Lately, a bunch of mice had taken up residence in the area of the Kitwana'antara. Whilst generally a nuisance, the small creatures were perfect for the new cubs to practice their hunting on, and were delectable snacks for any adults who decided to grab some. Gweaednearth was determined that he was going to catch a whole bunch! But determination (as yet) hadn't translated into skill, and what he was actually doing was pounce-tripping. Too far forward when he lunged, he ended up tripping over his own paws. In his defense they were very large paws, out of proportion with the rest of his body. He was a rather young cub, after all. Soon they'd begin to even out a little, but in the meantime they were a veritable danger.
He was getting better, though. His pounces were getting closer and closer on target and his stealth was improving mightily.
"Yaaah!"
Well, mostly.

TanuKyle Apologies for the delay! Busy weekend was busy. xD Shivali had noticed that there was an infestation of mice most recently. They had looked cute and cuddly, but instinct often made her want to pounce and leap at them. And possibly eat their heads. That could only happen though if she successfully was able to actually jump upon them, and today. . . .well. . . .that wasn't working very well.
The petite white and orange spotted cub had been attempting to chase the mice. But if she exerted herself too much, she sometimes found it hard to breathe; furthermore, she just plain didn't feel so well. Her joints ached, and she felt very stiff. Walking hurt, moving hurt, but . . . but she didn't want to be left out either. She could have stayed back in the den, but there were clouds and spots of sunshine and the rest of her siblings were running around, why couldn't she?
So it was, the young female limped slowly after a couple scurrying mice. Her orange-red eyes looked out over the landscape, and she noticed an unfamiliar, and very young looking black cub. He looked to be hunting the mice, or at least trying to. Having inherited her gentle mothers sugar sweetness, the young cub slowly limped closer. It wasn't polite to not say hello, after all. ". . . did you catch any yet?" She questioned quietly, a bright smile on her features despite the tiredness about her.
Shivali was small for a cub, but that was likely due to her sickness. She had been born ill, and for awhile it was touch and go. Despite being petite and thin, all things delicate, the little cub didn't appear to mind. She was sick, or so she had been told, but many within the pride were. It didn't bother her, even if . . . even if it sometimes wasn't very fun.
