My Story»» Being the only one that has memories of all his past lives as well as his zodiacs, Takami has gained much knowledge throughout the ages. He is capable of sensing when his zodiacs are near because of the bond they share. After hindsight, the jade emperor learned the best way of controlling his zodiacs is by allowing them a little freedom but with conditions they must uphold. In this lifetime, Takami was born all because a certain Sohma could not stay faithful to his wife. The unfaithful husband not wishing to ruin his reputation or taint the Sohma name denied the unborn child of being his and called the mistress all sorts of names to drive her off. Devastated, the mistress decided to have her child with the hopes that the love of her life would one day leave his wife for her. Despite the unfaithful husband’s claims of what the mistress said to be false, the Sohma elders still decided to keep their eye on the matter. If there was a chance the child was a Sohma, it could be a cursed member.

Reports of the child not transforming when the mother held it were confirmed once the child was born and DNA samples were secretly gathered as a precaution. Even though the child was not a zodiac, the god had yet to be reborn. While the investigation continued, the mistress naturally grew attach to her child. Oh how horrible it was for the god to be stuck inside such a useless and weak body. He detested being an infant the most and he hated being treated like a baby even though he was one. The god knew the Sohmas were doing an investigation to confirm he was indeed a Sohma but if they really had any brains they could have had one of his zodiac confirm he was indeed the true jade emperor. That is…unless any of his zodiacs had yet to be born. To make a long story short, their investigation took too long since he wasn’t the only child having been born that time.

There were plenty of women who had previously claimed their child was of Sohma blood though most of those turned out to be lies. The head of the family at that time was in no hurry to step down in power just to hand that sort of power to some infant. In reality, the head was so mad with power he secretly wanted the jade emperor out of the picture. Takami wasn’t stupid. He had nothing to do but mind read so of course he knew what was going on and that damn head of the family was trying to overthrow him as jade emperor. If he was discovered now, he wouldn’t be able to defend himself in this body..at least not yet anyways. He had no choice but to stay with his ‘mother’ for now. Feeling the bitterness of the love of her life breaking her heart, his mother turned into a loose woman. Yes she loved her child, but she loved men more.

Takami spent a majority of his infant months in strip club changing rooms. What he saw wasn’t anything new. All of this was only temporarily. Once he finally regained the ability to properly talk and walk, Takami practically took care of himself while his mother went out and about. He learned from talk his mother had moved to Tokyo so he was nowhere near the Sohma family. He knew how to get back but traveling back in this small body would surely grab a lot of attention. Each day without his zodiacs was agonizing; especially with the knowledge they were most likely being ‘controlled’ by someone other than him. That traitorous cat was probably trying to fool them again. Unfortunately, all of his zodiacs weren’t born yet. The more the jade emperor grew, the more his own powers awakened once again. He didn’t want to leave his zodiacs in the hands of some ‘false’ emperor for too long.

By the time he turned 3, one of his zodiacs bond grew strong enough to find him. Takami was speechless to find the 8 year old dragon pestering him to come with him. It was fortunate his mother had left him home alone to do one of her jobs. The last thing they needed was his mother finding out about the Sohma curse by accidently hugging the reckless dragon. Takami was overjoyed that one of his precious zodiacs came looking for him and it was difficult to part with Rei. He promised Rei he would return one day when the time was right. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned and Rei had no money to return. That and it did not settle well with the God to allow Rei to return by himself. Rei had no choice but to call his father.

When the father came to pick up his son, Takami saw his chance to reclaim what was rightfully his. Using blackmail to gain the upper hand, Takami got the father to agree to take Takami in as an illegitimate son. Conditions were made and Takami had returned to the town he was born in. His ‘mother’ allowed a Sohma to leave with her child because she no longer wished to have that type of responsibility. Growing up in the Sohma estate gave Takami the time to weed out those actual loyal to the head of the family. By the time he was 10, he was able to reclaim his spot as head of the family. It wasn’t that hard since he had plenty of blackmail against the head. Once the jade emperor had reclaimed his status, he had Rei erase the elder’s mind to prevent any future problems from bubbling up

My Type»»

My Story»» They were all crazy. It was his first thought upon meeting his extended family and was echoed innumerably when he forced to join the Sohma household. It all started years ago, when the head of the Sohma’s was just a man, Yamato. Since childhood, he had been inseparable with the Cat’s parents. So was it really any surprise that he felt such a great deal of foreboding once the he learned of their would-be child? There were…rumors. That, when held in their mother’s arms, the children of the Sohma would sometimes twist into strange and fantastic creatures – monstrous creatures. Worse yet, with their birth they would herald the coming of the True Sohma Head. An other-worldly being that could control the beasts and tug out your very soul. At first, Yamato chalked his fears up to mere superstition and he hoped it would pass with time. It lingered.

