Xun lin, a Duke from the Lord's first litter had recently taken the seat and title of 'Lord' from his father, Sheng kou. Since then, the House has been a little more busier than usual as the new Lord implemented his thoughts and ideas into the already strict structure set forth from the previous Lord and insight from the, apparent, previous Emperor and Empress.

Not that he cared.

Kinari rolled upon his back, noticing that the rather large den was rather empty. He noted the fact that his half-brother had placed him in a den at the base of a hill, away from the river, within a small thicket of trees, hidden from sight, and away from the House. Oh how quite hospitable of the Firekin to inadvertently banish him and yet led to believe he still had some sort of control over the lion. If he had wanted, he could have gladly left the House many times and the previous Lord would not know any of it before he was long gone past the Pride Lands. However, a deal was a deal. As long as he stayed here, no one from his past will find him.

And mind all, there are many from his past he truly did not want to meet again. Especially Gods.

A shiver ran down the mortal's back before he rolled up to his haunches. "He is out late or he is up early. In either case, leaves me alone and rather... bored." boredom. Yes, a state in which Kinari rather disliked being in. Though he agreed to come, he has not entirely agreed to go by many of their rules. As far as he was concerned, he was technically not within the House and thus did not go by the ridiculous, and complicated, name the former Lord had placed upon him. The thought it made his head twitch. As long as his attention was kept occupied, he was useful. A Major within the House, he was a very powerful lion. Not so much powerful, but one that lacked control and many moral values that he was more of a murderer with some sense of control in that he found within his partner.

Which was not here.

Chuffing, Kinari raised to his feet and left the den, into the thicket that surrounded it.
