Welcome one and all to 'Royal Lotus, Imperial Trade' the one and only place to find the best of imported and exported goods. If it's on your mind we probably have it or we could order it. The shop's interior is very Chinese oriented, some of the numerous items on the shelves looks expensive and a bit odd as the goods come from other nations. The shop is always open during the day so feel free to browse around and if you need help you can always ask the shop's owner Shaz Vertici for assistance.
Also the upstairs doubles as the home for both Shaz vertici and Zaho Shan.

Shaz Vertici Zaho Shan Zaho scrambled in the down stairs kitchen, which was in the back of the store, he darted left to right as he tried to prepare a feast. A furry of curse words escaped him as he tried to prepare a perfect meal. One minute zaho was placing something into an oven and the next minute he was using a whisk on a creamy concoction. "Dam, dam , dam, I need more sea slug." He announced as he threw a pan of what looked to be a turkey pig into the oven. Suddenly a slender man with a refined look entered the kitchen. The man stared at Zaho without mentioning a word. At the time Zaho was so caught up with his cooking; that he did not even notice the man. "Well I must admit, this must be a special lady for you to go threw all of this trouble." "Oh man wait til you meet her Shaz, she pretty classy and hot too." Zaho shivered a bit, he could not help but remember that she was a fire bender with a short fuse. Shaz placed his right elbow into the palm of his left hand and his fingers, from his right hand, below his lips. Which was a posture that Shaz often took. The room's lighting caused his glasses to shine menacingly. He stared at Zaho and spoke in a rather unpleasant tone. "All this effort, yet you can pay off your debt?" The constant reminder of Zaho's outrageous debt caused Zaho to shiver once more. "Hey, buddy come on we are pals right, there is no need to bring up such things when my guest arrive right,... right Shaz?" Shaz remained in his posture with out mentioning a word. His eyes darted to the table, where Zaho was preparing his meal, he saw various exotic dishes prepared. "I see see you also helped yourself to some of the store's goods." The look Zaho received from Shaz was sharper than any dagger. Zaho held a dumbfound look on his face, "Yeah about that, I have to have a good first impression correct? how about you just add it to my tab and we can call it even." To Zaho's surprise Shaz had already retried a small notebook from his breast pocket. It looked as if Shaz was leaving himself a reminder of Zaho's expensives. "Look Zaho, I wont get in your way while your lady friend is around. After all I never seen you so worked up, but just try to keep the cost down ok." shaz soon left the kitchen without waiting for a response from Zaho.

кαzυяα ƒιяєвєη∂єя All the yuans in the world could not have made any woman appear as lovely as Kazura did this night; she looked visually stunning. That’s not implying that you didn’t need yuans to look as good as she did, because you most definitely did. She had gone to a well known hairdresser in Republic City, in her personal opinion he was the best in the modern world. Her hair had been parted, the part favoring the left side, and swept back into an elegant up-do; it was held in place by a red lacquer comb. Just the comb was upwards of 120 yuans, you could only imagine what the hairdresser charged. Kazura kept her makeup at a minimal, only a small amount of lipstick and eyeliner; after all less is more. All of this was tied together with her form fitting qipao and crimson silk slippers. It hugged her body all the way down to her ankles; instead of her wearing the qipao, it was wearing her. The top of the dress was very flattering; it was a bolero style with a short standing collar. The chest of the qipao was cut out into a wide diamond shape so the tops of her bosoms were slightly visible. Pure hand woven blood red silk with a golden dragon flying up her hip, it paw resting on the right side of her chest. Her beautiful body, however, was hidden by a heavy coat. Daddy insisted she be covered from neck to toe.
Kazura followed the outline of the park until she saw a red roof, she could only assume that was Zaho’s estate since he gave no more proof of residence or address. Regardless of how she presented herself, she was nervous for this date. She did like this buffoon and wasn’t too eager to sit down with him one on one, a magnitude of things would go awry; arguments, bending battle, Eve clawing Kazura’s flawless face, anything was possible. Sucking up whatever courage she could muster, she slowly approached the house. Upon closer inspection of the home, she found it not to be a home at all but instead a shop. “Royal Lotus, Imperial Trade,” she murmured to herself; most definitely not Zaho’s place. “That jerk gave me the wrong address! No matter, I’ll find him and give him a piece of my fist.” With a mindset to destroy everything in her path to find her man and a scowl on her face, she entered the store with low expectations despite the fancy name. Much to her surprise, the store was clean for being in a lower district. Granted it was not up to her standard of elegance but it did have a homey charm to it. Kazura’s scowl faded as she began to look around the store; out of everything in the world that could soothe and distract this savage beast, one of them was shopping. The cork soles of her slippers clicked against the floor as she scanned the shelves. Zaho was just going to have to wait.