Delving deeper into the Sohma family tree, he recovered stories that seemed to support these rumors. Worse yet, they seemed to happen on a recurring schedule. If… IF those stories were true, those monster children would be appearing again. And soon. It became his obsession. Just a few months prior to Jesse’s birth, Yamato had developed a plan to smuggle the child to freedom. It was a simple matter of convincing Jesse’s parents – an all too easy task when they had seen how frenzied their friend had become. They moved as far from the Sohma household as they could without leaving Japan. It was… a difficult task. Imagine his parent’s surprise when their beautiful baby boy did change. Had Yamato been correct? What if the stories surrounding the Cat were also true? After that, they quickly bent to Yamato’s will, listening to the rest of his grand plan. Belief seemed to be at the center of the Jade Emperor’s power. Belief, or rather, the lack of Belief, would save their son.

It was not an easy task, convincing their eyes that what they saw was not a demon curse but a strange illness. But their love persisted. By the time Jesse was able to walk, he was utterly convinced that he simply had a strange affliction. It became easier with time to manage; especially as he learned to control his emotions. His life was…normal; or as normal as the life of a Sohma Zodiac could be. His parents were relieved, it seemed as though he had almost completely grown out of those “strange” attacks. Other than a strange avoidance of the fairer sex, Joshua had a fairly average life. He attended school, played sports, made friends and even joined a few after-school clubs. The highlight of his childhood came when his Uncle came to visit. He didn’t know much about Uncle Yamato, but he was very kind. He always told him stories of the Sohma household – how they were good people, but lost. He revealed to Joshua how their fears had come to rule the family.

To be honest, he didn’t believe his Uncle at first. How could anyway believe in that fairy tale junk? It was just a load of superstitions and junk. However, as Joshua neared the end of his high school career, the visits from Yamato abruptly stopped. At first, he simply thought his Uncle was busy – until a letter arrived. It short though not very clear; evidently Yamato had suffered a psychotic break and would no longer visit. Furthermore, due to the nature of Joshua’s “illness,” someone from the Sohma household would be along in a few days to collect him. Neither he nor his parents reacted… well. When the representative arrived, Joshua flat-out refused to accompany him back to the Sohma estate. Joshua ignored weeks of calls, letters and visits until finally they cornered him. Since he continued to reject the Sohma family, he would be barred from visiting Yamato. He was infuriated but it got his attention.

Reluctantly he agreed to a meeting, away from the Sohma estate. Takami Sohma. He wouldn’t forget that name, even if the so-called God was just a brat, albeit an intelligent one. Eventually they worked out a deal – Joshua would be “permitted” to remain removed from the Estate so long as he appeared when beckoned, and in return, he would be granted access to Yamato. Fifteen years later, Joshua has found himself at the Sohma estate. For some reason, he had been asked to leave his position – branch manager of a local clothing store. Evidently his “talents were required elsewhere,” which he soon discovered was with the Sohma’s. Utterly displeased, he searched for employment anywhere – any place that would take him. He resisted as long as possible, but then he was informed that someone had put a hold on his parent’s retirement fund. Unable to put them at risk, he finally returned to Takami, for now.

My Life____________
My Type»»

【Thoughtful】
My Story»» Gin thinks his parents love him. He's almost seventy percent sure that they do, but sometimes, he can't help but wonder if they're only faking. They don't seem to love each other, that's for sure. Yoshiko and Fuji have had a love/hate relationship since middle school, but it was during one of the love moments that they decided to get married. Their families approved and a date was set, but Yoshiko felt like she was making a mistake. All through the ceremony, she kept questioning her decision and, unbeknownst to her, Fuji did as well. They agreed on a divorce, but before they could get started, Yoshiko realized she was pregnant and they decided to stay together for the sake of their child. There was just one problem with that child. He was cursed. Treating the curse as some sort of genetic deficiency, both blamed one another and largely ignored their son. Instead of being cared for by his mother and father, Gin grew up being cared for by his maternal grandmother, Ume. The curse didn't seem to bother Ume at all, but she did warn Gin that he was different and he couldn't allow people outside the family to get to close to him because they would find out his secret.

Ume was the one constant in his life, the one person who always had a smile for him. In school, when the other children teased him for his hair, Ume was the one who comforted him. She encouraged him to make friends, saying it was all right to be friendly with other children as long as he didn't get too close. That was the most important thing. Everybody around him had to stay a certain distance away. Though Ume had good intentions, the constant reminder to maintain a distance made him socially distant outside the household. His teachers wrote that, while he was helpful and a good student, he never wanted to get close with the other children. Even when the teasing more or less stopped, he never wanted to join any games and ate his lunch isolated from everyone else. It wasn't that he was shy. He just didn't want to cause any grief for his grandmother. He often overheard his parents arguing about his "deficiency" and guessed that he might have done something in the past that made them hate the curse. As long as he was good and kept his distance, then his grandmother would always love him.

But Ume was old and in poor health. No one was surprised when her heart failed her. No one except Gin. As frail and as small as his grandmother had been, he had always seen her as a source of strength, someone who always knew what to do and did it without hesitating. A week after his tenth birthday, Gin came home to find his parents occupying his grandmother's space in the kitchen. When they told him that Ume had died, he screamed at them, calling them liars, and fled the house. He ran around, calling for his grandmother, until another family member found him and escorted him home. Yoshiko and Fuji put aside their differences to comfort their grief-stricken son. With no Ume, they assumed their parental roles and made sure he was properly taken care of. Though they largely stopped fighting and behaved as any other loving parents would, Gin just couldn't be comfortable around them. He wanted Ume, not Yoshiko and Fuji.

