 It had been some time since he had walked away, he was determined this time to be at full health before he walked in to the fire pride again and called for a chalenge. Lashing his tail he roars loudly, hoping someone was within ear shot, hoping that this time he would gain access to the pride and rejoin his siblings in the pride. He had already lost three duels, he was praying that this time his skills as a warrior would allow him to get in to the pride.

 The growl that answered his challenge was one of annoyance as Chaka stalked through the sands, moving out to greet the challenger. He was unaccustomed to dueling for the sake of these.. rogues, and quite displeased that he was close enough to be able to meet one at all. Still, he would take up the duel.
He eyed the black-pelted male as he approached him, already crouched and prepared to strike. Better to get this over with quickly. He had far more important duties to perform.

Xagan grumbles quietly, circling the other male, eyeing him wearily, he was determined this time to get good shots in, to end this duel quickly and finally gain his right to join the firekin.
His sisters, they had been inside for so long now he was worried about them, all of these big strong males and his two strong willed sisters within. How was he supposed to protect them if he wasn't in there?

His first swing had been a wide one, a warning to the male as he missed entirely before beginning to slowly stalk around his opponent. When the dark-pelted male didn't back down or flee, he growled out in agitation that he would have to be going through with the fight. Pressing forward he struck out a second time, claws glancing across the male's shoulder as he passed, turning to prowl around him once more.
He had size on his opponent, but unfortunately that always made them harder to hit. He was proud of his strength, but he wasn't cocky. The winner of this battle would be unclear until the end of it.

Roaring at the big male as he took a strike to his shoulder, the large black and white male dove for the red males chest hoping to head butt him hard enough to wind him and guarantee him a win. The target was big enough any way, he just had to hope the other lions chest didn't break his head.
He chuckled inwardly, he swore to himself that he would get in this time. He had to re-join his family.

He roared out in anger as he took the hard blow to the chest, stumbling back and swinging blindly at the other male. He missed by a good bit, but at the least got some distance between the two of them, slipping into a defensive crouch as he struggled to pull his breathing back together after the well placed hit. No matter how well placed it had been, it was a reckless and risky move.. The rogue was obviously a bit desperate to get into the pride, vaguely he wondered how many duels the other had failed as he eyed him for the next strike.

The hit to the other lions chest left him feeling a bit dazed but it didn't stop him from leaping once again, trying to close the distance and sink a good hit. He bites fiercely at the male lions shoulder, hoping to catch him unawares. At least his desperate head butt seemed to have left the other lion a little breathless.
It was his chance to strike, he felt that at last he may be able to win a fight and re-join his sisters.

With the weight of the other male striking into him again and the teeth sinking into his shoulder, a pained yowl escaped him this time, stumbling down into the sand with his opponent, and struggling to try and throw the other off. Rather futilely, it seemed, his paws hit again the male's hide but he didn't have enough room to do more damage than a light tap from their current position.. After a brief struggle he finally shoved the other male back from him once more, stumbling to his feet much worse for the wear... It seemed their little fight was very nearly over.

Stumbling backwards, Xagan splayed his paws to catch himself in the sand. He felt himself quite lucky, the sand hadn't been his downfall this time. He heaved a heavy sigh and let a slight smirk raise his maw. "You ready to give up? I really want to see my family." He raises a brow his muscles still tensed but he was taking deep breaths calming himself down, ready for another attack or, hopefully, the submission of the red male.

That smirk... That pulled one more attack out of the annoyed, and defeated male. He heaved himself forward quite suddenly, paw smacking across the other males face, however he didn't have his claws extended. A bruising blow but not a mutilating one. " Watch the attitude, newcomer.. " He grumped out as he stalked past the male to begin making his way up the dune behind them that lead back toward the heart of their land.
He paused at the top, shooting an agitated look back at the other. " Well? I don't have all evening... Come with me and I'll take you to the dens.. You can figure you're own way out from there... " He muttered, not waiting any longer for the other to start following as he moved off.
It really just wasn't his day...

The big gray male rubbed his face irritably but he let his smile streak across his face. It seemed he was finally home. "Thanks." He picks his paws up and pads after the big red male, the feeling of pure exhilaration, he was finally home.
"I'll find my way just fine when I find my sisters." He breaths a sigh of relief and follows the other male to the dens a real spring in his step.
