The box has been opened...

And a force of unequal power has been released on the planet...

Will you save this dying realm, or perish beneath the flames of the Seven Plagues?

Welcome to Jeod, the smallest planet in the Daeron galaxy and the only planet known to mimic Earth's atmosphere. Here, nearly every human myth that ever existed comes alive, but with a deadly twist: they think. Minotaurs no longer fall to hero's blades, gods refuse to bless the children whose names once flourished in Earth's history, and, worst of all, plagues become animate.
Centuries ago, at the start of the planet's life, Pandora's box touched down on Jeod's surface and - according to legend - was opened by the curious maiden herself. Thousand of curses, plagues, and illnesses poured out of the box and formed the Seven Plagues: Disease, Greed, Rage, Laziness, Hunger, Deceit, and Death. Empowered by the planet's strange aura, the Plagues grew stronger and formed human bodies - vessels to better weild their power. And thus, the Seven have scorned the planet with their wrath to this day...

Until you showed up.

You and your five team mates have arrived to aid the dying planet and found the survivors trapped by one Plague or another. It is up to you to use your abilities and slay the Plagues and force them back into the box before they destroy Jeod. But, should you fall behind, you will succumb to the reign of the Plagues and be lost forever.

Will you join us?

However, his anger makes him unstable and - more often than not - he gets himself in over his head. He is prone to blackout periods, during which he cannot remember, much less control, what his body does.

Personality: Withdrawn and hard to read, but more than willing to share his knowledge with those who approach him. He is easily angered and holds grudges far longer than the average person, but he also forgives with minimal effort on your part.

Bio: Margo lived in a small colony of humans on Jeod. She had always been strange- even when she was younger. Most of her counterparts left her alone, but she did have a few friends. Growing up wasn't that hard; she just had to hide her powers from those who didn't know or didn't approve. When the plagues began, the colony went into hiding. They survived for a few years, but eventually things got harder and people began to go crazy. Her so called friends had at one point tried to sacrafice her to the plagues in hopes of saving themselves. Before they could, Margo escaped and ran away soon after that.

Personality: Straightforward and blunt, Alice will not hesitate to tell you how she feels, no matter how offensive it may be. She is pessimistic and slightly cynical, but tries her hardest to be a social person and get along with everybody. Daughter of the Dark One

(Seeing as no one else has replied with their profiles yet, let's go ahead and get this roleplay started shall we? If everyone is agreeable, we'll have everyone start off with meeting up at the Hall of Mirrors - a sacred holding beneath the church in Raune, the city just north of where Greed is said to live. This way, everyone can get introductions and whatnot in and not clog up the plot stare )

Felien Donavyer

Felien's footsteps echoed softly through the tunnels as he wound his way through the earthen corridors, his whip tapping against his hip with each stride. His gray eyes were void of emotion as they swept along the gritty walls, searching for the mark of the entrance to the Hall of Mirrors. Impatience was evident in every inch of his coiled muscles as the symbol continued to evade him, but years of wandering the catacombs beneath the crumbling city lent him a fierce determination.

At last his roaming fingers found the mark, dipping into the centuries old groove to activate the pressure plate and reveal the entrance. A subtle rubbling shook the passage as the door slid back into a winding staircase, lit with the pale blue light of the lanterns. Felien slipped into the crevice and began his ascent, letting his sure feet guide him as his mind wandered to the task at hand.

From what he could tell from the hurried message the courier had brought him, a lone alchemist in Droech - located far beyond the Boren Sea that lapped at the edges of their current city - had recently come across a deserter to the Plagues' entourage. According to the demon, the mythes that the Plagues had crafted about their immortality were far from true; they were just as capable of death as anyone else. The message went on to explain that each Plague had a weakness - a blind spot, if you will - that, if exploited, could draw the essence of the curse out of the vesseal. The Plague could then be forced back into the box, should action be taken in a timely manner. Fortunately for Felien, he happened to know just the man to see about that box.