Part of the reason he was wary of his parents involved their constant arguments. Though they lessened considerably after Ume died, he could hear them late at night after they thought he was asleep. If he paused outside the door before leaving for school or when coming home, he could sometimes hear them. Hating the shouting, Gin started spending more and more times outdoors. Yoshiko, in particular, admonished him for spending so much time outside the house. She took him out and complained about his father, how she had made a mistake in marrying him, then quickly adding that the marriage was a mistake, not Gin. When Fuji got word of what Yoshiko had been doing, he started doing the same thing. Their intention had been to keep him close, but Gin couldn't bear to be too close to them. All they did was fight and say snarky things about each other. No matter how many times they told him not to, he kept staying outdoors until the sun set. Lately, finding new places to explore has become his new favorite hobby, but before returning home, he always goes to tend the grave of his beloved grandmother.

My Story»» Akari's father was married into the Sohma family, so naturally when he held his new born daughter, he was in for quite a shock. Thinking they were cursed, Akari's father shunned her, for fear of her bringing bad luck upon him and her mother. Akari's mother bared another child, a son, who was not cursed, and whom got all of Akari's father's attention. Tired of being ignored by her father, and her mother acting as if nothing was wrong, Akari talked to the head of the family, and was moved into another house close to him, on the Sohma estate, where she was to keep files on the member of the family cursed. Medical files, employment history, anything and everything so the head of the house always knew what was going on.

Aside from being the head of house's clerkical assitant, Akari works as a waitress in a little cafe in town, and models for nude figure drawing classes. Unable to figure out what she wanted to do with her education after finishing school at the main house, Akari is constantly picking up new projects to stimulate herself, which may influence her hyper-activeness and "playful" teasings, taunts and tricks she plays on the rest of the Sohmas. Though she tends to be more "inappropriate" with the older Sohmas, with the younger ones, she quite enjoys their carefree spirits and "can-do" attitudes. Mostly because she never grew out of it herself.

My I.D.____________

My Day»» _____ 28 Years old → November 11th
My Life____________
My Type»»
【Humble】
【Confident】
【Quick-tempered】
【Loyal】
My Story»» All Reiji knows of his existence, is that he has always had a father and not a mother and he didn't much care either way. Considering the woman's presence in his life, was never felt due to her having left him at a very young age. A time before memories of her could be formed. His father on the other hand, a man left to raise him alone. A hard and arduous task it would seem. Reiji couldn't have come to respect the man more, which made what came later, more tragic than it seemed. When Reiji was born, his mother was the same as all the rest when it came to the children of the zodiac. Choosing either to coddle their new special child or reject it....and in that moment when Reiji turned into his cursed form, she freaked out. A part of her mind cracking in response and ever since that moment, she just couldn't stand to look at him. He was nothing more than a freak. No longer a baby. So, when she was able, she left the boy with his father. A man who had brought her into this hell, a Sohma who knew about the family curse from the start. She didn't want anymore to do with it, so she opted out. Just because she could....but regardless of this, the boy known as Reiji, not knowing any better from his childhood, still grew into a man without the help of his mother.

Through Reiji's younger years. All he can remember are memories of travelling around a lot with his Father...although, quite unknown to him at the time, the man was actually looking for his wife. Her whereabouts were unknown....but still, the man wanted to convince her to come home. Not because he thought himself unable to raise Reiji alone, but because he still cared for her and wanted to spend his life with her. Every night was spent in a different place. The duo not stopping anywhere for too long before moving on...and during this strange time of growing up. Now at the age of five, when he was slowly beginning to understand the world. His father began telling him the tales of the zodiac for bedtime stories. They were tales that fascinated his young mind greatly....and he asked to hear about the dragon more often than most. Just because he knew he was one. A boy coming to accept his responsibilities at a very young age. Along with his part to play. Another being who possibly interested the young boy more than the dragon was the zodiac's Jade emperor himself. The head of the Sohma family, their God who was to be respected and admired at all costs or risk misfortune upon you....and upon asking about the man. He was told that there wasn't a "true" head of the family at this current moment in time....the current "replacement" Just a stand in....but Reiji needn't worry because if anyone was to know of their God's return, Reiji would. The dragon spirit deeply connected in the zodiac's past. A keeper of memories. Who had always been familiar with the God, since the very beginning.

A year passed by. His father and himself nearing the outskirts of Tokyo at the time. When Reiji got the strangest feeling in his gut. At first, he'd thought it nothing more than hunger pains....or perhaps cramp? Having not eaten at a very nice place the night before and still, being just a boy (at the age of six) he wasn't really sure of what anything meant or how to tell the difference between feelings...but it soon got to a point where he couldn't sleep because of it.....and when he did, he'd have peculiar dreams with monsters in them. So on the next night. He got out of bed still dressed in his pyjamas and grabbed a small bag of things. A bottle of juice and a small amount of money from his fathers wallet and after putting on his coat. He had left the hotel in which both him and his father had been staying, like a boy possessed. This feeling was like a beacon in the distance, a light that he was supposed to follow. So that is what he did...and after following this feeling in his gut for a good few hours, with morning arising on the horizon....he had become tired...and had started taking notice of the strange looks that he was getting from people he passed by. It wasn't long however, that he found himself suddenly standing outside someone's house. Everything became clear in the seconds that passed. The road ended here and whoever he was sent here to find...he would find them inside. Somehow he knew this.