Shaz Vertici As Kazura entered the shop a tiny bell chimed overhead. Within an instant Shaz made his way to the front of the store, where Kazura awaited. He soon stood beside the counter, but he remained quite. He knew it was to late for a customer, so he determined that this girl was Zaho's date. He looked over Kazura, even though her body was covered he easily spotted out that her shoes were well crafted and very expensive. Though he showed no signs of it; Shaz was captivated by her face alone. She was quite fetching, in his opinion, he could not help but wounder how Zaho managed to pick her up. Shaz walked lightly towards the women, his footsteps ever so silent. He did not wish to sneak up on the woman but he was very light footed. He soon stood a few inches behind the woman. He examined a piece that she was looking at. "Fifteen century ming dynasty, my father had to fend of against twenty water bending pirates to get his hands on that piece. Or so I have been told, yet I feel the truth has been wildly exaggerated. However the piece is authentic that I can assure you. I am sorry I have failed to introduce myself, I am Shaz Vertici, owner of the Royal Lotus." Shaz placed one hand behind his back and lightly bowed out of respect. When he arose he made sure that his eyes remained on the woman's eyes as he did not want to offend her. "I take it you are Zaho's date for the evening? May I take your coat." He held a tranquil expression upon his face, he was not trying to make a superb first impression. But being a young business; molded Shaz into a man that most people found charming and respectful.

кαzυяα ƒιяєвєη∂єя The shop was stunning, never in her life had she seen a more diverse selection of antique worldly goods. Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Water Tribe, even Air Nomad relics could be found in the shop. The selection was so great, Kazura would be surprised if she couldn’t find an object from every era in history; clearly the owner of this establishment was a wise collector. As she walked on to examine more items, her attention was grabbed by this fascinating vase. It looked to be from the Earth Kingdom but she couldn’t be sure, all she knew was that it exceeded her standards for elegance and poise. Kazura was so absorbed into the vase that she did not hear the shop owner creeping up behind her.
As the young collector spoke, she covered her mouth to subdue a small squeak. Kazura turned around slowly to face the culprit who had frightened her so badly. The man, who had introduced himself as Shaz Vertici and owner of the shop. He was an elegant and polite young man with glasses that only added to his allure. When their eyes locked, she immediately felt a warmness for him; he held such wisdom and kindness behind his eyes.
Kazura was taken back when he mentioned Zaho’s name; so this was his current residence. Shaz was so polite and poised that it was hard to imagine how he and Zaho became friends. “You frightened me,” she breathed. Kazura unclasped her coat and folded it over her arms before bending the upper part of her body in a bow, still keeping her posture straight. “My name is Kazura. I was afraid I had misunderstood Zaho’s directions. All he could muster up was the house across the park with the red roof; which hardly narrowed it down for me.” She rose from her courteous bow and locked eyes with the shop keeper before handing over her coat. “Thank you, Mr. Vertici. Might I add that your shop is absolutely breath taking. I would gain great pleasure if I could stop by during business hours to purchase one of your fine pieces.”

Shaz Vertici Shaz took the young woman's coat and made his way to the closet. He opened the door and placed her coat upon a hanger. He gently set the coat into the closet making sure not damage or wrinkle the file material. Shaz was accustom to fine items everyday it it was easy for if to see that the woman's coat was of the highest quality. His head may have been in the closet but he still addressed the young woman. " My apologies I did not mean to frighten you miss and Shaz is fine there is no need to be so formal with me.Mr.Vertici is my father, as for me im just a man trying to run an honest business." he said followed with a pleasing smile. Shaz shut the closet door and made his way to the counter, he leaned his back along the counter. " I am no fool madam, I can tell you have a fine eye for rare and high quality goods. Also you are more than welcomed to stop on bye. It would be a delight to talk with someone, who could appreciate the quality, origin, and the rarity of my pieces." He spoke with passion, which showed his dedication to his trade. Shaz knew he heard Zaho mention the woman's name once before. However he also heard him mention other women names. He decided it was best not assume her name was Kazura, he wanted to avoid any future conflict if possible. " I assume your nose alerted you to the wondrous aroma coming from our kitchen. Well that would be Zaho, he is trying his best to impress you. I am sure he will be joining you shortly. Would you care for a hot beverage while you wait?" Shaz marveled at the woman's attire but did not stare like a monkey. He adjusted his glasses, which caused his glasses to shine in the light. His mind began to process this woman's background and personality, but he could still not figure out why she would be bothered with Zaho. Although a thousand thoughts filled his head, he held back seeing how no matter what he said would come off as negative against Zaho.

