Come on... Try to win us!
Ending time: July 2nd, 18.00 GMT+1 General info- If you're not familiar with Kitwana’antara, the disease pride, I strongly recommend that you read up a bit on them before entering! - These cubs will either be diseased or carriers - you decide. This means they cannot leave the pride to go rogue or change prides later. - Depending on how sick you make your character he/she could still make trips to the roguelands or even rogue breed! Border interactions are possible, and carriers are allowed out as long as they have an immune pride member with them. - Remember that to those in the pride the disease is a blessing. Sure, it kind of sucks being sick, but it's also a sign that the pride's main Goddess (Pestilence) really, really likes you! - These kids are seers since their mother is a goddess. You decide how strong the gift is! It can range from having a vision once in a lifetime to almost every day, and it might be something as simple as getting a hunch that something is going to happen to prophetic dreams or daytime hallucinations. - Ririka coloured the litter.

Rules - These cubs will stay in the K'A until they die. They may only leave if the pride disbands. - You can enter for both, but you can only win one. - Spell and grammar check your entry before posting it, please. - Anyone can enter, I don't care how many SoA you have before. - Play nice! If you don't know how to do that, please find out before entering wink - Don't toss in any other disabilities, please. The plague should be plenty. - And last but not least: Have fun!
Friendly tips - Veri tends to give her kids blood related names. You don't need to follow this, but it'd amuse me if you did. - Keep it simple! Super special and awesome characters/ranks/traits might harm your chances if you toss them in just for some extra awesomeness. I'm not fond of twinked characters or Mary Sues. In other words: unless you manage to balance the character and find the drawbacks of that awesome trait you're better off trying something else. - I will be less likely to pick a character that hates the disease and is all emo about never being able to leave. If you want to use that angle - make it good.

Family and other important charactersVeri, the Goddess of Blood is their mother, but she will not be around terribly much, and they will probably be closer to other members of the pride. (see adoptive father below)
Godlum is their biological father, but they will likely never meet him. It was a no strings attached fling.
Mith'ando - Adoptive father in the pride. Mith is also a seer since his father was a god, so he knows what they might go through. He’s a perfect gentleman and close friend to Veri.
Geith - Half-sister from an earlier rogue breeding. Geith is a very weak seer, and she isn’t sure what to think about Gods and visions. She dislikes spiritual mumbo jumbo and is pretty much an atheist despite her heritage.
Hoeh - Half-sister from an earlier rogue breeding. Travels with Geith. Hoeh is a very strong seer, to the point that the random visions are interfering with her daily life. The pair of sisters were left with a group of rogues at an early age and doesn't remember much of their mother at all. One or two of the cubs in this litter will be dropped off with the two half-sisters for now but the rest are unlikely to see them again or even remember them.
- Brother, goes with them to K'A (Event here, for Firekin and K'A) - Sister, rogue (no home yet)
Ee'bo - Brother, will go to the K'A (Annchen)
Dreyri-Bein - Sister. Will go rogue. (Jovi of Shadows)
Their aunt and cousins can be found here:
Again, it's unlikely that they will ever meet these cousins or Uuni, Goddess of Blood Magic.

What you came forPick a prompt that appeals to you and fill in the form below. You may mention (or draw I suppose) other characters, but you may not play them unless you own them. And remember who you're here for - make sure the cub is in the spotlight!
You may try for both genders if you'd like to fill in two of these.Prompt 1 Your father can see dying people in visions, and he's told you that you're also a seer. The only problem is… You've never had a single vision as far as you know. What do you do? Do you try to induce a vision in some way or do you make one up too make your father happy? Prompt 2 Wow, that's the strangest thing you've ever seen. Tell me about it! Prompt 3 You know who your birthmother is from the stories your father Mith tells you, and she is sort of around sometimes when she visits the pride. She's pretty distant when she is around, however. How do you feel about the situation? Prompt 4 Art prompt smile A picture says more than a thousand words! This needs to be something you created yourself, it can be in any media and it should relate to the cub in some way. Prompt 5 Freestyle prompt – go nuts! It's in the blood Your name: Trying for: Girl/Boy Cub name: Meaning: (if applicable) Future rank in the K'A: Diseased or carrier: Short personality blurb: (a few key words to a couple of paragraphs) Future plot ideas: (just for fun, you don't have to fill this in) Why do you want a cub in the K'A? Prompt number and answer:

Science is fun! This is a goofy little contest for the remaining cub after I judge the above contest. All you need to do for a chance at the remaining one is to invent a scientific sounding name for the virus causing the K'A plague and fill in the form below.
Note: If I fall in love with two entries for the above contest this one might not be used.Last chance... Your name: Cub name: (either unisex or one girl and one boy name) Meaning: (if applicable) Future rank in the K'A: Diseased or carrier: Short personality blurb: (a few key words to a couple of paragraphs)

EntriesLethrossen p.1 (girl) TanuKyle p.2 (girl) Tilly_Milly_wolf p.2 (boy)
yes... I know this isn't updated sweatdrop Q/A sectionWhy can't I make the cub immune? Because immunity is extremely rare, and also because I want the kids to stay in the K'A.
I had a question about the art - would it be acceptable to turn them human? Sure! Feel free to be creative.
Do we need a joining RP for this? Yes, since Veri isn't in the pride you do. But I'm way ahead of you there... I will also post all certing info for you.

It's in the blood Your name: Lethrossen Trying for: Girl Cub name: Taluhtah Meaning: Native American Sioux name meaning "blood-red." Future rank in the K'A: apothecary (herbalist) Diseased or carrier: Diseased Short personality blurb: Taluhtah, as a cub, is very playful and imaginative. Most days she seems perfectly healthy, like the disease doesn't actually affect her that roughly, and she sees this as a blessing. She likes to spend time with the sickest members, talking to them and making up stories for them and keeping them in good spirits. Every so often she wakes up feeling the bulk of the disease's effects though; she'll remain tired, irritable & scared anywhere from a day or two to a few weeks. She can't help being afraid, even if their pride's deity is obviously blessing her, but she does try and stay calm and show a strong front to her adopted father & siblings.
As a cub she will be a little squeamish towards blood, though often tries to overcome this fear considering her mother. As she grows she will be better at hiding it but won't be able to shake the slightly sick feeling very time she sees a fresh kill or a hurt lion.
Her visions come in such a manner that for a long time she won't be able to differentiate her visions from real life. It is as though she walks through a day dream, and often sees and speaks to the lions (very rarely another species will appear) who show up as hallucinations. They never answer her back, though sometimes they say things that just fit the conversation. She doesn't quite realize this is coincidental yet. The lions that she sees are usually scared, about to experience something frightening. How often she experiences these visions varies, just like her sickness. Sometimes she will have multiple visions a day, which leave her slightly tired, and other times moons will pass before they appear to her again. She is only aware of having had a vision if others are around and give her funny looks (she'd usually appear to be speaking to herself) or ask her who it was she was speaking to, exactly.
Future plot ideas: She will become obsessed with the borders, with trying to meet the visitors, especially after she has a better handle on telling her visions from reality. She'll really want to meet someone from her visions, feel like it is her destiny. Kind of want to get her involved in some manner with a lion who's obsessed with blood, just for good times.
Why do you want a cub in the K'A? I thought it would be fun to be able to play a diseased character! I do own an adult healer who (admittedly) I don't get to play often enough but I am very fond of the pride. I like all of the possibilities of strong characters that can grow because the pride faces a disability like their disease.
Prompt number and answer:
prompt 1 Talu frowned as she was told the story by her father, head tilting. She'd heard the word only a select few times around the pride, seer. Whispered as though it was some sort of magical word, a special word. She was a seer? Well she didn't see anyone who was dying. Ever, not when she slept and not when she was awake. And certainly not in the pride! She was always herded away from those who'd finally succumbed to death's caress. He'd explained that not all seers saw exactly the same thing. In fact, it was fair to assume that no two seers ever saw the same thing. She's not quite sure how to take the news, was she broken? A flicker of movement caught her eye and she looked away from her father for a moment. There, just a bit away, was a lion just a little older than she was. He looked terrified, though Talu wasn't close enough to hear what he was saying. She knew what he was saying, of course. Knowing and hearing were different though. He was terrified because his mother was drowning. Her eyebrows drew down and she clamored to her paws. "It's okay, there's no water.." She breathed out the words almost silently, then looked back to her father. He'd just asked her something. But what? She glanced back to the frightened youth... but where had he gone? Her nose wrinkled, she shook her head and let the confusion disappear. She looked back to her father and bowed her head, feeling slightly ashamed. "I don't think I am." She countered finally, sad. It sounded like fun to be a seer, it sounded special. "I've never seen stuff like that, my sleep is always dreamless too." Her tail flicked and she looked up sheepishly. "Maybe I'm just not looking properly is all, right? Or maybe I have to do something special? Sorry papa..." Being upset over this wouldn't last long though, there were plenty of things she could do that she was good at, and that were fun. Visions sounded excellent, but she didn't mind not having them.