He'd stared up at the building for a moment, catching his breath. The boy finding himself slightly confused as to what had just happened to him. Almost scared in his way. This place drawing him onto the streets alone and bringing him here through the darkness, which was now quite a long way from where his father was staying. How was he supposed to find his way back? Something told him that the feeling he'd experienced didn't work both ways and without it? He was lost. It was the idea of using someone's phone that had spurred the young Reiji forward. His father's voice coming into hearing as he recalled the man's advice. "If we ever get separated. I'm only a phone call away." He'd climbed the steps trying to remember his father's number...until finally he was knocking on the stranger's door. It was here that his current troubles came to an end....while others it seemed, were only just beginning. Who was stood behind the door when it opened you ask? No other than the zodiac, Jade emperor himself. Reiji didn't know what to do or what to say. Instead he just stood there, eyes wide and jaw slack in shock. He recognised him instantly. The boy's presence washing over him like some mighty wave.....and after finally manifesting enough courage to speak, he'd said: "You need to come with me. I've been looking for you....and the others need to know that you're here." Of course, he was talking to a three year old...but in truth, he treated the God as if he was much older than that (he felt older somehow, as if he'd understand) and so he'd tugged the boy's arm before being told that his journey was in vain. The three year old would return to them when he was ready.

It soon became apparent that Reiji didn't know his way back....and he explained to their God that he had come alone and used all of his money just getting here....and as if the boy could read his thoughts. He was soon pointed towards the phone, where he managed to get a hold of his father....and by this time the man was going spare with panic. After waking up to find that his son was missing. Long story short, after a lot of shouting and explaining.....and waiting. The man finally made it to the house to pick him up. Except it seemed that his newly-found friend had changed his mind about going with them. Asking to come along, before reverting to "other means" when Reiji's father refused him. It was a lesson that they both learned that day. "Never refuse the Jade Emperor" and from here? Takami joined the small family....and after first giving up the search for Reiji's mother. They all returned home to the Sohma estate, located in the southern reaches of Shikoku. Where Reiji's father held residence of a largish building, nestled on a small hill, surrounded by trees.

Things were okay for a time. The two kids simply growing alongside one another...but as time indeed, went on. It felt as though they were slowly growing apart. Reiji would get annoyed with Takami over the silliest things. Things only kids could squabble over. Except when they argued, it always felt like he was arguing with an adult. The God always with a smart come-back ready or giving out advice like a nobleman beyond his years. Yes. Reiji noticed a lot of changes about the boy. He wasn't normal. The way that he would visit the main house often...and the way that he somehow reclaimed his spot as head of the family before the age of ten. Considering he was the rightful head. Reiji had always put it down to that. If only he knew the whole story. One that contained a cruel darkness.....and blackmail.

Takami moved out of the dragon's refuge. Moving into the main house and leaving Reiji to his own devices. However, he was called to the estate often. Especially when not long after that, the God found out about Reiji's newly-claimed ability to erase a person's memories. It was during these small moments, that he met Shimori Sohma for the first time. The ram of the zodiac. It was something of an instant friendship and in her company he always felt the need to step in and protect her. Reiji acting as the white knight in shining armour. Their meeting consisted of a game of catch with a few of the other children at the estate. A dangerous notion when one thinks back, considering that there were mixed genders involved. He was always told never to play with the other kids by his father....but it had looked like so much fun. His young eyes couldn't resist.....but one wrong step and the curse could've been revealed there and then. Luckily it didn't turn out like that though. Although, who's to say that Reiji didn't bump into anyone? It had gotten to the stage where the game had become a little competitive and some of the boys were showing off, Reiji included....and he'd jumped for a ball that someone had thrown too high....and who was also trying to catch it? Shimori herself....and in mid-air the two seemed to collide into one another, being sent rather awkwardly down into the dirt.

They had rolled for a bit. Their minds literally spinning along with them before they'd finally come to a stop. Reiji had been the first to move away, almost out of reflex after finding himself on top of Shimori. Pinning her down.....more worried about poofing into his dragon form than anything else. He'd stood there for a bit, just waiting for the familiar sound. A silence passing in between them. He'd looked at his arms and legs....but nothing seemed to be happening. That's when he had looked to Shimori, who appeared to be doing the same. It took a while for everything to click. The pieces putting themselves together....and when they did. Reiji found himself giggling and unable to stop. Once he'd been able to calm himself. He'd then apologised to Shimori before introducing himself and offering her his hand, so that she could stand. "The names Rei. It's nice to meet ya. You're special right? Like me?" From here on out the two have been friends. A bond that has only grown over the years as the two grew themselves.