кαzυяα ƒιяєвєη∂єя Kazura watched Shaz as he took her fine fur coat and hung it inside of a dim lit closet. While the young man’s back was turned to her, she tried to peer into the closet to make sure that he was handling her property with the up-most care. That one article of clothing had cost her more than the lightning benders working at the factory make in a month. If he would have damaged it, she just might have killed him; it would be a shame to scare that baby face of his. Much to her contentment, his hands were as gentle as the calm seas as he placed her belonging in the closet.
The young firebender smirked as the young shop owner apologized to her and requested that she called him Shaz. How polite he was, but as a lady of noble birth she wasn’t about to call him by his first name; she knew how to act around people of the higher distrcits. She had called Zaho by his first name and not Mr. Shan because he was a common street rat and deserved no special treatment, but Shaz was entirely different. A man with a successful antique store and a knowledge of fine collectables. Kazura may have looked down upon hoodlums like Zaho but she respected Shaz because of his intelligence. Plus the little detail that he was treating her like a princess never hurt. For now she would treat him as her equal. “Please, I insist that I call you Mr. Vertici. Where I was raised it is a sign of disrespect to address a man otherwise.” Kazura had her eyes locked on Shaz as he wandered over in front of the counter; she stepped a few paces closer to him so that they could still converse and not shout across the store. There was no need to alert Zaho that she had arrived just yet.
With the young man‘s back leaned up against the front desk, he encouraged her returning to buy a piece. Without a doubt in her mind she would be back. With a genuine look of admiration on her face she said, “I can tell that you are very passionate about your business; so dedicated and committed. If I may be so bold and say that I admire that in a man.” Kazura walked over to the same counter Shaz was leaned upon, and rested her own hip upon the edge before crossing her arms below her chest. “I’ve actually had my mind set on buying a few early Fire Nation pieces but I am concerned about the authenticity. It would be an honor if a man of your talents could get a hold of them for me. Perhaps I will stop by one day next week during your business hours to discuss the-” Her sentence was cut short by the rustling sound of pots and pans from behind a closed door. She raised an inquisitive eyebrow when Mr. Vertici alerted her that the ‘wondrous aroma’ coming from the kitchen was Zaho trying his best to impress her. The smell was a far cry from wondrous. Kazura had to admit that the boy had moxie, but it was going to take a lot more than a poorly executed meal to impress her. She pinched her nose close as she spoke through her mouth. “Ugh, I hope that isn’t sea slug I smell; I’m terribly allergic to it. I knew I should have sucked it up and took him to Kuang‘s.”
Fanning the smell away from her face, she began to notice that Shaz was admiring her qipao. A faint smirk spread across her face as he tried to mask his quick peek by adjusting his specks. “You wouldn’t believe how much I paid for this. It’s a shame that I had to cover it with the silly coat, but Papa insisted I be covered to not draw attention to myself.” Kazura motioned her hands to accent her bust all the way down her torso and jokingly complained, “Why wear this flattering dress if I can’t show it off in public!” She chuckled faintly. “I sincerely apologize if come off too fierce.” The more she looked at Shaz’s reserved self, the more she wondered about how Zaho and Shaz came to be roommates. He could very well be wondering the same thing about her; how had Zaho managed to slip his way into a noblewoman’s life. The more she thought, the more perplexed she became. “I believe I’ll pass on the beverage, but perhaps you can enlighten me. How did you end up meeting Zaho? You two are so different, like night and day, it’s difficult for me to grasp the basis of your friendship.”

