Have no hyenas? Want one? Well, here's your chance! Depawsit and myself recently received three hyenas from the Rogue Breeding thread, and the last hyena needs a home!
This contest is meant to give him one, but there are some rules to keep in mind:
1.) You MUST be a hyena newbie to enter! This means you have no hyenas at all. You can have any other kind of SoA, and as long as you don't have any hyenas, you're still good to go.
2.) Be open to plotting with me and Depawsit! This hyena comes with two sisters, a mother, and a father in his background. It doesn't have to be heavy plotting, or anything, just bear in mind that he would have grown up with his sisters and his mother at least.
3.) This contest will be open for ONE WEEK, until 7 p.m. May 14th. This is plenty of time for a little contest like this and no late entries will be counted!
4.) No begging, whining, or impatience please! This is finals week for both Depawsit and myself, so immediate responses to any questions aren't a guarantee.

The Family The Mother: (owned by Redbud-Tree) - Kishaufu is a sweet-natured and slightly naive female. She's fairly gentle but tends to be a bit oblivious to things that aren't pointed out to her. Overall not the greatest mother, but she does care about those close to her - she's just not observant enough to keep them out of trouble! The Father (owned by Depawsit) - Bet is a creature of habit, everything has to go exactly as it always has. He's not one to ever think outside of the box, and likes everything to be done 'just so.' He's stuck in his ways and is likely to never change. Under his tough exterior is a strict but loving Father. Sister #1 (owned by Depawsit) - Subira is a Hyena with good intentions but poor execution. She can be a real sweetheart so long as you don't question her sense of judgement. But once you cross the line, you'll know it. She's a quick witted hyena who can come up with numerous solutions on the spot - but they aren't guaranteed to work! Sister #2 - Hazina is the youngest sibling and as cheerful as her mother, though with a playful and slightly rough streak. She can be sweet, but can just as easily play with her prey with a smile on her face. She has a fondness for shiny objects and isn't the most careful about how she obtains them.

Hyena's Name: Kicheko
Name meaning: Swahili - laughter
Personality: Kicheko loves to pull pranks on his sisters and gets into general mischief. His pranks are generally in good fun, unless someone has wronged him in some way. Then they take a mean spirited turn. Despite being a jokester, he has a strong bond with his family and would do anything for them. He tries to follow in his father's paw prints as the only other male in the family, but falls a bit short most of the time.
Plot Ideas (optional): Maybe some adventures with good ol' Dad, trying to make him proud and falling just a bit short. Teasing his sisters would always be fun as well.

Personality: Rion is different. He's bipolar and energetic. Try to chase him down, you'll never catch up to him. With being the only brother in the family, he's determined to take care of his family and tries to stay close to his father to learn the ways of the "hunt".

Personality: Strong and thick headed, Enyeto loves solving problems through brute force. He's always ready to join in a plan and his sisters are there to apply his services. He's not quite sure what's going on all the time, but at least he knows there's fun to be had if he sticks with his sisters.

Name meaning: Dark Blue
Personality: He is a mysterious hyena. Some say he has a blue grin in the black darkness of night which makes you uneasy, that he is scary when he laughs because his colors make him look evil, or that if he acts sweet from his blue colors he will attack you. But those aren't true. He is a loving, gentle hyena who can't take anything seriously and always cracks a joke now and then. He is like a clown to others, having fun and everything.

Hyena's Name: Born: CorOro Nickname: Nickel
Name meaning: Born: Heart of Gold Nickname: Gambler
Personality: This guy is really a Mama's boy at heart, and will always try to protect her from disruption in her happy world and the stern father's way of life. Which means adopting the 'just so' mentality (to an extent) and very much means protecting his sisters in all ventures and adopting some of their mannorisms at times. They are a tight knit family afterall. (I'm sure he'd evolve a bit with RP with the plots below. )
Plot Ideas (optional):
+ Hunting lessons: The three siblings test each others limits by crossing lines, as only siblings can with fun until it turns momentarily sour. No tellings what'll happen in the heat of the moment. But, one of them would probably end up starting laughing, then the rest would follow and that'll be the end of that. They would all bring back their own boar with more respect for each other with the knowledge the siblings (and themselves) wouldn't take any crap from any creature. Dad would be proud, hopefully.
+ Waterhole Mischief: Hazina tries to steal something from a lion and ropes Subira in, but CorOro finds out about it and tries to talk them out of it. Knowing his weakness, they bet him that he wouldn't have the guts to go with them. He has to protect them before anything else.. Would have to see what happens. All in good fun, of course.
+ Interference: Nickel has to cover up something aweful one of his sisters did by explaining it to Mom an Dad in a round-about-way.. It was for their own good, and it breaks his heart and honor with every single word. CorOro would actually shed a tear at some point. Knight in shining honor complex (hyena addition), crutching to his knee.
+ WINNING: Nickel does something great, and has an amazing win under his belt. He wins a big bet for the first real time. Maybe meets someone special in the process?