By the time Reiji was fifteen. His father had grown obsessed with finding his wife. It was something that the man had spent most of his spare time looking into....but a day came when a letter arrived for him. One explaining that his wife had been in an accident and died, nearly a year ago now. Reiji's father despaired at such news....and slowly slipped into the depths of madness. Blaming Reiji for everything. For her leaving him in the first place, for her dying in that accident and for himself having wasted his entire life searching for her. Reiji was beaten as often as these arguments would occur....and in the end? All that could've been done was to put the man out of his misery. Takami could see this too...and not wanting the dragon tortured in such a way, had given the order to take the man's memories from him. It was an action that Reiji couldn't refuse once the order was given....and so...he'd taken them. The good times and the bad. Leaving Reiji inevitably alone...and his father free of him. For a time afterwards...Reiji refused to live in his fathers home, on his own and had taken up residence in the main Sohma house.

Moving on from school to college. Reiji began his studies of becoming a doctor. A year or so later? He moved back into his father's home and made it his own....and at some point or another during this time, Shimori moved in with him. Her own troubles at home leading her to flee and seek refuge with the dragon.....where they comforted each over, over the people they had lost.......and to this day. The pair continue to look out for one another. Reiji now the Sohma family doctor.

My Story»» It wasn't discovered that she was one of the Zodiacs until her early childhood. Her mother was a Sohma, but had left for a few years. During which time, she had an affair with a married man. She got pregnant, and the man wanted nothing to do with her or his illegitimate child, choosing the family he already had over her. No where left to go, she returned to the Sohma, and married a fellow Sohma, claiming the baby to have been born prematurely, so that she could pass the child off as his. Her mother, fearing her daughter may bear the curse of the Zodiac, forbid her husband to hold her, much to his dismay.

Some years later, when she was five, her mother got pregnant again, and gave birth to a son months later. Still fearing the curse, she never left Ruriko alone with her baby brother, and, for a year, all was well. But as time went on, her mother got complacent, and momentarily forgot about the curse. She went to answer the door, leaving Ruriko and her brother alone in the playroom. And that's when things took a turn for the worse. She was playing with her brother, and he had just taken his first steps. Nearing her, he reached out for her as he began losing his balance, and clung onto her back. The contact caused her to transform. When her mother came back into the playroom, she was distraught to see her son on the back of a horrid horse demon. The two were separated immediately, her mother taking her son away to his room while she called the main estate, demanding they take the demon away.

After that, she grew up in the main house, where she was kept close by the head of the family, who demanded loyalty from her, threatening to ban her from the family home if she did not. Despite her bond to the Jade Emperor, she feigned loyalty to the current head. While he wasn't looking, she pledged her true allegiance to the Jade Emperor, believing him to be the true head of the Sohma family. For a few years, her life was simple, she did what she was told, and she got whatever she wanted. Finally, when she was eight, the Jade Emperor rose up and took his rightful place as head of the family. After that, her life was exactly what she wanted. She grew up a privileged life, always having money to satisfy her each and every whim.

When she graduated from high school, she went to the Tokyo Fuji University, majoring in business. She was allowed to go on the promise she return to the Sohma once she graduated. Four years later, she graduated, and held true to her promise and returned home. There, she was rewarded for her loyalty, and was given money by the Jade Emperor to start up her own business. Taking the opportunity, she opened her own hair salon, which has become successful in the past few months, and she has more money than she knows what to do with.

My I.D.____________
My Names»» 【Yuu】

My Life____________
My Type»»

【Easygoing】

My Story»» Life's real problems tend to blindside you on idle afternoons when you least expect them. Yuuki's was no different. Born with the Sohma curse, a fact that caught his parents unawares when - they knew of it, but hoped their child would be fine - Yuuki transformed into monkey demon in his mother's arms. His mother's distance from him kept him wondering throughout his childhood what he had done wrong. Watching his peers mothers hug them and play with was only salt on an open wound. He grew closer to his father though, and the two spent nearly all of their time together. The fact that he was the Monkey zodiac was a fact kept from him. They lived in a distant city, and his parents hoped their son would be kept away from the whole Zodiac dealings.

Yuuki was twelve years old when it happened first. He'd been to all boys’ schools before, so his 'problem' had never bothered him. Now, due to financial issues he found himself in a public school and very much head over heels for Ryuuko. They became close, quite close actually until she hugged him, in class on the morning of a new term. If his fellow classmates were scared – Ryuuko was crying – Yuuki was only devastated and very, very confused. The closer he moved them, the further they ran away, cowering. Until he saw his own reflection. Yuuki was horrified. Before the Sohma’s were notified, and the Dragon sent, a janitor had pushed the ‘monkey demon’ through the window. Though the fall did not kill him, it left Yuuki with a scar on his face. He lost trust in his parents, began to fear himself and was moved to the Sohma Main House. Though everyone forgot, Yuuki still remembers the look of horror on Ryuuko’s face.

These past events have left Yuuki highly unmotivated. He kept his distance from everyone in high school, resorting to conflict if anyone tried to get too close, especially girl. He would become that ‘thing’ again if that happened, and he didn’t want too. There was no point in aiming for anything either, he would screw it up anyways. The only thing that interested Yuuki was music, something he took up for himself. His condition has made him insecure, a fact he tries to cover with silly antics and pranks. He craves attention and friendship, even love but is afraid to show too much of it. Once high-school was done with, Yuuki gave up on education, his grades weren’t going to get him anywhere either. He doesn’t work, a fact frowned upon by the elders, but Yuuki doesn’t really care. All he’d rather do is eat, sleep and play guitar. Though, living with those like himself, his walls have started to crumble.

