This was the first day that Galning had returned to patrolling the borders of the Stormborn since he asked to be removed from the roster some time ago. He had set himself what had seemed to be an incredibly high goal, and yet he had met it with startling rapidity. So today's rotation on patrol was a test for him, to see if he had truly improved any, or if those sparring matches he'd fought had been mere good fortune.He had not had 'n** in weeks. He had trained hard. If life were fair, this would either be an uneventful patrol or he would be challenged and come away victorious. In Galning's experience, life was rarely fair. Still, he was cautiously optimistic about the whole thing.
