Dark Forest

[Aelavi]

A doom ridden forest where Beasts and such live. Another questionable thing is that the teachers require students that are to be punished to go and kill a beast. Scary.

Rayamo ran up to the edge of the forest, looking for signs of his sister and her captor.

Vivian walked steadily and quietly behind, doing the same task. So far, she was only seeing dragging marks on the ground. Her knife was still in her hand, the blade sticking into the air. She had seen a bunch of terrible things, before and after she met that woman. Especially kidnapping; that was very common in where the two of them lived. She was scared of being kidnapped, because when she had seen someone being taken, she would imagine them slowly dying in many different ways. It gave her nightmares sometimes.

Rayamo noticed a small trail in the decaying leaves and he pointed. He stalked along slowly following the trail.

Vivian saw him point at the trail, and followed him along. She began to notice the forest getting darker and darker, even though it was still daylight. She took some deep breaths, and kept on following him.

He noticed a small dark clearing ahead of them and crept behind a bush. He saw his sister propped and tied to a tree and still unconsious. He slowly drew his sword and the guy by the fire looked around at the scrape of steel. Rayamo froze as the man walked slowly toward his sister with a small dagger.

Vivian saw the man, and also was petrified. She saw the man walk close to the tied up girl, but she also saw the man coming towards them too. She took a deep breath, and showed him her knife, trying to tell him with this gesture to back away, but she was sure he wasn't going to. She glanced at her roommate, giving him an expression that would tell him to do something. Vivian wasn't going away from the situation, but she didn't want to just stand there either.

Rayamo shook his head slowly and finished drawing his sword. With his burned hand, he pointed to the man, hoping she would understand his gesture.

Vivian didn't understand at first, but after a second she reallized what he meant. Her power she then activated, and she let go of her knife. The knife floated in the air, and then she guided to the rope which was holding the unconscious girl, and the knife began to cut the ropes loose. Then she saw the man attempt to attack her and Vivian backed away while trying to make the knife do its job.

The man swung his sword to kill Vivian, but Rayamo blocked it with his own blade. He kicked the man in the gut to get him away from her. The two circled each other warily. The man darted close to Rayamo and gave him a small cut on the arm. Rayamo hissed and swung his sword with his good arm. The man blocked and swung again, catching Rayamo in his side. He grabbed it with his bad hand and jabbed at the man. Just then a Beast burst out of the forest and tackled the two causing them to fall to the ground.

The knife did the job done, and Vivian ran to the unconscious girl, who looked almost awake. Vivian grabbed her bridal style with her arm on her girl's back, making the girl's head against Vivian's small chest. Vivian began to run out of the forest quickly, picking up her knife in the process. As she ran out of the forest, she ran far, but then she suddenly tripped and fell. With the body in her arms, Vivian rolled on the ground and landed on her back. She tried to lift her head up, but then everything went black.

Rayamo saw her fall out of the corner of his eye and the Beast charged for her. He ran in front of it and as it got closer he leveled his sword with its head. It crashed full force into him, throwing him back a good ways into a tree. The Beast crashed to the ground and lay still with the sword sticking out from between its eyes. He knelt slowly and walked to it and grabbed his sword and saw the man with his raised. Rayamo barely blocked it in front of his face. The man stepped back and fell on an upturned claw of the Beast. He swore and leaped off and ran into a darker part of the forest. Rayamo walked quickly to his sister and Vivian. Both lay unconsious yet and he slung one over each shoulder, wincing when his sister's foot hit his still bleeding gash. He walked quickly to the school building and to his own dorm.

Susie had been walking around for a couple hours, and it ended up in the forest. She remembered Morgra's warning, and she took a deep breath. She knew that she would be considered an idiot for walking into the dark forest, but she wanted to find whoever was inthe forest. She knew how to defend herself; she learned hand to hand combat by her father a long time ago.

Shawn saw Susie walking and chuckled as she walked beneth his tree. He jumped down in front of her. "What are you doing alone in here?"

Susie screamed for a second when some random dude jumped in front of her. She calmed down and looked at him with her hands on her hips.
"You must be one of those Robin Hood wannabes," she commented, not in a mean way, but not a nice way either.