My Story»» Imagine the surprise of a seemingly normal couple when their newborn child transformed into something hideous in his mother’s arms. The alarm was instant, and the scars that it caused have never completely healed, even to this day. Shigeru owes his life to the Sohma elders and to his mother, who had been vaguely aware of the curse in their family. They discussed the matter calmly, albeit his father was somewhat more distressed, and eventually convinced the couple to keep the child. The elders trusted the gentle young woman and her trustworthy husband with the creature, identified as the pig zodiac. Thankfully their faith was justified, for as the years passed Shigeru developed into a carefree, cheerful and loving young man. He was alerted to his extraordinary condition from a young age, and like the typical pig accepted the flaw with grim placidity.

Now that he’s almost an adult, Shigeru is careful to keep in much closer contact with his family than when he was a small child. The pig lives on the estate in the Kami's residence, both because he desires to strengthen the bonds he has with the other Sohmas and because he doesn't feel he's independent enough to live in his own separate apartment. He enjoys the opportunity to socialise with people without running the risk of turning into something utterly terrible. He is still a student and is dealing with school moderately well; he is intelligent enough to pass his classes, but lacks the drive to seek better results. He attends the local high school, but doesn’t seem interested in going to university. Instead, his interests revolve around cooking. He has a part-time at a restaurant where he chops up vegetables; it’s not exactly the most exciting of roles in the kitchen but he enjoys it all the same. Overall, the young pig is a friendly and charismatic young man, if not somewhat naïve. Although he is patient with others he can be harsh on himself, especially when it comes to his emotions. He is curious when it comes to men and women, and can sometimes come off as curiously amorous to the point where it is just awkward, but he tries his best to impress others and is mostly decent. Shigeru is very self-indulgent and usually abandons potential study to spend time in the garden, kitchen or with family.

My Story»» Falling on the lower end of the Sohma family tree, it was not expected that a zodiac member would be born to Kanime Sohma. Even when she became pregnant, the elders (ordered by Takami) didn't worry with warning the young woman about the curse a Sohma child could inherit. They had never informed her mother, Kana, who had married into the Sohma family, and a cursed member had yet to be born into Kana's husband's side of the family for decades. And it wasn't like she would have believed them... So what was the point?

Kanime had been instilled with a great fear of Takami and the elders from a early age. A fear that she had learned from her mother and has passed down to Dai. Due to this fear and Dai's mother refusing to ask for help from their rich family members when she needed it, Dai was born at home through the services of a midwife. She has always been an extremely healthy child, probably due to the fact that she has pretty much lived her life separated from the outside world. She was raised by Kanime, a single mother, and home schooled by her grandmother (a retired teacher). She grew up in her grandmother's home (where all three of the females live) that's located 30 miles away from the Sohma family estate.

Due to her excellent health and quarantine, she still has yet to learn of her true identity as a reincarnation of the Rabbit Demon and has had an almost normal childhood. She loves spending time with her mother and grandmother. She enjoys learning and is very intelligent for her age. She adores furry animals and is scared of the dark, bugs, and scary animals. Other than being extremely shy (due to the fact that she's an only child and has been home schooled all her life), she's basically your typical naive little girl.

My Story»» There isn’t much of a secret to those who are related to a cursed child of the Sohma family. They are either protective of said child or completely despise them. However, there are those who see merely to use their offspring for their own ends, be it for the financial aid they receive or the extra few points in reputation with the Jade God. This was the rare case of Shimori Sohma.

Born on the day that gives the Leap Year its name, Shimori caused in her parents the same dreaded discussion it had caused on many of the other cursed parents’. A baby ram held in the arms of its father. The shock caused her mother to pass out, her father held her away in disgust and even with the explanation the family elders had given the young couple, it wasn’t enough to enlighten the situation. They did take the girl home. They did, for others, call her a daughter, but if there ever were a relationship of daughter and parents…it didn’t exist inside that home.

She grew between fake smiles, cold touches, flinches, and raised voices. She grew in darkness, without love, at least without true love. Outside their parents bragged about the genius their daughter was in school, bragged how close to the family head of house the girl had become, bragged about her looks, bragged about her physical abilities, and her talents…but that was all that it was. Shimori was there as a trophy, to be looked upon. Her life was silent. She was a mere object to her parents. Silence befell her in her room, in her class, and soon seeped into every part of her. As a trophy should be, Shimori was merely there to be looked at and nothing else. The perfect little girl, obedient, patient, polite, everything she was forced to be just to gain the approval she so badly seeked from those she could, still then, call her mother and father.

The one cursed by the ram was never much of a talker or much of a joiner either. In the end of year parties, when their Jade God, Takami, had finally returned to sit upon his rightful place, she was still the odd one out. She didn’t know any of the others like her, and was told never to talk to them for the sole fear of them discovering her dreaded form. The one that had been hammered into her head to be despicable and who only her parents would ever ‘accept’.