A burst of stale air met Felien's face as the staircase opened into a cavernous hall whose walls were paneled with gleaming crystal panes: the Hall of Mirrors. The elf wrinkled his nose as the dry air clung stubornly to him and ran a finger across the barbed length off his whip absentmindedly. Now all that was left to do was wait for the others to arrive...

Raven had found where he was supposed to go first, but was in a rush to get in. He had just escaped some bounty hunters but had gotten wounded badly, he had a large cut across the side of his waist. He had searched the walls quickly but found the old groove that he was told to push and walked in as the door closed behind him.

Raven had hidden in many places before, but none so delicately hidden, but he was hoping there might be people to help him. He looked at the hallway he was in and couldn't see anything but looked down at where he knew the wound was and could feel it bleeding intensely.

Finnaly after some time he had come across the Hall of Mirrors, he looked around to see if anyone was here yet. He saw a strange elf that held some sort of barbed whip and he took a deffensive stance, hoping that he wasn't just another bounty hunter.

Felien's head cocked slightly as he heard the muffled rumbling in the tunnel that hinted the approach of another team member. The sharp scent of blood mingled with sweat and muted fear met his nose as the figure stumbled in through the stairwell. The elf turned, hand pressed instictively against the supple leather of his whip, to see a boy no more the fourteen crouched at the mouth of the stairs. He was a Shade - that much was abundantly clear. Few other races could take a wound like that and still manage to make their way through the labyrinth to the Hall. Felien abandoned his whip for the moment and approached the boy, probing the wound with his mind and reciting the facts aloud to himself in a soft murmur merely out of habit.

"Flesh wound, at least two inches deep. No poison detected and risk of infection is minimal. No major artery or organ damage, though blood loss is at a critical level..."

Without any hesitation or explaination, Felien lifted the boy's shirt out of the way and placed his hand on the wound - scowling as the boy did the natural thing and tried to escape. A pale yellow light washed across the wound where Felien had touched it and immediately the flesh started to knit itself back together. Within seconds, the wound was nothing but an angry pink scar that wound its way across the Shade's side and Felien stepped back to admire his handiwork. The elf produced a rag from somewhere in his belt and began wiping the blood off of his hand as he examined the boy before him.

"I apologize if I acted out of line, but that was a nasty gash. Another minute or two and you'd have been beyond repair. Tell me, how is it that a fourteen-year-old Shade wound up in the Hall of Mirrors with a wound like that?" He paused for a moment, then extended his clean hand in an attempt to mimic the human custom of shaking hands. "I'm Felien, by the way. Felien Donavyer."

Raven laughed a bit as the man asked who he was, but still shook his hand. "My name is Raven Bellmont, and I'm suprised you didn't see these." He said as he pulled out one of his wanted posters he had tore down to try and keep fom getting hurt. "And I got that wound from nearly being cut down by money hungry friends." He said a bit mad at them.

He looked around the place since he could see a bit clearer now, and could tell no one else was in here at the moment but was still a bit unsure. He looked back at Felien with a curious look. "You're not going to try and take me in now, right." He asked hoping the answer would be no.

Felien scoffed and wrinkled his nose in distaste. The notion of betrayal for something as easily obtained as money was lost to him, but bounty hunters were something he understood well. After all, he had been one once - though his pay had been something far more precious than currency.

"I have no use for the bounty on your head, Raven - sizable as it may be. You though, you I have use for."

He beckoned the Shade over to an ancient wooden table where a large map of the planet had been spread out and anchored to the table with jeweled daggers. Swirling across the familiar shapes of the countries of Jeod in the scripted language of the elves were clues - lines from legends about the origin of the Plagues and their weaknesses. Felien pointed to a city not far from their current position and read the line scribbled next to it.

"In my people's tongue, this means 'where Greed lays, Brutus surely follows.' It refers to an old legend pertaining to the Earth's tale of Julius Caesar. Brutus was his closest friend, who betrayed him and stabbed him for the sake of Roman power. To my understanding, this message hints at Greed's weakness - though I'm not sure how it helps us."

