Though he didn't talk very freely, at least not to anyone aside a select few, Sjari was clearly well along the recovery road. Physically he was practically back to his old self, aside from problems he shared with the rest of the pride due to the lack of water. He had gained weight once again and no longer looked lanky, instead a rather healthy and even handsome male.
He was grateful for his physical recovery. and even psychologically he was doing well enough! Sure, some unpleasant thoughts still plagued him, and his personality had changed. He'd been much more talkative before the Nergui, and Sjari nowadays was still a bit withdrawn.
He was getting back to having some fun, though. Plenty of time was spent with Badieh, and that was the plan for today. He wandered about the area were they usually ran into each other, feeling relaxed.

Badieh was on the dunes watching as the sand moved freely with the wind grazing against it in between two dunes. A strange effect, bringing something between two dunes, almost half buried, as she was, she was trying to think. Too deep in thought, evidently, as her half buried body was unnoticed by her. Her mind trying to think of a strategy for how this could be used effectively.
She was so conflicted.
A part of her, wishing to fight, to conquer, to battle.
And another, to withdraw, to be..normal, soft, easy.
Where was her balance?
She felt under pressure, but she had one solace, Sjari. He never seemed to put any bounty of pressure on her, for which she was grateful. She chuckled at the thought, it appeared as if she put more pressure on him. But did he know?

He might have missed her if Badieh's fur didn't stand out against the sand, and he wasn't looking for her. Half covered in sand as she was, and lying so still, she was almost easy to miss! But still, catching sight of the lioness amused Sjari, and also sort of made him wonder why she would be in such a state.
Since she was lying down he couldn't exactly do the little greeting they had arranged, and that would ruin the opportunity to surprise Badieh in a rare distracted state, while Sjari was a in a rare playful one.
He knew better than to just pounce her, but he silently took a seat beside the lioness, just out of her line of sight, without disturbing the sand, and his shadow wasn't cast in a way that would really indicate his presence. And then he waited, wondering how long it would take her to notice he was here.

The grains followed one after another, following the first, destined to come towards her, come into a pile once meeting her, the force. A battle tactic that could be formidable.
Hmm.
But then she thought, and an ear twicthed, she thought nothing of it, until the grains started spreading further, and she glanced from the corner of her eye.
He sat there, without moving, saying a word, not speaking.
But their greeting!
"She immediately rose up from the sands like a beast born of gold and pounced on him sand erupting into the air, everywhere, and she pushed him down, hopped over him and took a few strides before turning to face him. Her chest heaved, trying to steady.
His brother, him?
"Sjari?"
She could be tricked.
"How, why, why would you-" her mind racing.

Though he realized soon enough he had startled her in a way, Sjari was simply in too good a mood to let that ruin this encounter just yet. He didn't resist the pounce at all, despite being rather surprised by it, and willingly flopped to the sand, closing his eyes to keep them protected.
The pressure was off him quickly, but he didn't rise, and only turned his head so he could look at Badieh, now a couple lengths away. "Yes, it's me." He smiled, not being quite the sort to burst out laughing. "I caught you." His tail thumped against the floor once or twice, lazy but also playful.

"Caught me? Barely," she huffed, her eyes narrowed, scanned him for any scars. Any tell. But how would she really know?
"How do I know its you?" he'd broken the pact, well, she had been buried in sand. But he made no effort now!
HOw did she know he was not the enemy?
The real Sjari would want her to be careful always..wouldn't he? She hoped...really, she did hope for that, that he might care...even a little.

He nodded, her doubts were fair enough. He got to his paws with ease, and briefly shook out the sand from his fur before walking towards her... then just past before linking their tails together, like they had agreed. Sjari stopped then, and just his turned to look back at her, and looked a little apologetic.
"I was in a good mood, thought I'd prank you. Don't be mad." He still wasn't entirely sure, or convinced, that he had upset her enough that he should really be worried about talking this through. Sjari would, of course, be willing to, but at the same time he hoped these sorts of things could happen and they could get over it without long-lasting awkwardness.
He rather wished she could just see Svarr for herself, and know their differences with more ease... though frankly, Sjari never wanted to see his brother again.