It was round the time her parents had taken a liking to travelling and leaving her behind that she found herself meeting some kids her own age, or more specifically Reiji Sohma. It was that time Shimori dropped the shell she had used to live in and plunged into the big world. It had started with a simple game of catch, out in the fields with the other kids. Some older than she was, others could have been younger. In the porch of her home a book had been left abandoned as the little girl, perhaps around the age of eight, joined what seemed like a fun game. Her little feet pushed against the earth as her hands stretched as much as they could as the girl tried to reach for the ball that had come her way, that someone had thrown a little too high. It was too late though when she noticed there was another reaching for the same object she was, and in mid-air the both of them collided into one another, being sent rather awkwardly down into the dirt.

They rolled away for a bit, the ball having been forgotten, their minds literally spinning along with them before there was a complete stop. Reiji was placed right over her, a boy. Panic ran along the little girl’s face as she tried to push him away from her before closing her eyes very tightly. He was so heavy, why did she have to collide with a boy? Her parents would find out. Her parents would kill her, she was sure of it. She had disobeyed them….yet, there was no sound of the familiar transformation, there was no smoke, no nothing. The eyes opened to stare at her hands amazed. It took the kids a while to realize exactly what was going on. Even so, it wasn’t Shimori the one to break the silence, afraid that if he knew he would reject her too, despite him being cursed himself. After all, that was what her parents always told her what had her frowning though was Reiji’s giggling. What was he laughing about?

It was looking at that giggling boy though that a smile broke through her lips and she joined him in giggling. Something about him just made her want to smile and join in his happiness. His words were the first asking her if she was special just like him and with a nod she confirmed his conclusion about their sudden collision. From then on the two have been friends forever, a bond that has only grown over the years as the two grew themselves.

It was the friendship sprouting between the dragon and the ram that had turned the unbalanced life at home the ram lead. She had taken into account that what her parents had been telling her as a child were lies, that Reiji was still her friend despite her transformation into the boar. A rebellion inside Shirumi began to stir. She still was top of the class and excelled at everything but no longer was she under her parents control. She flee the house at night for some party or another, refusing to let her life drag on without enjoying it. She’d run away and disappear for hours during the weekends. At first, one couldn’t say her parents cared much about it, you see the girl not being there was a blessing, they didn’t need to put up with that horrid creature. Although…without her there, they were able to drop their fake masks and hell broke loose.

Husband and Wife began to bicker. No longer did they sleep together, no longer did they talk unless really needed to. Blames were beginning to be taken at the point of fingers. Your fault, your family, your blood, your mother…. The house was never quiet now-a-days. At first Shirumi would return home and her parents would put there masks back on, but that lasted little, as soon their anger began to be turned towards Shirumi. During the day she was at command of her mother, the woman like a hawk watching her and having her do everything, she would boss the girl around the house. At night, the ram fell at the mercy of her father who came home drunk. Never did the neighbors complain about the strange, unusual and dreadful noises that came from the neighboring house. It went on for years.

Shirumi had finally retreated to inside the shell she had once broken as a kid. It took a lot of courage and the best of her friends for her to step up to her father that dreadful night. The only person that knew the happenings in the ram’s life was Reiji, the dragon. Without his comfort and presence she would have never gone through it. Her father had turned up from work quite late, the girl was in the living room reading, her mother in the kitchen cooking. Like usual, at first, he ignored his daughter and entered the kitchen only to begin a fight. It was common, a normal routine by now. The girl, now almost graduated closed her book and tried to tip-toe up the stairs to her room only to be paralyzed by the scene in the kitchen.

Eyes wide, shaking, that menacing grin, that laughter. A struggle broke. Lights went out. Thunder roared. In the distance one could hear the police cars with their loud call, and midst all the chaos and the rain, Shirumi ran to the cottage on the hill that now belonged to Reiji. Her fist knocked on the door insistently and the door opened to reveal the drenched ram.

What happened that night Shirumi was never able to speak about it, however she has sought refuge in the dragon’s home, and ever since they have been keeping company together. Live much better now than it had been before.

My Story»» Fifteen years ago, love blossomed between a daughter of the esteemed Sohma family and an American pianist and music-producer. The relationship was viewed with suspicion and alarm by the elders of the Sohmas, as this young woman could have been considered a ‘blueblood’ of their ancient line, as was her brother. However, this lady wasn’t about to abide by their set laws. She was a defiant and proud Sohma, and thus when she eventually married her lover and moved away to the city of New York, she was purposefully estranged from their business. At the time, she was happy for the freedom. Things changed when her brother contacted her a few months afterwards: his wife had given birth to one of ‘them’. A cursed Sohma. She was terrified of the news, but ignored it as much as possible, convincing herself that it was just another of her brother’s uncalled-for pranks.

