This is Sor'en na Kai'i, or Sorenna for short, and she is the Goddess of Vengeance. I am giving her away.
As she is a goddess, however, as well as an established character, there are strings attached. First and foremost, she will need to stay true to the character and history laid out for her.
Breakdown: The basic premise for Sor'en na Kai'i (Twister of Hearts) is that Vengeance is a selfish act. It is a blinding, all-consuming quest that goes far beyond a desire for justice, ultimately leading one down an isolated, self-destructive and often violent path. It is not a cathartic experience, but a shallow pursuit that breeds strife and whose completion brings not peace, but emptiness. This is what is at the core of Sorenna's character.
She is selfish, self-absorbed, and cares nothing for others. No emotions save anger are useful to her, and have been discarded. She forms attachments to no one, period. Never. She has no time for anyone else, unless they seek vengeance themselves; even then, she is not motivated by sympathy or any altruistic intention. Rather, as she herself has not been wronged, and therefore doesn't need revenge for her own sake, she takes on that of others. It is the reason for her existence, and she needs it - you may think of it as a form of addiction, if that helps.
She does not care about anyone else. She does not love. She is not capable. She abandoned her own children, Justice and Chaos, and would do the same to any others she might have. She wouldn't keep them until they were weaned, wouldn't try to track down their father, wouldn't try to give them any form of chance to survive. She would have them and leave them and not think about them again. This isn't a huge problem for god children, since they're capable of surviving on their own, but it does mean that mortal children of hers are extremely, extremely rare.
Sorenna doesn't have time for anyone but Sorenna. She will not found a pride or take any interest at all in being a patron - sure, people can worship her if they want, but she couldn't care less about having followers.
All that said, while she is a raging b***h, she's not insane, nor does she run around killing people for kicks, or even just people who annoy her (if she did that, she wouldn't have time for anything else). She might hurt them accordingly if they piss her off enough, but when it comes to dealing with your average SoA, Sorenna is more bark than bite.
She's a relatively old goddess, and hasn't been reborn in more than a century. She's a tough, badass old b***h, and it would take a lot to kill her (read: another god, if not gods). Her brother, with whom she has no relationship whatsoever, is the God of Karma. Her children are Dathcharu'kai, the God of Chaos, and Seitaru'kai, the Goddess of Justice. As mentioned above, she abandoned them. She also has various grandchildren, mortal and immortal alike, but they are currently unknown and inconsequential to her. She currently has one surviving mortal daughter (my souvenir, if you will).
Rules:
Abide by her personality. Character development happens, yes, but there are developments and then there's "What the hell just happened?". Stay away from the latter. As stated, it is very rare for Sorenna to have mortal children, and even rarer for them to survive. I'm not saying it can't happen at all, but don't just go flinging her all over the place or using her as a parent for customs/assorted SoAs. And don't put cosplays in her litters. Just don't. I would be sad. It's more in the realm of possiblity for her to have god children, but even then, don't do it just because you can/god breedings happen to be open. Please, within reason, don't restrict her line, such as saying that her children can't be homosexual, that they can't breed with distant relatives as allowed by shop rules, can't have hybrids, that sort of thing. I'd appreciate it if you don't turn right around and have her reborn - it can happen, but let it be for the right reasons, not because you don't like her current appearance or something like that. If you don't like her as she is, don't try for her. She will never surrender her domain/become mortal. If you leave Gaia or SoA, or if you disappear for a year+, she comes back to me. You may not give her to someone else. I reserve the right to extend this contest, or not to choose anyone at all. By entering, you agree to all of the above.
I know this probably all sounds very fearsome, I just don't want to see her turn into kittens and butterflies and flowers. I do not, however, expect anything in return for giving her to you - she is yours, and you owe me nothing. I'm not going to chase after you for a baby if she has any or anything like that. She's yours to play, develop, and enjoy. I'm not going to be looking over your shoulder and telling you what to do. If you win, then I trust you to take care of her properly, and I have no intentions of being intrusive.
Barring any extensions, this contest will end one month from its posting.

Temporary Powers: - Able to trap a perceived wrongdoer in a terrifying vision of her choosing. - Able to spontaneously inflict injuries almost exactly like those inflicted on a victim. - Drawn to those seeking vengeance.
Permanent Power: (Note that this hasn't been approved yet, but will replace her previously-approved permanent power when it is. Please don't use the previous one, as it made no sense for her to have whatsoever.)
A permanent version of one of her temporary powers, the ability "to trap a perceived wrongdoer in a terrifying vision of her choosing." The visions aren't constant, but take the form of nightmares: whenever they sleep they will dream that they're the victim of a crime similar to the one they committed, in horrifying detail.