Shaz Vertici Shaz was not particular fond of being called Mr. Vertici, as it made him feel old, but he did not wish to argue with the women. He decided to just accept the title that the women deemed. He did not anticipate the woman to stand along side him. He felt a bit uncomfortable, after all he built a distance for a reason, but he did a splendid job at hiding his true emotions, as he was a custom of doing. Once Kazura complimented on Shaz's passion toward his trade; he turned to face her. Due to her being shorter than him he was forced to look earthwards. Shaz was taken by surprise as his gaze shifted towards the women. Shaz may have been looking down towards the women, however her womanly assets made their presence known. He quickly turned his head away as a slight cherry red filled his cheeks. "Ah.." He coughed and regained his composure. "Well thank you, I take my job seriously." His head still avoided the woman's embrace but he did not wish to be rude. He stared at the ceiling and addressed the young fire bender. "The quality of his cooking may be below your standards, but it is better than the usual slop that he would prepare. Along with the shop's upkeep I manage the cooking between the three of us. It may also be in your best interest to avoid his cooking as I know that he used sea slug." Shaz was forced to look at the young women, once she mentioned early Fire Nation pieces. " Early Fire Nation pieces?" He once again took in usual poster by placing his right elbow into his left palm. He mumbled a few words under his breath as if he was having a conversation with himself. "Yes,I believe that I might be able to acquire a few pieces. Unfortunately acquiring such pieces may take much longer than I would hope for. But I can bet my life that their authenticity will be true." Without realizing he was coming off a bit more serious than he would have liked. Kazura's mention of her qipao made Shaz avert his eyes once again. His face was painted red once more. Her movements, gestures, and slight giggles did not help matters. "Well your father sounds like a wise man. Their is an old saying less is more. It is hard for the common man to view your true beauty when your assets are ... so gen-ero-us." He took a slight breath and returned to his regular composure. It was as if his persona changed, he was once again able to look the women in the eye without any problem. "Then again the common man is to taken up in their pursuit of lust to appropriate natural beauty." his glasses gleamed as he spoke. He did not seem to be surprised when Kazura asked about Zaho. It was a long story but Shaz did not directly answer her question for some reason. "Zaho has a natural charm that attracts people towards him." His tone was different from before. And he answer came off very sharp as if he was not going to add any more detail to the matter. "If you will excuse me." Shaz excused himself and walked into the kitchen. Shaz had felt uncomfortable around the woman. She seemed to be a nice person and she was well mannered but Shaz wanted to grow some distance between him and herself. As a shop keep Shaz comes in contact with people everyday but he always has a bit of an uneasy feeling around others, which he does well at hiding. Sure her assets made him feel a bit embarrassed but that was not the source of his nervousness. What truly made Shaz so uneasy was the fact that he could sense that the women was a skilled and powerful bender.

кαzυяα ƒιяєвєη∂єя It was almost flattering the way that the shop keeper was blushing so furiously. ‘What a cute little powder pink color you turn,’ she cooed inside her mind. ‘I bet I can make you change a shade darker.’ After all, why shouldn’t he? Kazura was the most beautiful, lovely, intelligent, cunning creature in the entire world, or at least in her own mind she was, and every man should be bowing down to her will. The very thought of someone finding her charms resistible was just too far fetched for her taste. She pushed the thoughts from her mind and continued to try and converse with Shaz, even thought it was becoming more and more difficult; he didn’t seem to be the chatting type.
The fire bender let out a groan is disgust as Shaz confirmed her worst fears… Zaho had been preparing sea slug. It was by far the most vile and putrid food of all the nations. And to make matters worse Zaho was not the most competent of chefs and most likely had no idea how to properly prepare any of the dishes in his dinner line up. She did appreciate what he was doing for her even if he was destroying a perfectly good meal. “I suppose if it comes down to it we can go out for dinner.” ‘But at this hour it would be murder to get a seat, even for someone like me.’ Kazura thought the last part of her sentence, she wouldn’t dare admit to Shaz that she might encounter difficulties getting a seat at a high class establishment during rush-hour. Her father could get in with no issue but seeing as she was still a child, it would be slightly difficult.
“I trust your word.” she affirmed, a sudden smile coming to her face. “No one would imagine you would let your hard earned reputation be tarnished from questionable authenticity. I’ll stop in sometime this week so we can discuss more on what I want.”
She frowned bitterly as Shaz left her side to go into the kitchen. How was she supposed to entertain herself alone in the front room? Apparently he was not used to having company. Kazura huffed as she folded her arms over her chest. If Zaho did not make his presence known soon she would become antsy; and no one would like it if she became antsy. "Please relay this message to Zaho! I will not tolerate being left in the main store front unentertained while he frets around in the kitchen!" Her voice had a twinge of anger to it as she shouted after Shaz.
((So sorry it sucks, I just wasn't feeling roleplaying tonight. Sososososo sorry.))

