Curious as ever, Banhishikha had found herself wondering around the pride. Of course, there were watchful eyes upon her where ever she went. Not that she really knew about it, she always thought she was able to sneak away, but never brave enough to try to sneak outside of pride limits. She didn't want to be lost, after all. Plus, there were so many cool things here. She had found a nice rock to play with, though what she really wanted was someone to follow around and learn everything that she could from them.

She wanted to be come the best at everything. Well, perhaps not everything. She flicked her tail as she pounced at the rock, rolling over to her back, and tossing the rock in the air with her paws. She had hardly a care at all, just being a cub and playing was her top things. Though, she needed something exciting, something she could brag to others about..

Dark as a shadow, Morag padded towards the pride dens with a heavy step, weariness in every line of her body. In stark contrast, she carried only a skinny rabbit in her jaws, hardly worthy of the effort she had put out to catch it. Luckily for her, no one had started asking questions about how long she tended to be gone these days on hunting trips that produced very little game. Not that it was any of their business, but unanswered questions as annoying as a biting fly.

What she had been doing, that very few knew, was meeting with certain members of the pride that spent most of their time outside of the pridal lands, seeing and hearing things of interest. It was these things that filled her mind now, her mind chasing them about like a wild dog would chaise the rabbit she held. Round and around and around. But that wasn't such a bad thing... sometimes she scared up answers along the way, though such had not proved true so far today.

Well. She would make her own report and let fresh minds pick over what she had brought back. Meanwhile, her belly would get a little snack of hare before she went searching for real food.

Banhishikha noticed the black lioness making her way through the area. Curiosity crossed her mind as she noted the dead hare in the adult's mouth. She decided to follow her to investigate farther on what was going on. She seemed more interesting that anyone around as of late. Banhishikha tried to be as quite as possible, trying not to make any noise as she started to follow the other. It was harder done than said.

She tripped over a rock, with a loud thud, but got up quickly, hoping the other hadn't heard her. Of course, that wasn't all that was loud. Banhishikha's breathing was also loud, but she hadn't tried to really sneak up on someone that was older than she was. It was rather nerve racking, but still really fun. Her tail flicked back and forth as she looked at herself from the fall then tried to keep up with the lioness, again going back to trying to be as quiet as possible. Why did she always seem louder when she wanted to be quiet?

The sound of something small and ungainly padding along behind her reached Morag's ears and she flicked them back, sending a glance back over her shoulder to pick out a red body among the hills of sand.

Well now... who was this? Was she being followed... by a cub? It both amused and perplexed her, a smile struggling to fit in her mouth around the hare she carried. Shifting her course a little, she started to wander in random directions, winding back and forth. When the little red shadow continued to follow, she was sure that it was her that was drawing the cub along. What still remained to be answered was; why?

Turning sharply, she skipped out of site around a dune and crouched low, waiting for the cub to catch up to her.

Banhishikha hadn't noticed she had been spotted, even though the lioness had glanced back once or so. She figured she hid her self pretty good. Who would notice her in all this sand. Of course, she hadn't taken into consideration that the sand was ALOT lighter than she was. Though, the lioness had started going in odd directions here and there, where was she going? Curiosity continued to kindle more and more. It got her to follow the lioness more. The hare was now out of her mind almost completely.

Suddenly the lioness disappeared over a dune, Banhishikha didn't think to much of it, maybe it was just a really big dune. She crept over it with hear ears up and her eyes poked about trying to find her. She lost her! Nuuu. Her ears flicked back and she kicked the sand on top of the dune, annoyed with herself. "Crap, I need more practice" She said to herself with a sigh. She thought she had been doing pretty good.

"If you're trying to sneak up on me, you'll need to learn to be quieter." Morag echoed the cub as she padded up the side of the dune, dropping the hare at her feet so she could speak to the cub. Her head tilted as a smile curled over her mouth as she looked over the small red and white body, the bright, bi-colored gaze.

Lots of enthusiasm, little skill, she thought as she stretched her forepaws out on the sand, letting the stretch move into her back as she arched it.

"You'll have to be a lot faster too, if you're thinking about stealing my catch." She chuckled.