'Alternate' Form: At this time, she doesn't have one. You're free to acquire one for her, but she probably isn't the klipspringer type. xP

I can't resist most contests you put up, Meep... emo Plus Sor'en was fun to write for whee
Username: Andranis Have you read and do you agree to the rules?: Yes'm! How many gods do your currently own?: 1 - Xavier Prompt Response: Sor'en carefully groomed a paw, not looking at the lion before her. After a moment, she finally aknowledged his presence. "Is there something you need?" She didn't particularly care to disguise herself, only doing so fleetingly to truly mess with heads, so what this mortal saw was Vengeance in her full glory.
The lion before the goddess, ears folded back, bowed his head. "Oh mighty Goddess... I need your help gaining vengeance on another..."
"And what's in it for me?"
The lion was taken aback. The stories he'd heard were that the goddess simply lived for the vengeance, to simply perform the acts of her domain. "Ah... What...? I... I thought..."
Placing a paw down, the goddess scowled at the mortal. "Not everything in life is free..." She got up, going over and shoving the mortal down. Her claws lightly pricked at his mane, a rather dark and creepy grin crossing her face. "You can't just ask my services.. And not expect to give me something. And I know just what you'll do for me... When I feel I need you, I will find you and you will be my pawn. I will throw you at whoever I please, for whatever reason, even if it's just to entertain me to watch you suffer." She lifted her paw, pinching his cheek. "An act of vengeance for a request made of me, as it were... Is this clear?"
The mortal could only nod, eyes wide. "Y-yes'm..."
Sor'en smiled. "Good. Now tell me about your little... Problem... That requires my help, that such a puny little mortal can't do on his OWN..." Anything else you care to add?: She'd pretty much continue on her current path. She may have the odd occurance of character developement here and there, but it'll be a very slow and very hard set of lessons learned to get that developement. A lot of it will involve repeatedly running into Xavier(I can see them getting along... Just long enough to make someone miserable. And then they'd be at each other's throats) - She may even very well cause his next rebirth! At some point, she'll run into Taichi and have a tiny bout of curiosity about his own quest for vengeance against his grandfather, but will be frustrated by his stubborn refusal to let her kill the old bag of bones and take it as a personal jab.
Username: Princess_Feylin Have you read and do you agree to the rules?: Yes ma'am. How many gods do your currently own?: 1 (Impermanence) Prompt Response: Sorenna didn't have to travel instantaneously from place to place. She had wings and paws that functioned perfectly well, and usually she preferred them unless she was working on a tight schedule, which was rare for an immortal. She felt that she tended to miss opportunities when she used her ability to travel instantaneously, and so instead she flew. Or walked with her wings hidden, if she didn't care to deal with mortals.
At present she was walking because she was annoyed by her most recent interaction with a mortal. A pair of mortals, actually.
As sometimes happened, Sor'en na Kai'i had felt herself drawn to a lion whose craving for vengeance was so strong it had been like a direct summons. To reach this lion whose lust for vengeance was so potent, Sorenna opted to fly, which would allow her to gather some information about the territory she was entering and the sort of lions she'd be dealing with as she avenged the one who had unwittingly called her.
It was a warlike pride by the coast. They seemed like the type who would make all sorts of lions seek vengeance. If need be, Sorenna would have little difficulty destroying them, but she'd have to use her ability to inflict spontaneous injury. With lions such as these, to make the pride cause its own undoing through visions would be the work of generations. She wasn't sure it was worth that much effort.
The lioness whose fury had attracted Sorenna was a dark brown female with blue eyes and a pregnant belly. She was, when Sorenna appeared, talking with a very slight hematite-colored lioness. Apparently the latter was trying to convince the former of the joys of caring for cubs and the former was more in favor of castrating the father and drowning the cubs out of spite. Sorenna couldn't say she disapproved.
At an opportune moment Sorenna had summoned her wings and revealed herself to the pair, explaining who she was and what she might be willing to do for them as far as enacting vengeance on the lions who had subjugated and abused them. In the process she teased from them their stories, which were not so very extraordinary to a goddess as old and experienced as Sorenna, but were still more than worthy of being avenged. Sorenna would not have minded seeking vengeance for either or both of the lionesses.
The slight lioness whose body bore the marks of hard use and whose eyes held a broken heart and spirit had rejected the offer instantly because she apparently didn't believe in revenge. Sorenna was more disgusted than disappointed, but she was disappointed. There had been a great deal of material for her to work with in that lioness's history, starting with the broken heart and everything after.
