User ImageMsrah was hanging out inside the temple, trying to get some rest before his rowdy wards were finished with their class. He knew the scribe in charge of the current class, and the old lion could be a bit long winded at times. It usually resulted in a bunch of under stimulated kids with very itchy paws, ready to make some mischief. He could usually keep up with them just fine, but he had started to appreciate the small breaks.

Right now he was content just watching lions of the pride passing by. There were some new faces, and some lions he'd known all his life. New lions still awoke his curiosity, and he loved hearing about the outside world. Nothing he'd heard had made him want to leave his birth pride, but it was interesting to know what else was out there.

User Image Tifara woke this morning with the intent of creating a masterpiece from a dream she had during her rest last night, but everytime she tried to get started something would come up. She was supposed to met her adopted father later on to create a painting on the rock of his current dwelling and she wanted to make sure she had all the tools she needed. Lan'tis had been there for her during that horrible time before joining the dawnwalkers; the best yet worst time of her life.

She popped her head up from underneath her bedding and gave a triumphant squeal at finding what had been missing. Quickly moving towards the small water hole in her home that she used as a mirror, she looked down. By the gods. What a mess. An amused smile graced her face as she took in her hair which was going in all different directions. Tifara or Fara as Lan'tis liked to call her or 'kid' which she didn't really like but Lantis was set in his ways. She used her paw to try and manage the unruly hair but all was for not as it bounced back up. "Oh well it can't be helped guess I'll have to bath later." Gathering her supplies Tifara quickly made her way across the land not noticing that a brush fell from her bag.

Msrah had entertained himself with trying to remember the name of the light coloured female that rushed past. He was pretty sure she was the one that had been taken in by the guard with a pelt like a sky full of stars. When she dropped the brush his first thought was 'Ha! I knew she was an artisan!' But when she made no move to pick up her tool he scrambled to his feet to make sure didn't lose it.

He knew he hated it when he lost something, uh... like a cub. And while losing kids was much worse than losing trinkets he knew the nice thing to do would be to help her. He picked up the brush in his mouth and dashed after the female.

"Eey," he shouted after her, not making much sense since he had to hold on to the brush too, "Oh oggh ee UGH!"

Tifara froze like a deer caught being stalked like prey at the sound of the shout. She turned her head to watch a male come running after her which caused a flashback of being chased weeks before. She started to hyperventilate until she saw..her brush in his mouth. "O-oh," She blinked her surprise before manners kicked in. "Thank you. That brush was gifted to me and I would have been devastated to loose such a thing." Tifara eyed the other male curious. He was pleasant to look at and like most lions had in this pride his fur was lovely pale colors adorning his body. She bit her lip awkwardly trying to find something to say. " I am Tifara'Divina, it is nice to meet you. I have only been here about two weeks and I have been greeted many times." She smiled shyly before continuing. " I feel very welcome here unlike the rogue lands."

For a moment there the lioness almost looked scared, but it might just have been his imagination. He put the brush down carefully and wiped away some drool from the handle. When he looked up again Tifara looked perfectly normal again, so he figured she'd just been surprised.

"Good day Tifara'Divina," Msrah said with his friendliest grin, "I'm called Msrah since I was the fifth born of my siblings."

He usually didn't explain his name, but he had learned that lions from outside didn't always know what the most common names meant. Languages and naming traditions differed, it seemed.

"Well," he said, "I'm glad I could help, and I might be biased but I'm pretty sure this is the best pride there is."

"H-hello Msrah," Tifara's eyes widen at the number of siblings, that poor mother all those little ones at birth. A small shy smile crossed her lips at the pride in his voice about his homelands. "I was just on my way to see another but I could use some company while I gather some food first or try to find something to munch on around here."

Bending down she picked up her brush and placed the utensil into her bag lovingly. Closing it she looked up through her semi-long mane, yes her female mane. "How does that sound? " She decided to be brave for once and take a leap of faith that the other would not harm her in a physical way.

