Theluji, himself, was still in the process of adjusting himself to his new life, in both location and socially. The other lions who had lived here seemed peaceful and nice enough, and the sandy atmosphere that had entrapped him and of which had seemed rather harsh at first was slowly beginning to feel more forgiving and he began to feel even more fortunate to have such brightly colored fur that naturally repelled the scorching rays of the sun. He was also beginning to see that being assigned to the guardian status in this pride was not just to keep him out of the way, for these lands appeared to have little to no outer threats, but that he was truly an equal and key part of their community. How foolish and short-sighted of him to think such a thing! But wasn't this his own personality? How could he possibly judge himself with such a miniscule thing, for he couldn't possibly change something as solid as the person who he was!
Anyway, he was simply on his usual routine, wandering around the territory by his lonesome, the only thing that he had from his past life before joining the pride. He cherished the times like this, being that this was the only style of life that he had known since he was a young cub. Fortunately for him, his paw pads were hardened by traveling over all sorts of terrain all over Africa, so the scalding sands took a bit longer to bother him. Still, his back was beginning to irritate him, and he began to seek out shelter. With the sun glinting dangerously into his eyes and the heat waves shifting his vision, he simply walked emptily towards the darkest spot he could detect, and in the process he nearly stepped over the black and white lioness who had already claimed it as her sanctuary. His fur briefly bristled up in surprise, but it settled down as soon as he recognized her appearance as Tuait'Tekem like himself. Still, what was he to say to this lioness after intruding on her spot in the shade? He may be in a pride now, but that didn't mean he was any good at social interactions just yet.
"Erm, I'm sorry for that..." Theluji nearly mumbled his words, still mulling over what had occurred within the last few moments. Besides, it wasn't that he was necessarily shy, but he was a bit embarrassed, in a way to put it. He wasn't sure how to handle such a situation in a positive light, for any run-ins such as this one that he had in in his past life were all of aggression and usually only led into an immediate brawl.
