The Jungle Herd started off as a family between Requiem and Xochiquetzal. Xochi, as she is otherwise called, was the sole protector of the jungles for a long time before she and her mate settled into creating a family. Xochi has protected the jungle and its inhabitants for as long as anyone, even herself, can remember. She has kept her family close by, tasking them all with also becoming protectors of the jungle.

As her children have grown, and her life has moved on, she has come to realize that outsiders are not a bad thing, and that she doesnt have to be the only one protecting her sacred jungles. With the help of Requiem, and her children, she is reaching out to not simply protect the jungle, but make it a sanctuary for those that are willing to help her maintain what she considers a growing civilization.

- This acts as both an IT/Plot thread and a herd thread, as I do not have time to keep up more than this.
- Outsiders that are not from the Req!Xochi line are allowed, but will likely have to prove themselves.
- Evil Soq are flat out not allowed. Dark, brooding and Soqs with baggage and issues are welcome.
- The Jungle Herd is very 'amazonian' in beliefs and structure. Please keep that in mind when interacting.

The Jungle Herd is led by Xochiquetzal and her heir, Itzpapalotl. The founding family has a deep, unbreakable bond, and a strong sense of protecting their home. The females in the herd are strong and fierce guardians, the males tend to mostly take care of other tasks such as gathering food, story telling, keeping care of the little ones and the 'nests'.

Outsiders are welcome, even moreso after Itzpa's mate had established a healing spring in the heart of the jungle.

Evil Soquili and outsiders are quickly banished and are not tolerated on any level. The herd is proud and strong, however, they are not beneath putting a permanent end to someone they consider a threat.

.Guardians.
Those who patrol the borders of the jungle, keep its inhabitants safe, and are the front line protectors.



.Caretakers.
Those who take care of the young, elderly and wounded that are recovering.



.Loremasters.
Those that keep the stories of the jungle and the herd close. They often are found passing on their knowledge to others or telling stories by the campfire at night.



.Healers.
We heal any and all that come to the jungle or live in it.



.Avian Trainers.
We rely on our avian friends to be our eyes, our ears and our companions.

The herd's area of influence does stretch a vast amount of land, and as the Angeni of Jungles, Xochi is deeply in touch and rooted here. Also, keep in mind that there is a smaller herd of The Healing Spring within The Jungle.

The borders are watched vigilantly by the guardians of the herd, and likewise watched by all of the jungles inhabitants. It would be extremely rare for one to slip past the watch of the herd unnoticed, and equally as rare for most to leave the jungle, however there are some exceptions.

The Healing Spring - This is a psuedo-herd formed by Liquid Bismuth that resides in the heart of the jungle. It is a group of healers from all over that come to heal the wounded at the springs deep within the jungle.

.Joining Points.

- All breeds/genders are accepted, again, except for evil Soquili.

- The herd does not accept 'members' we accept others willing to take an active roll to help the growth of our civilization.

- You ARE allowed to wander from the jungle, however most dont as it is rather large to start with. If you do, that is fine, as long as when 'the chips are down', you are where the herd can rely on you.

- There are no rules on mates/companionship, any and all are welcome.

- We accept conflict! All you need is the desire to protect the jungle and its inhabitants, that doesnt mean you need to get along with everyone in it. Maybe you dont like the way someone heals, or gathers, or protects. The only request is that you still treat Xochi/Req/Itzpa with respect and as your general leaders. Please no trying to overthrow or challenge the hierarchy.

- You can join even if your Soq is mean and dark, they just cant be down right evil and a killer.