Zaho Shan Shaz had ignored Kazura's final words as he made his way into the kitchen. He immediately pressed his back against the wall of the kitchen, once he was out of Kazura's sight. He was sweating frantically as if he was ill. Shaz undid the row of buttons, of his collared shirt, around his neck. He took deep breaths as he wheezed and tried to catch his breath. Zaho appeared shock to see the condition Shaz was in. He looked at him with a face full of concern. "Hey, what wrong? are you alright Shaz?" Without Zaho noticing the liquids in his cooking pots began to boil at an alarming rate. Many of his pots rattled and overflowed, yet there was no fire on the stove to cause such an event. Aside from the pots overflowing the air within the kitchen became very humid. "s**t!" Zaho mumbled as he quickly ran to Shaz's side. He placed a firm grip of Shaz's slender shoulders. With a tight hold of his friend Zaho shook Shaz. " Hey, snap out of it. Shaz, Shaz." An expression of guilt formed on Zaho's face. It looked as if he was going to regret the next step of action he was going to take. Suddenly Shaz appeared to have calmed down. His breathing returned to normal and he stopped sweating . Once Shaz calmed down the liquids in the pots settled and the humidity in the room returned to normal as well. "Shaz wha..." Zaho was cut off before he could finish speaking. "Im sorry I was not prepared for...." He remained silent and stared off in the direction of the room were Kazura had awaited. Shaz adjusted his glasses and placed two of his fingers near his mouth and whistled. Shaz's whistle may have been faint for human ears but it was loud enough for a certain peacock- hawk. Instantly the peacock-hawk, known as Eve reacted. While displaying a great deal of her true speed the mighty avian like creature raced downstairs. Eve gracefully maneuvered herself, once she was downstairs, making sure to avoid any and all of Shaz's rare pieces. The sudden appearance and speed that Eve moved at might have startled Kazura. Eve circled the room once, before it flew into a small flap built into the kitchen door, which resembled a doggie door. However, before Eve exited the front room she made sure to make a rather close turn near Kazura's face. Even flew very close to the young fire bending beauty, maybe it was a mocking gesture on Eve's part. Eve immediately landed on Shaz's shoulder when she entered the kitchen. A satisfying hum escaped her beak. A slim smile grew along the side of Shaz's face. He gently stroked his hand on the hawks head. Shaz fixed his collar as he made his way towards back door of the kitchen. " Were going on a walk." "Shaz, hold up." A stern look appeared on his face as he crossed his arms. "I know what your going to ask Zaho, lets just say that a big fish entered this small pond." Without any other words being exchanged Shaz walked out of the shop from the back door. Zaho sighed as Shaz left the shop. "So Kazura's that strong?" Zaho's serious expression soon vanished as he grabbed a bucket. The bucket was full of ice and an expensive looking bottle of champagne. He quickly grabbed two champagne glasses with free hand. He took a deep breath and then walked out of the kitchen. Zaho saw a pouting Kazura with a prude look on her face and her hand folded along her chest. The smug expression he usually had soon reappeared as if nothing happened in the kitchen. "You know a breathtaking woman like yourself should not be pouting. You look much prettier when you smile." Zaho's charming words flowed out of his mouth. He took a moment to fully take in the woman's beauty. A light brush of red was hinted across his cheeks. Zaho truly seemed happy to see Kazura's face. " I am glad that you came, I really wanted to see you again." Zaho walked towards Kazura, placing the champagne and the glasses down on a near by table. Once Zaho reached Kazura, he lightly grasped her chin and smiled. He stared into her eyes. Zaho noticed every little change that Kazura had made from her hair, clothing, and even down to her make up but now was not the time to point out her changes. For the time being Zaho wanted to focus his attention solely on Kazura. " You are so beautiful." He said in a deep voice as he leaned in for a kiss.