But she was wrong. Six years later she and her husband had their own child, a little girl. When he held her, she transformed into a pale red rat with hooked fangs and yellowed claws. The surprise did not go so well, and after a few months of deliberation, the two divorced and the mother returned to Japan with her daughter. She purposefully moved into an apartment not far from her brother’s home, in the hope that he’d be able to support her. It wasn’t very long before they introduced the Monkey to the tiny Rat infant, vainly hoping that there’d be some kind of miracle – and there was. Yuuki pulled the pouting baby into his arms before his father or her mother could stop him. The siblings were stunned, and then relieved – the two hadn’t transformed! In celebration of this discovery, a proposal was made concerning the children’s futures. From then on, things seemed to pass very quickly. The two grew together, adopting one another as ‘siblings’. When Yuuki’s accident occurred, it was a six-year old Masumi who kissed his wound ‘better’ and made him daisy-chains. He was soon moved to the Sohma household, a private estate for the cursed. To begin with, Masumi stayed with her mother and often questioned her as to where the Monkey had gone. It wasn’t very long before Takami found her as well, and swept her away. She now lives in the main building, despite being quite young, as she is independent. Too much. Yes, Masumi is far too liberated, or at least she believes she should be. It’s a regular occurrence for her to leave the grounds without permission, and for the Rat to get into serious trouble with her school. Despite her quick wit, she loves living ‘on the edge’. She’s constantly parading around her boyfriend and rebelliously ignores most of Takami’s orders when she can. Masumi will never willingly submit to another, and always tries to follow her own set of rules and regulations. This said, when not trying to wriggle out of Takami’s iron grip, she is a conservative and generally friendly girl with a love of sarcasm and bitter humour.

My Story»» Hyo’s parents met while they were both children, and they started dating when they were still very young. When his mother turned sixteen, she got very sick and started spending a lot of time in and out of hospitals. His father decided that he would become a doctor to help her and try and solve her illness. During his father’s second year of med school, his mother got pregnant. They were very happy, having been worried that because of her sickness she wouldn’t be able to have children. While they were worried about her health, both felt it was worth the risk. His mother’s health had gotten better in the past few years, so they were not too worried. Then came the day he was born. Like the entire zodiac, he was born early. The birth was much harder on his mother than they thought it would be. His mother died in childbirth. It was depressing for everyone, but they knew it would be a risk when she got pregnant, even if they thought it would be very small. His father was just grateful that at least his son made it through the birth. Hyo was named after his father, and was given his mother’s name as a middle name in her memory. Hyo had health problems when he was first born, and spent time in the ICU, so no one knew of his curse right away. When a female nurse picked him up, he turned into a rooster demon. It scared everyone there, especially his father. His father felt that it was Hyo’s fault his mother was dead, since clearly he was a demon, and wanted nothing to do with the boy. Once Hyo was out of the hospital, he was taken to live in the main estate. He doesn’t know anything about his parents, or why they’re not around. He’s never thought to ask. He’s spent a lot of time with Takani, vaguely understanding the whole cure thing. He doesn’t fully understand the curse, but he knows he’s not supposed to let most girls touch him. He’s being home schooled at the moment. He still has some health problems, getting some from his mother. He has asthma and a weaker than normal immune system. He has medication for both that normally make them both not a problem as long as he’s careful. He still gets sick more than normal, that that’s why he hates doctors so much.

My Story»» Not knowing who you are or why you’re different – because you clearly know that – can be quite the heavy burden to carry, especially if it’s loaded onto you early in life. Bryn didn’t know much of his history when he was growing up in an orphanage in Wales, all he knew was that he’d been left there, a strange boy, with an even stranger note.

‘Make sure he’s raised by male caretakers.’

It sounded strange to the woman who ran the orphanage, being the one to answer the door that night. It didn’t take her long to find out why. She brought the boy to a room, a laughing young baby, and for some reason she hugged him close – mostly because she understood how he’d been abandoned – only to jump back in fear when she found a hissing snake in her arms. It resembled no snake she had seen before, and it took her a while to realize it was more afraid of her than anything. This woman would discover that Bryn, as they named the boy at the orphanage would turn into a sort of ‘demon’ snake when embraced by one of the opposite gender…or when his emotions ran too high.

Bryn’s childhood was secluded, he was different. Not because of his ‘curse’, but because most other children found his albinism strange as well. He became the subject of ridicule, of all kinds of jibes and pranks. His albinism was why his parents had abandoned him was what some of the bullies told him, it left him bitter, and more so when coupled with the fact that none he was never hugged by any of the women that took care of him. Every other child was hugged when they got hurt, or achieved something. Never him. Ever.

It was how Bryn grew up, cold, bitter and distant. He had a few friends though, but they sometimes gave into the building peer pressure too. Still, those two were comparatively nicer to him. So in a way, they were ‘friends’. Bryn was barely thirteen when it happened again. He hugged one of his friends, and the next thing he knew everyone was screaming at him. He’d felt a strange pain, but what he felt when the children were screaming at him was even stranger. His hands and legs were gone, and he could sense their fear. That was one even that had a deep impact on the boy. What he saw in the mirror scared him too.

It wasn’t long before his freedom came, the Sohma family managed to locate him. His father had eventually confessed to this ‘god’ before succumbing to a disease. The ‘god’ had ordered Bryn be found. He was still afraid, but when the day he had to leave came, Bryn realized that none of the people at the Orphanage remembered the event, or anything about a snake. Once he was ‘safe’ in Japan, he was brought before Takami, the ‘god’. Who told him he wasn’t alone. For once, Bryn felt welcome, somewhere. Not fully, there was a bitterness that would never leave him. He was similar to a lot of the Sohma, but he was different. That difference would never leave him.
