The box has been opened...
And a force of unequal power has been released on the planet...
Will you save this dying realm, or perish beneath the flames of the Seven Plagues?

Welcome to Jeod, the smallest planet in the Daeron galaxy and the only planet known to mimic Earth's atmosphere. Here, nearly every human myth that ever existed comes alive, but with a deadly twist: they think. Minotaurs no longer fall to hero's blades, gods refuse to bless the children whose names once flourished in Earth's history, and, worst of all, plagues become animate. Centuries ago, at the start of the planet's life, Pandora's box touched down on Jeod's surface and - according to legend - was opened by the curious maiden herself. Thousand of curses, plagues, and illnesses poured out of the box and formed the Seven Plagues: Disease, Greed, Rage, Laziness, Hunger, Deceit, and Death. Empowered by the planet's strange aura, the Plagues grew stronger and formed human bodies - vessels to better weild their power. And thus, the Seven have scorned the planet with their wrath to this day...
Until you showed up.
You and your five team mates have arrived to aid the dying planet and found the survivors trapped by one Plague or another. It is up to you to use your abilities and slay the Plagues and force them back into the box before they destroy Jeod. But, should you fall behind, you will succumb to the reign of the Plagues and be lost forever.
Will you join us?

Growing up wasn't that hard; she just had to hide her powers from those who didn't know or didn't approve. When the plagues began, the colony went into hiding. They survived for a few years, but eventually things got harder and people began to go crazy. Her so called friends had at one point tried to sacrafice her to the plagues in hopes of saving themselves. Before they could, Margo escaped and ran away soon after that.

Personality: Straightforward and blunt, Alice will not hesitate to tell you how she feels, no matter how offensive it may be. She is pessimistic and slightly cynical, but tries her hardest to be a social person and get along with everybody. Alice is, however, overly ambitious, and if she believes she can gain power by doing something, she will not hesitate, no matter how harmful it may be.

(Seeing as no one else has replied with their profiles yet, let's go ahead and get this roleplay started shall we? If everyone is agreeable, we'll have everyone start off with meeting up at the Hall of Mirrors - a sacred holding beneath the church in Raune, the city just north of where Greed is said to live. This way, everyone can get introductions and whatnot in and not clog up the plot stare )

Felien's footsteps echoed softly through the tunnels as he wound his way through the earthen corridors, his whip tapping against his hip with each stride. His gray eyes were void of emotion as they swept along the gritty walls, searching for the mark of the entrance to the Hall of Mirrors. Impatience was evident in every inch of his coiled muscles as the symbol continued to evade him, but years of wandering the catacombs beneath the crumbling city lent him a fierce determination.
At last his roaming fingers found the mark, dipping into the centuries old groove to activate the pressure plate and reveal the entrance. A subtle rubbling shook the passage as the door slid back into a winding staircase, lit with the pale blue light of the lanterns. Felien slipped into the crevice and began his ascent, letting his sure feet guide him as his mind wandered to the task at hand.
From what he could tell from the hurried message the courier had brought him, a lone alchemist in Droech - located far beyond the Boren Sea that lapped at the edges of their current city - had recently come across a deserter to the Plagues' entourage. According to the demon, the mythes that the Plagues had crafted about their immortality were far from true; they were just as capable of death as anyone else. The message went on to explain that each Plague had a weakness - a blind spot, if you will - that, if exploited, could draw the essence of the curse out of the vesseal. The Plague could then be forced back into the box, should action be taken in a timely manner. Fortunately for Felien, he happened to know just the man to see about that box.
A burst of stale air met Felien's face as the staircase opened into a cavernous hall whose walls were paneled with gleaming crystal panes: the Hall of Mirrors. The elf wrinkled his nose as the dry air clung stubornly to him and ran a finger across the barbed length off his whip absentmindedly. Now all that was left to do was wait for the others to arrive...

Felien's head cocked slightly as he heard the muffled rumbling in the tunnel that hinted the approach of another team member. The sharp scent of blood mingled with sweat and muted fear met his nose as the figure stumbled in through the stairwell. The elf turned, hand pressed instictively against the supple leather of his whip, to see a boy no more the fourteen crouched at the mouth of the stairs. He was a Shade - that much was abundantly clear. Few other races could take a wound like that and still manage to make their way through the labyrinth to the Hall. Felien abandoned his whip for the moment and approached the boy, probing the wound with his mind and reciting the facts aloud to himself in a soft murmur merely out of habit.
"Flesh wound, at least two inches deep. No poison detected and risk of infection is minimal. No major artery or organ damage, though blood loss is at a critical level..."
Without any hesitation or explaination, Felien lifted the boy's shirt out of the way and placed his hand on the wound - scowling as the boy did the natural thing and tried to escape. A pale yellow light washed across the wound where Felien had touched it and immediately the flesh started to knit itself back together. Within seconds, the wound was nothing but an angry pink scar that wound its way across the Shade's side and Felien stepped back to admire his handiwork. The elf produced a rag from somewhere in his belt and began wiping the blood off of his hand as he examined the boy before him.
"I apologize if I acted out of line, but that was a nasty gash. Another minute or two and you'd have been beyond repair. Tell me, how is it that a fourteen-year-old Shade wound up in the Hall of Mirrors with a wound like that?" He paused for a moment, then extended his clean hand in an attempt to mimic the human custom of shaking hands. "I'm Felien, by the way. Felien Donavyer."

Felien nodded his agreement with Raven's conclusion and tapped the handle of his whip thoughtfully. The only problem now was how to get inside the city without succumbing to the effects of Greed. Not even the best team could defeat a Plague while under the influence of their curse, so this step was crucial. Perhaps the box held the key...
Felien paused in his thoughts as a girl and her dog came floundering in through the stairwell. The girl was young by his reckoning - about seventeen human years - but seemed older in the way she held herself and the power she put behind her words. On some level, Felien was impressed that such a she could keep her head above water in such a fierce business, but mainly he was suspicious. The girl smelled subtly of blood and limestone, a scent his race had long associated with vampires, and something about her didn't seem quite right. Nevertheless, Felien strove to put aside his misgivings and approach the girl, despite the snarling beast at her side.
"You must be another team member. Welcome, to the Hall of Mirrors. I am Felien, and this is Raven." He stood aside and gestured to where Raven stood surveying the map, urging her to join them as he hurried through the introduction. "And you are?"
