In a small hotel in the City Miami Lena sits on the Balcony connected to her hotel room. she looks down staring at all the people walking by on the road below her. After a few moment pass and she stands up and walks over to lay on her bed,
"oh when is room service going to get here" Lena moaned in hunger. Her stomach growled painfully as the moments went by. Lena looked at the clock and saw she ordered over an hour ago.
"What could be taking so long?" she wondered, Lena got up and walked towards the door, as soon as she opened it the waiter was there with her tray of food.
finally! I'm starving. she moaned taking the try of food off the waiters hands. Lena tipped the waiter and soon walked towards the table, she placed her food down and took out the knife and fork from the folded napkin. she took the lid off to find a full lobster with the small hammer and a lot of side salad.

/// The girl had been - strange, to say the least. Poppi knew she couldn't say too much that could get her fired. Respect the customers. Take their s**t. Apologise when faced with an accusation. Earn the money.
But, she didn't seem altogether bad, just impatient and maybe a bit hungry, which was understandable. To be fair, the staff should be the most impatient, much more so than any of the rich people staying here. The food she had brought along had made her mouth water, and without looking, Poppi could already taste the faint hints of lobster on her tongue. Reaching for the cover... just one bite.
Then she'd snapped back to reality, realising just how stupid she'd been. One bite of that, and her family would starve.
How had life gotten so hard, anyways? ...

Lena stared for a moment and looked around the room alone. without realizing she walked back to the door and called for the waitress, although she was hungry she didn't want to eat alone with this large looking lobster.
Hey are you still there?!Lena called, looking down both ways of the hall. although there was no immediate reply she waited for a brief moment before going into her room.

/// Could it be Poppi she was referring to? No, it couldn't. It must have been someone else - anyone else. But there it was again, the insistent voice.
The strange girl was calling again - and already, the beginnings of feelings of dread were beginning to creep up her spine. It seemed that Poppi would never be spared, for even a day where something didn't go wrong.
But then again, it was probably her fault. Lowering her eyes, she hurried back through the maze of plush carpeted corridor, bracing herself and keeping an apologetic edge in her tone.
"I'm sorry, miss. How may I help you?" ...

Lena looks for a name tag on the waitresses top, while looking she noticed the girl seemed to be nervous . Lena pats gently on the girls head and asks
"are you ok? What's your name?" Lena asks kindly.

/// Tension for yet another moment, before the pressure of her hand against Poppi's hair broke it. She flinched back from the movement, surprised and confused by it. It had been more uncomfortable than comforting, as if she were treating her like a friend, and not any other hotel worker. Quickly, Poppi's eyes scanned the room for anything that was out of order - none, as far as she could see.
Poppi's voice was tight and controlled when she spoke, wary of the other girl's enthusiasm. She knew that a friendship could never reult - the boss simply didn't approve of such casual interactions between those he worked for and those that worked under him.
"My name is Poppi, miss. Is there anything I can do?" ...

Lena to notice of the Poppi's and moved her hand away from her head.
"Poppi... that's a beautiful name." she replied is soft words.
"can you help me finish this lobster, I feel that the Mean is a bit to large for my stomach." Lena holds out her hand as a gesture of welcome. she was concerned for Poppi as she did look a bit on the skinny side, during this time of day knowing what bosses are like hopefully she would appreciate a small lunch with Lena.

» The light streamed threw the clear glass of the hotel window, making an array of patterns threw out the large room. Cookie groaned and threw a pillow at the window. "Why is night so quick?"she moaned with yawn. The little girls hair was frizzy, her eyes tierd as she balled her hands up into fists and rubbed them. She looked around the room for a parent, though not seeing any she shrugged and got changed for the day. Her cute black dress with her porrcupine backpack, topped of with her headphones and bunny slippers. She giggled as she put fake tattos on her arm. A crimsion liquid caught her bright blue eyes, and she bent down to inspect it. Splatters of blood covered her pure white bunny slippers. The little girl screamed at the top of her lungs in hopes that her parent/s would hear.» » »

/// The reply to her forced question was almost laughable, though Poppi felt for a flicker of a moment the genuine sincerity emanating from this girl. What she couldn't understand that her little act of kindness could bring on a whole wave of troubles for the both of them, but most of all, the quiet, relatively peaceful lifestyle Poppi had worked so hard to make.
A bite of that lobster. Five minutes, maybe ten, at most. Then it would all come tumbling down on her. Job. Money. Family. Life.
Nodding her thanks at the girl, Poppi lowered her head slightly and re-closed the room door, hoping their brief, friendly meeting would end at that. Returned to the spot where she'd hurriedly left the food cart. Tried to forget the kindness she'd been shown.
But as the thoughts cleared, something else had to happen, her peace shattered again. Leaving the cart again, Poppi ran in the direction of the piercing scream, hoping that nothing too serious had happened. ...
