Babbini was far away from his pride. Farther than he ever expected to be, and to be quite honest he wasn't sure how he felt about this. He would no doubt be laughed at if he ever made it back home, because the thick white male with the sour expression had gotten lost. So very, very lost.

Managing to navigate himself out of him very dense brush, his nose was assaulted by the thick mixture of smells. Mostly scent markers by many lions and lionesses, but not without the odd other feline smells. It took him a few minutes to shake it off before he proceeded to pull the sticks and leaves from his shaggy fur.

Covered in mud and slightly wet, the lost male decided to stick close to the edge of the woods. If his nose was right, and with the strength of those smells it certainly was, he was very close to a pride. The last thing he needed was to be made into tree fodder.

Misae was having a good day. The sun was shining, Zsaria was in a good mood, and the food from the night before hadn't spoiled. That meant that for once, she had a day off. Well, unless another from the pride decided she could be useful for something, then she'd have to go back to duty. But for the most part Zsaria was the only one that interacted with her. She knew it was probably because they found it hard to communicate with her, being deaf, but she couldn't help but wonder whether any of them liked her. Or did they even know she existed? It was something she had never really brought up with other thralls, how invisible she felt.

At present though that was not her main concern. With the cubs all grown she had little to entertain herself with, and had taken up drawing as a hobby. Zsaria didn't seem to mind as long as the pigments she used were sweet, that lesson she'd learned when the rabbit's blood sun began to stink, and so she was off to the woods to forage for something purple. It should have been simple, given the brightness of the color, but she hadn't ever stopped to consider how few berries entered into the pride's daily diet. She wasn't even sure where to start looking.

Something was wrong. Her fur stood on end as she started from her thoughts, catching a hint of the offending scent on the wind. A lion, maybe? But also dirt. Lots of dirt. Confusing.

Not having heard Misae, Babbini stepped out several feet from the edge of the forest to investigate the surrounding area, or to at least try and find something quick to eat. If there were so many lions in one location, than there was no doubt enough food for them all. This meant he stood a chance of a decent meal for once in the last few days. He could feel his stomach growl as he walked.

Rounding a small patch of brush that's when Babbini saw Misae at alert. He in turn raised his hackles and gave off a loud growl. He may be lost, but he certainly wasn't incapable of defending himself and he would make sure this female knew. Women in many situations could be as dangerous, if not more than, males.

"Who're you?" He demanded, his face going back to its generally grumpy expression as it had been since he managed to get lost.

While she couldn't hear him she considered herself a bit of an expert on body language and the moment he put his hackles up she took a step back, her face contorting into a mixture of confusion and frustration. She hadn't even done anything, why did others always react so violently to her approach?

Well, he certainly wasn't from the pride, that much she could tell. No Stormborn would allow themselves to get so filthy, unless perhaps he was a thrall. But no, she would definitely recognize him if that were the case. Uh oh. He was talking. She had gotten better at reading lips the more time she spent with Zsaria and her cubs, but she hadn't been paying attention.

Figuring it couldn't hurt she offered a peculiar overdone smile, her head tilted to the side and one ear flopped down against her head. This always made the angry faces go off the cubs faces, perhaps it would work on him too.

As Babbini waited for a response, the lioness's expression changed. Her hackles lowered and she gave him a very cheerful looking smile and tilted her head to the side. Babbini didn't understand why she had done this when she had just been on alert moments ago and he had just demanded her name defensively. Was she of simple mind? It was possible. The reaction would make sense if she was of simple mind.

"Why do you smile?" Babbini asked, tilting his head as well, though a mixture of confusion and his usual grumpiness on his face. He sighed, though the confusion remained. He looked her over carefully and tried to wipe the terrible look off his face and continued, "Do you know where I am, woman?"

"I am lost and can't find my way home. My name is Babbini," He said, sitting himself down as his legs were tired from scaling the depths of the forest.

Habibi. His mouth had made a strange shape, but it seemed to her that that was his name. Making an odd face she settled back and sat down, mouthing the noise herself. It came out a bit squeaky, "Bahibi!" She was a little brought of herself, tapping one ear with a paw to try and get the message across. Home though, she knew that word well enough. With a smile she moved her paw and pointed up toward the cliffs, where she knew her own den was. "Home, Myrsky," she told him, the words slightly warped but sensible enough. She had been improving since the cubs had been around. They gave her a sort of gauge to what sounded right and what did not. If it was wrong, they'd shake their heads. Still, her vocabulary was limited.

Babbini watched as the female before him mouthed out his name to herself. This one was so strange, and he wasn't sure she would be able to help him n the way he sought. When she finally squeaked out his name, it wasn't even comparable to what he had said and he raised an eyebrow with a disapproving look on his face.

"No, no," Babbini said, going to correct her when he noticed her motioning to her ear with her paw.

Why on earth would she do that? He thought to himself, pausing through his sentence as she pointed to cliffs nearby calling them home and describing them as the 'Myrsky'. Was she talking about her home?

"I mean my home," He said, slightly frustrated. He came back to when Misae pawed at her ear, wondering what that meant. He might as well ask. Motioning to his own ear, he looked to her and pointed to hers and simply asked "Why?"

At this point he was more confused than anything, but clearly she was not understanding him the way he thought she was and getting upset over it was not helping. He sighed, the annoyance leaving his face.

Maybe if he was calm, and a little more pleasant (as she had been making herself seem) they may communicate better with one another.

She pawed her ear once more, this time forcing out the word Zsaria had taught her to explain her condition. "Quiet, all quiet," the words were drawn out and lower than they should have been, but she hoped he would get the message. Things were always so much easier when she had a translator, but there didn't seem to be one in sight and even if there had been she wasn't sure he wanted the attention of the entire viking pride. "My home," she repeated, gesturing to the cliffs. Then she shrugged and pointed toward the roguelands, "You home, not here. What is?"
