Fyri
It was a warm day, a rather unpleasant warmish day as Fyri walked around the pride, there was little to do at the moment. His captain was busy and there were to be no raids for day, and he other than sparing with another lion had nothing to do with his free time. He had no cubs he had to even think of let alone a mate or thrall just himself to occupy time.

These were the worse days for him, though others were rather fond of a break he was not and he wish there were fewer of them.

Galning
Galning had spread several bunches of mint out on the ground before him. They had been harvested from different patches, though at nearly the same time. He was trying to figure out which of them had the best scent, and was likely to be the most potent. Once he made that decision, that would be the only place he bothered to gather mint.

Oh, Galning was still holding to his strict regimen of training and mint in moderation, but that didn't mean he couldn't make decisions like this. Galning imagined himself as a connoiseur of mint. When he got too old to be a reaver, Galning thought he might like to cultivate mint.

"Good afternoon," he greeted the dark lion who was practically storming through the pride. "Would you like to help me figure out which bunch of mint is the best?"

He was in a good mood. He wanted everyone else to be in a good mood, too.

Fyri
With furrowed brows and rather a darken look on his face, the annoyed lion continued to move through the pride not even greeting those that he passed. Fyri didn’t even pay any attention to the lion who had some sort of silly arrangement of leaves out in front of him, it wasn’t until he spoke that he stopped.

He was a little at loss not thinking anyone would bother to even acknowledge him and gave the unfamiliar lion a rather dumbfounded look before shaking it off his maw.

“Mint? You want me to help you figure out what mint is best? Why should I?” He replied in a sharp tone as he peered at the leaves. They did smell faintly of mint but Fyri had little interest in them, dealing with mint was more of a lioness’s job

Galning
"Well, why not?" Galning asked. "It's not a bad way to spend time. In fact, it's actually pretty enjoyable."

That much seemed like it should have been obvious, as far as Galning was concerned, but he had learned that lots of lions in the pride had no idea how to have fun. He had been like that as a cub. It was probably why he went crazy once he came here with the mint and the fermented fruit. He didn't know how to relax without it. But he had learned better. He was wiser now. At least he believed that.

"I could use a second opinion. A person's senses get a bit dull after a while, you know."

"Enjoyable?" Fyri replied raising a brow at the rather questionable notion that something such as smelling mint as something pleasurable. Viking, killing, pillaging, all of those things were pleasurable not the idea of some sort of thrall work of mint choosing. He was beginning to think the lion in front of him was some sort of questionable fellow, not one that he would want to be around in a band if they were under raid, actually not even his last pick if it came to guard duty.

Fyri gave a deep sigh, it wasn’t as if he was doing anything any better at the moment other than storming through the pride bored.

“Fine I’ll help,” his voice was rather reluctant in the response as he sat down in front of the mint leaves.
“So what do I need to do.”

"Yeah," Galning said, shooting an odd look at Fyri. Surely the lion knew about mint, and how wonderful it was. If not, what was wrong with him? "Enjoyable."

Galning recognized his interlocutor as one of the Warlord's sons, but he wasn't quite sure which one he was, not having many dealings with the Warlord's family, in general. That didn't matter so much. He was still mostly flabbergasted that the lion didn't understand how enjoyable it was to chew mint. Even smelling it could get a person a little bit high.

He shrugged and quickly divided the piles so that each of them had a set to work with. That way they wouldn't be rearranging each other's order.

"Well, it's really simple. You smell the mint, taking a really deep breath when you do it, hold the scent until you've got kind of a taste for it, and then move on. If you want, you can put them in sort of order from best to worst, with the best on the left."
