Bodair was bored she had told the male to come to her she had assumed he would get it was at first light like before. She was shivering and running out of things to think about. She already had a plan on what she was going to done once her got here. She let out a huffed sounds before she got up and began to pace before moving back to flop down as she began to mutter under her breath.
What if he wasn't coming? She growled as she looked to the pit where they had dueled the day before. She smirked a little remembering how she had gotten the large male onto his back she really must try and do that again. She was slowly starting to warm up her chest swelling with pride thinking of the teasing and victory she achieved. She had no idea the male was coming up behind her at all to lost in her own little world.
"I'll show him next time too!" She vowed her ear twitched and she let out a small growl and looked behind her.

Even though he didn't like leaving his den so 'late' after the sun was beginning to show he'd made the decision to make her wait. Well, he wasn't actually positive if she'd be waiting or not, because she didn't seem to be very much for the morning. Still, she'd never specified a time and that made it easier for him to take his sweet time. After a while of sitting, awake, in his den alone though... he got up and headed out. Boredom could get any lion's legs moving, he figured.
He walked the long way just to make sure he'd take even longer in getting there, so when he finally approached he was pleased to see the rogue-born female already there. Crap, had they still not exchanged names? His tail flicked and he chuckled softly to himself, still far off from her.
He was still very curious of what it was she wanted from him. Clearly not training. He snorted at the thought and shifted his gait, treading lighter on the sands as he began to sneak toward her. So when she spoke last he heard fully what she said. And when she turned to look behind her his nose was practically touching his own. "Show him what?" He said innocently enough, assuming that she was speaking about him though.

She huffed and noticed it was the male the one she had asked to come. She turned around quickly and began to jab her front paws at the sand a little. "Hmph took you long enough." She said under her breath. She looked to the ring and then to the sky glaring at the sun to hurry up and warm her.
She finally stood stretched out nice and slow. In doing this her front was down against the ground and her rear was up in the air as she clawed at the slightly damp sand still. She then move forward and stretched out her legs before shaking her head a few times getting the sand from her pelt. "Are you ready to know what I want?" She said with a slight smirk as she looked over her shoulder to him.
"I'm not hearing a yes." She teased after only a moment. She figured the male would be quite edger to know what it is she would want from him. Gods know she had been then it only turned out to be something rather boring though it had come with one small benefit. She had won and was able to tease him in a almost near constant state since winning at least she hoped.

He sighed just slightly, she was getting better at ignoring him and doing whatever it was she wanted, wasn't she? He shifted and moved around her to sit himself in front of her. "It could have taken me all day if I wished it." He stated seriously, that tiny bit of annoyed tone licking at his voice. "You never set me an exact time, so it didn't matter when I came, did it? This was a favor to you. Coming here so early." Someone had a tangled mane this morning, didn't he? He really was just curious of what she wanted... over and over he had to tell himself she wanted something petty like his name... or another duel.
He wasn't sure he wanted to duel her again... their duels were not very exciting. As she asked him if he was ready to hear what she wanted he opened his mouth to reply, and then she spoke again. His mouth flicked shut, his gaze narrowed in annoyance and then his face smoothed and his brows rose as if to say 'no, not really'. It was odd, sometimes her teasing was somewhat amusing to him and sometimes it just really irked him.
He was debating telling her she could keep it to herself for all he cared, but then he'd never know what it was she wanted of him... "You're more than welcome to spit it out. I doubt that pretty little head of yours could come up with anything interesting anyhow." He smirked slowly, wondering where his quick wit had come from since meeting this lioness.

"Now now didn't your mother ever tell you to wait a watch before you pounce on your prey?" She teased him as she began to walk off over the dunes and out into the hunting grounds. This was he plan to keep what she wanted a secret till he could no longer stand it. otherwise where was the fun in that?
Right now though prey sounded so good to her ears. She hadn't really eaten much the day before since she had duels she never liked to over load her stomach after so much exercise. She hummed a very soft little tune to herself as she moved out into the hunting ground she began to sniff out some interesting game before setting out to follow from tracks.
She wasn't to worried about him not following her she was sure they would meet up sometime during the day and in some way or another he would demand to be told what it was she wanted.

