful home and she never wanted to change that. It would be nice though to go on a little break and see other places. She heard from others that there were lands where there wasn't sand. It was hard for her to believe, but she knew it was possible.
"You didn't travel here by yourself did you? That would be really dangerous." Even she wouldn't have tried to travel from one pride to another. She would make sure to have a big strong lion with her to keep her safe.

He leaned over to the oasis to snag a drink to settle his throat so it wasn't so raspy. Truely he had gotten better with his speech but he was a tad embarrassed of it. "An adult?" He thought about it, if she was close to the boarders then maybe she was mature, but then again he was around other pride boarders all the time.. so. Putting two and two, he lifted his chin up like the adults do.
"You neber been outside da boarder?" [ never, the, boarder ] He questioned as if that was a foreign idea. Luci also couldn't leave... but sometimes he would see her play with him and his brother far out where they trained. Of course, her uncle was always there to keep watch. "It's... family. My pride is family. We work as one and care for one anober. We defend the sick and poor~ we help those in need.. we travel a lot." Nodding his head with pride. But the next question, seemed preposterous all on it's own.
"Mum comes with us. She leads us to the best training spots of each region. We train a lot- but I'm not a fighter. I'm a story teller, that's what the seer said...." He sounded a tad disappointed in himself. The only one out of his family to be a storyteller. The rest were fighters... His line, he was bred to be stronger than the body he was given.. " What do you do here~ ? What do you wanna be.."