Banhishikha jumped at the voice of the other. Where?! How?! What?! Her fur had also stood straight up at the surprise of the other. She looked around until she caught the black lioness in her sights. She wanted to speak, but words just got caught in her throat. She didn't think the lioness would actually come and talk to her. Most adults ignored cubs, at least, that's what she thought. Though, she really hadn't tried to follow any until now.

"I... I wasn't trying my hardest!" She lied. "I can be super quiet!" She insisted. She wanted to prove she was good. At least, she wanted to impress the lioness.

The hare had been lost in her mind, until now that the lioness had mentioned it. Honestly, she didn't think about stealing it, she was just curious on where the lioness was going. "I wasn't going to steal your food" She said honestly. Though now, the idea was in her head. She eyed the hare and then the lioness. It'd be impossible to steal it now, but the lioness seemed to give her the opportunity to try. A dare, sort of.

A game, was it? She tried to look at the hare without looking suspicious. If she did managed to get it from the lioness, maybe she'd be impressed by it?Banhishikha pawed at the sand for a moment, letting her claws dig into the loose sand. "What are you doing out here?" She asked, curiosity still in her mind.

Morag smiled as she dropped a paw onto her catch, seeing the way the cub was eyeing it. Not that she would deny a child food, even from her own mouth, but it was amusing to emphasize the 'no stealing'.

"I'm sure you can, if you wanted to be. You just need to learn the best way to do it so you don't have to try as hard, it just comes naturally. Its important for a good huntress to be able to sneak up on something quietly." She tilted her head at the question of what she was doing and the dark lioness shrugged, patting the rabbit with her paw. "I was hunting. The whole pride has to eat, you know... Even if I am the Spymaster, every bit helps and I did a lot of hunting when I was a huntress."

"What about you, hmm? Out here doing some hunting yourself?"

All hopes of actually stealing the hare, she had originally no interest in, was now gone the moment the lioness put a paw on it. The game was over for that small bit of fun, but another spark of interest crossed her mind as the other told her what she was doing. Her ears popped forward a bit. "Can you teach me to be better, then?" If she was a spymaster, then she had to be fast, right? Then why not learn from the best, if she wanted to be the best? Though, she didn't know what a spymaster did, Banhishikha was now curious, but didn't want to ask something like that yet.

"I'm... Trying to become the best." She puffed out her chest and stood on all fours as tall as she could. She wanted to be bigger than she was. She couldn't wait to grow up and help the pride in one way or another. Whatever she was going to do, she wanted to be the best at it. No exceptions. " You got to practice to be the best." She nodded.

The dark lioness laughed as she watched the little girl, a feeling of wonder stealing over her and a warmth in her chest.

Such a glorious pride they had, that a young girl like this could have such big dreams. Even during a time of crisis and hardship, her spirit was undefeatable, burning as brightly as any of them even at this young age. It touched something in Morag and she couldn't help the grin that stretched across her face.

"I would be honored to help you practice." She said, laughing softly. "And I think I know a good way to get started."

Standing up, she rolled the hair over, taking a deep breath of its smell, still fresh from its newly lost life. "Take a good sniff of this... I'm going to go and hide, and it will be your job to track me down. Use every sense you have to find me... and you can have the hare as a reward. Sound good?" Morag grinned as she picked the prey up, dangling it by the back of its neck.

Excitement rolled through Banhishikha which she tried to keep under control. It wasn't very easy. Her tail flicked a bit and her paws kinda tapped lightly on the sand below. She was so happy that she was going to do something her little heart wanted, and was going to be the best at it. She grinned up at the black female, her eyes wide with excitement and anticipation.

It seemed like a hard first task to do, but Banhishikha was up for the challenge. To her, it was a game. She took a smell of the hare, long and deep to make sure she'd get every scent of it in her nostrils. It was a strong musky smell and it made her belly rumble a bit. "Okay!" She said once she felt she got a good smell of it.

She had a rather silly look upon her face, but to her it was determination. "Do you want me to close my eyes and count?" She asked curiously. She had played a sorta game like this before, but there was no hare involved, and she didn't use all her senses to play it. Not that they hid very well, though.