He frowned at her words, again she seemed to just ignore whatever he said and spoke whatever came to her own mind. His tail gave a little flick and he scowled as she rose and began to move off. Where the hell was she going? His blue gaze flickered towards the dens, severely tempted to stay where he was. It wasn't like she'd asked him to follow... unless that she wanted had to do with heading into a more private area? He felt his body heat a little at the embarrassing thought and he shook it free from his mind. If that was the case she'd be heading toward the dens... and if that was the case he definitely should have been going in the opposite direction.
Despite his better judgement he rose and began to follow well behind the female. Once he got over the dunes he kept the darker pelted female in his line of sight, but he did not pick up his pace so he would be in speaking distance. If she wanted to toy with him like this he wasn't going to fully give in... or so he told himself.

She looked over her shoulder just enough to see if she was being followed and yes she was! Her heart skipped a beat or two as she quickly turned her attention back onto her task at hand. Why did he always cause this feeling inside her gut? It wasn't good or bad just foreign. She finally found a small heard of gazelle that where terribly lost in the desert. Shame on them for being stupid she thought but lucky for her. She licked her lips and began to stalk them.
It wasn't long till had a kill she was very good at stalking and prey and even quicker at the killing part. She never would admit it to anyone that she knew just how to kill pretty much anything. She played dumb during duels and always insisted she didn't know what she was doing. Letting her body dance about when really she did. From all the experiences she had under her belt she could almost be confused for a master in the art of killing. Granted all these death had not been by he own doing and she had been under a curse she still had the movements engraved into her subconscious.
She made sure not to rip any of the meal open only snapping its neck. this was to make sure no sand would get in it as she began to drag it back to the pride so that the meal would not be wasted once she had her fill. Sure she could have asked the male if he wanted any but she was sure that he could easily manage to get his own food.
"Are you ready to know what it is I want?" She asked while dragging the meal to the pride. She smirked a little as she kept moving. "I might tell you once I'm fool."

After a while they both spotted a lone gazelle. How it'd made it's way this far into the desert he'd never know, but it didn't matter because after a very short period of time the female had taken it down and killed it. He was surprised at what a graceful hunter she was, it was a pity she didn't show the same mixture of grace and power in the sparring pit.
When she began to move past him, he'd long since taken a seat on a dune, she began to tease again. Ah, he realized what she was doing. It was hard not to. He moved to his paws and walked along side her for a moment, then gave her one of his largest, most fake smiles he could manage. "Well then enjoy your meal. Actually, I find I'm very bored with the affair. Clearly you haven't made up your mind on what it is that you want... and until you do... well, good luck finding me." Each word held an edge of annoyance... he'd basically told her right away what it was that he'd wanted.
And what he'd wanted was to benefit her... but that was a big pile of dust down his throat, wasn't it? Because she'd simply ignored the training all together. She did as she pleased; it was infuriating. And to keep waving it around that she held some sort of prize over his head... He found himself chuckling. He'd been right from almost the beginning... this one was just a cub trapped in an adult's body. His tail gave a little flick and he picked up his pace, naturally able to move faster than the female dragging along a hunt.

She almost glared at the male but she brushed it off quickly two could play at that game. She dragged the meal to the pride ate and then went on about her business. She huffed and grumbled all the while she was not going to go to him and tell him no! Who did he think he was?
Late in the evening however she began to get a little upset that he hadn't come back to her. She was sitting at the mouth of her den playing with bone rolling it in the sand under her paw. she muttered under her breath how she didn't need a male all of them where annoying and she would be better off without them. She then began to mutter about how he was wrong about her skill and how she could show him up.
"Piff yeah like I even want to duel him again!" She yelled out before picking up the bone and tossing it out into the open growling loudly before stalking back into her den to find the warmest spot and snuggle up for the night.