Raven

Raven felt relieved at his answer as he walked to the table. He examined the map and the writing then laughed. "It might mean that his weakness is inside his little government." He thought back to the days with him and his partner, but then remembered he was being hunted down by him.

"But that's just a guess, besides behind every armored foe there is a cowering man." He said. "It's either that or there's someone inside that want's to betray him."

Maxie ~Dog~

Tori walk around in the halls with her dg Maxie by her side. She was looking around to where she was supposed to go. Thats when Maxie took off. Maxie ran down the hallway to a door and entered it.

Tori ran after her dog down the other hallway yelling. "Maxie here boy!" That is when her dog stopped in the middle of the hall. Tori tripped over the dog and rolled into the Hall of Mirrors. Thats when she saw a elf and another guy.

"Umm..hello? Sorry." She said as she slowly got up. Now her dog Maxie joined her by her side. Maxie looked at the one guy there and started to growl at him.

"Maxie boy sit! Stop that right now!" She said to her dog while holding it by its collar trying to not get it go. Which she would anyways.

Felien nodded his agreement with Raven's conclusion and tapped the handle of his whip thoughtfully. The only problem now was how to get inside the city without succumbing to the effects of Greed. Not even the best team could defeat a Plague while under the influence of their curse, so this step was crucial. Perhaps the box held the key...

Felien paused in his thoughts as a girl and her dog came floundering in through the stairwell. The girl was young by his reckoning - about seventeen human years - but seemed older in the way she held herself and the power she put behind her words. On some level, Felien was impressed that such a she could keep her head above water in such a fierce business, but mainly he was suspicious. The girl smelled subtly of blood and limestone, a scent his race had long associated with vampires, and something about her didn't seem quite right. Nevertheless, Felien strove to put aside his misgivings and approach the girl, despite the snarling beast at her side.

"You must be another team member. Welcome, to the Hall of Mirrors. I am Felien, and this is Raven." He stood aside and gestured to where Raven stood surveying the map, urging her to join them as he hurried through the introduction. "And you are?"

Margo had been running for days and right about now her legs felt like jello. Her pursuers had stopped chasing her a while back, but she knew that if she stopped they might find her. So she kept running and running until she was in a series of corridors and had to stop. She dropped to her knees and exhaled fiercly. Her limbs felt like they were on fire and her legs had a scarlet tint to them. She glance up and realized that she had gotten herself lost and she wondered if she would ever find her way out.

She stood, walking quite slowly down the hallway until she came across a room. She looked around and noticed a bookcase that had wedged itself aside and revealed a set of stairs. She sighed and painfully made her way down the stairs. When she reached the end, she noticed a gleaming mirror on the wall and then as she peaked around, she saw even more. It was then that she heard people conversing and then that she cursed her curiosity. She knew she was chosen for something, but that didn't mean she'd accpted her fate. She walked in and noticed a man of an elvish race, another guy that looked a little young, and a woman with a red 'x' on her face. However, she said nothing; she wanted them to notice her first.

Felien pauses in his introduction of the vampire girl as their fourth team member ascends the stairs slowly, as though every step sent jolts of electricity through her soles. Concerned, he approaches the girl and reaches out with his mind to probe for injuries - only to discover the girl's vast presence blocking his efforts. It was as though a dome had been constructed around the girl's entire being, perfectly crafted with no hold for his powers. What was even more remarkable was that the girl was plainly and simply human. Not an ounce of magic existed in her blood, yet there she stood with the most powerful shield Felien had ever encountered surrounding her mind. His concern turns to curiousity, and he pushes the probe harder as he extends his hand in greeting.

"Welcome to the Hall of Mirrors. My name is Felien, and you are...?"

(Sorry for the short posts - my brain is beyond dead at the moment.)

Margo stood looking at Felien's outstretched hand. She knew she should shake it, but something wasn't right. Is he doing this? She instinctively made the force field she kept around her stronger and then took the man's hand.

"Hello. I'm Margo." she replied.