Name meaning: Will
Personality: Mapenzi is as stubborn as a mule and the sort that likes to argue. He was aptly named at an early age for his unwillingness to back down in a dispute, even if he'd been proven wrong. He's usually of the helpful sort, though if it conflicts with his own wants and desires, he might have second thoughts. He'd not do anything to endanger the ones he loves, particularly his much beloved mother and sisters. He has a weakness for females and sees them as stronger, much as female hyenas truly are, and he's been known to swoon over a lovely lady now and again. He is loyal to blood, though, and never strays too terribly far.
Plot Ideas (optional):
+ Mapenzi would most definitely throw himself into a fight with any creature, should it threaten his sisters. Maybe a spar with another hyena or a lion?
+ A lovely lady might try and lure him away from home and he might give in to some extent. Might be fun if his family knocks sone sense into him. c:
+ Blood is thicker than water, might be interesting if the family has a dispute with another. He might try and help settle it, but he'd fend his family to the death, if need be.

Hyena's Name: Chike
Name meaning: "Gods Power'
Personality: He is a sneaky little thing, sneaking about when he shouldn't be and causing chaos wherever he goes. He likes it, enjoying how it angers others when he ruins something or knocks it over. However, he isn't cruel and will feel bad if he harms someone by accident. He's simply a little prankster.
He is actually very smart. Chike lives his life as a game, however he can stop and think for a second. Actually, he often does. Before every prank he thinks, wonders how it can go wrong and how he can harm another by doing so. So, when something does go wrong it can drive him insane, fretting over where his careful planning went wrong.
He loves his family, though can't sit still long enough near them. However, he takes the role of being the brother seriously, beating anyone who harms his sisters. He also is fierce of who can court them, arriving from nowhere to challenge them to either a test of wits or a literal brawl if he really hates the other.
Plot Ideas (optional): Some small plots. I want to make huge plots only if I win him, so I don't get too attached!
- He meets someone just as smart as him, but doesn't like pranking. Actually, they are pretty much not into his entire existence. What does he do? Tries to prove he's better then them by trying to constantly trick them into traps! I want this person to become his rival~
- His sister brings home someone he's never met, or hasn't really gotten to know. Commence the awkward moment where the other one has to deal with Chike's awful torments and random challenges to a duel.
- Chike finds someone he is interested in. However, there is one issue! Chike really can't go around tormenting this person, because seriously, who would mate someone like that? So, he tries to awkwardly be "normal". In the end, I want his mate to accept him for the little prankster he is.

Your Name: Vistada
Hyena's Name: Jahan
Name meaning: "World"
Personality: Seeing the world is what Jahan could dream of, however.. Seeing it wouldn't be an option. Beneath the bright blue eyes of Jahan bears a blindness. As in, he can't see, or what he does see is mainly shadows in the sunlight. In the dark, nothing.
He was born this way, and though he is not 100% blind, he can't see others for who they are. It doesn't stop Jahan's dreams to travel, mind you. As far as he travels he will always come home to his family. Always to bring stories, a deep love for the young hyena.
His blindness is almost 'not there' when he's around his family. He relies mostly on his nose, his ears and sometimes his paws to feel the shift in the ground below him. It may hurt his hunting potential but he knows how to track, and keep up the hunting for himself when he is out and about alone.
He himself is gentle, and only seeks out good intentions like his family usually does. In the future I can see him having a strict-father-type as well deep inside. Especially if his chosen mate does give birth to another blind little one.
Plot Ideas (optional): I don't want heavy plots for now :> But do expect plotting for the family if I do win.
- Teaching the Blind how to Hunt with Eyes:: Maybe Subira and Jahan decide to hunt for the family, even with Hazina's help. But what the sisters forget is.. Jahan can not see that well. And they go out to hunt at dusk. Leaving Jahan unable to see the shadows. Directing him wrong, but Jahan will have purposely let his sister direct him into a tree or some sorts of that. But in the end they do have a good hunt, after they notice their brother's issue. (Since he barely ever seems to be blind..)
- Meeting someone new :: I would love him to go through this a couple of times. But having only a few note that he's blind. But in the end finding the special person biggrin .