Canicus' day was fairly normal after he'd finally tore himself away from the dark-pelted lioness. He couldn't spend all day just waiting for her to tell him whatever it was she'd deemed herself worthy enough to win. Not that it mattered, because all day the little question of what sat at the back of his mind, poking and prodding and driving him practically mad. Still, he had more pride than to bring himself actually looking for her. He could run into her whenever, it wasn't a big deal. And he kept telling himself so too, so maybe it would be more believably to his mind.
He moved along the dens in a slow gait, the sun had been down for a little while and the air was very cool. In fact, it was almost frosty out in the desert. He was glad his own den wasn't too far away, his bones were beginning to hurt. Suddenly something clunked him right in the snout, and he snarled and sneezed at the same time. He shook his head as he looked around, body tense.
Then he heard it. He heard the dark little rogue-turned-firekin... he found himself laughing slightly as she yelled out, each word easily audible. He wouldn't be surprised if more than half of her neighbors had heard her. Well, was this good luck or bad luck?
He took a few slow steps toward her den. When he was near the mouth of it he slowly sat himself down. "Ready to tell me what you want, sweets? Or are you going to continue this childish game of yours?" He figured taunting her like that would either get her pissed enough to tell him... or pissed enough to not speak to him for a few days.

She was about to lay down when she heard the male at her den. Her head snapped to him as she glared before it changed almost instantly hearing him call her sweets. Her ears rested back against her head just a moment before her angered returned. She stormed up to him got right in his face.
"You! why should I tell you? All you do is call my childish and put me down and insist that I have no skill. Though I have yet to see you bring a kill to the pride each day no matter it be big or small!" She began to yell at him getting rather huffy now she then began to but her head against his chest pushing him further form her den.
"Go on go! I don't need you. I don't need to know you in fact that is what I wish never to know you!" She yelled out furious now as she pushed him away before storming back into her den letting out a few small whines and curling up tightly around herself.
She began to lick her shoulder a nervous habit she grew to have when she was so very upset the marks on her shoulder reminded her of her past and why she chose be alone instead of near others. Maybe she should leave? Even though it was nice being here and apart of something she was cursed.
"I don't need him...or anyone." She whispered softly before trying her best to rest now and not thinking of the male but nothing would stop him from popping up into her head.

His eyes widened almost at once when she came so close, suddenly pissed. This was very unreasonable anger, so he thought. He could feel his fur standing on end in several places, and his body and muscles tense as he leapt back to all four paws and packed slightly away from her. He backed up with each bump of her head against his chest, grunting at each. His tail was lashing at this point, his own anger growing. "Insult! No skill! Since when! I was merely giving what I got!" He snarled back, but his words did not carry above a normal speaking tone.
He was actually confused. Was he not supposed to tease those that often teased others? How did that make sense? But she was already turning away from him and storming back into her den. He stood there, frozen, for a long moment. He was quite shocked, completely speechless. What had just happened? He didn't realize she was getting that mad over their interaction... but what the hell! None of it was really that fair, was it? Wasn't she just thinking what she wanted to? He scowled and took a deep breath, readying himself as he pushed forward and this time actually went into her den! Normally he'd never go into another's den without permission, especially a stranger. He'd only known this lioness for a few days, he still didn't know her name. It was like he'd gone mad or something!
He wanted to yell at her, for once to scream at someone who'd lost their temper with him get back what they gave... but the site of her curled up just seemed... seemed so pitiful. It disgusted him and infuriated him while it made his stomach twist in knots, and made him instantly want to protect her and fight whatever was the cause of her being like this. Of course, he couldn't very well fight himself. He couldn't really make out what she whispered to herself but he cleared his throat. "Now you listen hear... you don't even know my name let alone how I socialize and I don't see how it's fair for you to say whatever the hell you want to me when I'm not allowed to give back as good as I get... And why should it matter if I make a kill for the pride or not every day? Not all of us are hunters here! That's the whole point of some lions being skilled in hunting, they hunt!" It seemed his anger had won out of all of his other emotions, which was rare.
"Finally.... fine! That's what you want then? Wish granted." He spat those words as he turned, though he felt instantly terrible and like he was doing a very bad thing as he stalked for the exit. "Just pretend we never met. Enjoy your damn games." He hissed those words, tail lashing.

The female lifted her head up she was mad he came in but what he was saying made he forget that he just walked in like he owned the place what he said was...true she did use to much anger on him. After all she knew little about him he probably wasn't even a hunter at all but when he turned from her and said those words. her eyes widened and she wasn't sure that the pain she was feeling was even possible.
She realized now what she had said and regretted it but she couldn't go no her body was glue to the den floor her pride would not let her run after him and beg him to return and tell him she was sorry.
She quickly turned from the sight of the mouth of her den no longer able to watch him leave. she curled up tighter around herself as she struggled to breath what was going on? why was she acting like this how could that fool have made such a deep impression on her!?