Msrah watched her as she tucked the brush away, curious about what else she might have in her bag. And it was hard not to look at her since she was a pretty lioness, a very pretty lioness... It might be best not to stare too much so he met her gaze instead of studying her interesting coat pattern.

"Sure," he said, voice breaking a tiny bit, "That sounds good. The hunters might have brought in something nice. I have some time over before I need to pick up the kiddos and entertain them again."

She looked up from her packing and blinked. "Kiddos?" She stumbled over the word. "You have children?" She was curious as she had liked children but from a far, it wasn't like she hated them it was just... she was unfamiliar of them. "Oh that is wonderful!" Her stomach seemed to agree as it let out a loud grumbling noise. " I could possibly show you what I am working on after we eat." She looked between her bangs shyly. "If you are interested."

She began to make her way to the area in which the hunters spent most of their time. "I like your teal-blue jewelry, it is rare. I mostly see gold bangs on lions that live in this land."

Msrah would have loved to have his own cubs, but he wasn't married yet and the girls he was or had been interested in all seemed more interested in being friends. He wasn't old, but he felt he ought to settle down and get married to a nice girl soon. Many lions younger than him were already married and probably expecting young, and it stressed him out a little. It was a blow to his ego every time he met a parent that was younger than him... A large family was the norm for him, and he was a bit sad that he didn't have one of his own.

"Oh, err..." he said, "No, I'm a nanny so they aren't truly mine. But I still love 'em..."

He wasn't sure what else to add to that so he seized the next opportunity to change the subject.

"What do you work with," he asked, then remembered the brush, "Painting? I'd love to see your work."

Shiny metal accessories were part of life in Tuait'tekem and there were plenty of it left behind when the humans disappeared. Msrah knew nothing about that, of course, and he had never questioned the abundance of lion-sized jewelry. He had learned that metal jewelry was rarer in the roguelands and in other prides, but the rogues that joined his pride usually acquired at least a bracelet or two sooner or later.

"Yes," he agreed, "It's more common not to add colour to the metal I suppose. You should try to get some silver ones, those are nice too and I think they'd look nice with your colours."

"Oh I see, " Tifara smiled shyly before nodding. "Paints mostly, but I do enjoy making jewelry. Of course, I will take you to my workshop. It is not too far away from here but then I really must be going soon afterwords." She looked apologinically up at the male beside her before gesturing her paw in front of her before she moved on ward. She blushed at the compliment. " Thank you I will have to look into finding some silver metal to ware in future. Well, here were are my home away from home."

It was a bit of a mess as she had been creating recently and hadn't gotten around to fixing the place up. " I craft over there and most nights I sleep in this area here. Other than that... um thats it." She nodded sheepishly before her ears perked up at a distant sound. " Oh I am late. I am so sorry Msrah my adopted father is calling for me and I did promise to see him today. We will have to get together another time." She lead the other male out before smiling and waving fairwell.

"Oh, jewellery," Msrah said and his ears perked up, "I've been menaing to find someone who can get me some jewellery."

Most of the bangles and shinies were already made by the lost humans, but the artisans tweaked them and kept them in good shape so they were the ones to ask about these things. Msrah had got an idea in his head that he should get Zehoret something nice to wear to cheer her up. She was sick often and since she wasn't born into the pride she wouldn't get her first jewellery by her parents. And... It would be very nice to cheer her up.

"This place is really nice," he said when they got to the workshop. He meant it too, and he figured this was the way it was supposed to look. "Do you think we could talk about the jewellery some other time when you're less busy?"

"Oh! I wouldn't mind making you some jewelery." She nodded thoughtfully. "Of course, we can discuss the style and colours in future when I am not too swamped with other orders!" Tifara smiled at Msrah. " Sorry but I really do need to go now. I promise I will get back to you about your order or orders if you like my work. I'll be sure to put your name down somewhere so your order doesn't get lost." Tifara lifted her paw and waved it in a fairwell gesture before walking away.