It had been the rejection of the second lioness that left Sorenna baffled and out of sorts. She had said that the offer was appreciated, but she could not believe that it was wise to trust someone else to avenge her. People were disappointments waiting to happen. Even immortal people. Besides, it would be more satisfying to exact her revenge herself, and she didn't want to share even a little bit of that fierce delight with anyone else.
Rebuffed, Sorenna had departed. It had not been the first time a mortal had decided not to seek vengeance, but it had been the first time in nearly a mortal's span of years that such a thing had happened. As she walked and brooded over the foolishness of mortals a sort of calm came over her. They were just two mortals and there were always others who would need her. With that, she dismissed them completely, forgetting them almost by the time her previously-hidden wings materialized. Anything else you care to add?: Man. Just writing that was fun. I wish you luck finding a good player for her. I'm sorry my entry turned out to be so long.
Personally, I don't plan to make any major changes to her character beyond those that come from having a different person playing her. So, mannerisms, that sort of thing. I don't know as I would really want her character to develop all that much, since I really like her as-is. The only thing I can think of that might go contrary to her nature would be if she, as an experiment, tried to understand why a mortal would not want her to take revenge on their behalf. But in the end I know she'd decide it was just because they were stupid, so nothing character-changing there. cool

Username: L1m3_gr33n_sh4rp13 Have you read and do you agree to the rules?: Yes How many gods do your currently own?: 0 Prompt Response: The savanna appeared calm and complacent, save for the lone dark form wandering it. Wing curled about her sides and tail twitching with a purpose; indeed, Sor'en was on a mission. She felt the draw of someone seeking vengeance near by and like a moth to the flame she was going to seek them out and give them aid. Whether they wanted it or not. Her help was to satisfy her own dark lust for vengeance. While she herself had no drive to seek our any personal vendetta's at the moment, for she took care of those as they came to her, she had the urge to force her "help" onto others. It was a drive she couldn't control, not that she would care to try.
She did not give help to aid anyone but herself. The feeling of others need for vengeance was something that consumed her. Their desire to inflict upon others what they had had done to them was blinding. Sor'en loved it. The selfishness and strife that vengeance bred, the self-destruction an eye for an eye caused, it was the sweetest food for this goddess.
A malevolent grin crept across her features as she finally reached her destination, spotting the mortal creature whose quest had drawn the goddess to them. A leopard seeking to get vengeance on one who had wronged her. It seemed almost pity and insignificant, but it was an act of vengeance and Sor'en could not pass it up, no matter how inconsequential.
At first the leopard didn't see her, but as Sor'en continued to stand there, behind her in the shadows of twilight, the leopard slowly became aware and turned to see her. The looming winged lioness frightened her at first before Sor'en spoke, "So, tell me. What bred this desire for vengeance, and who is it you seek to gain retribution from?" The how only mattered to her, because she wished to inflict the same pain and agony upon the offender. Sor'en was no guardian f the weak or of victims, it was something more sinister for that. No, no. She did what she did out of a drive to inflict the same torments on others they inflicted on creatures like this leopard.
The small leopard cowered for a moment before softly stammering, telling the goddess of the horrible act a rogue lion had done to her. The small creatures form was covered in slash and bite marks and as she explained the unwarranted attack the goddess could not help but memorize ever oozing gash and infected looking scrape. The lion who did this could feel each wound as if they littered his own body once she found him. Once the leopard had told Sor'en all the details, she looked to the large goddess and thanked her.
Thanks. Hah. Without a word she walked away. Sor'en did not do this for creatures like the leopard, she did it for herself. To satisfy that need for vengeance that filled her. Like an itch she couldn't help but scratch or like an addiction she cared not to break. That was just it, this was her addiction. She did it for no one but herself. She was a selfish b***h after all, and proud of it.
After spending some time walking, and thinking she felt the presence of the lion whom she sought. A rogue male, large and filled with self sustaining pride. An egomaniac with a nose for weaker creatures. Looking at him told her he never lost fights, not because he was good at it, but because he picked on smaller creatures.
Oh, this would be a treat.
She had met many creatures like this. Not just like this lion, but like the leopard. Those too terrified to fuel their drive for revenge or vengeance, or those who lacked that spark to go through with it, or even the means. Those were the best sort of creatures for her. It made taking the pleasure of the act away from them easier. She didn't need to ask or beg to do it for them, she just did it. (Not that she asked in the first place. She always did whatever she wanted. No one could tell her otherwise anyhow, especially not some mortal creature.)
The lion noticed her and seemed confused for a moment. Then that grin he wore, that look of a predator thinking easy prey just crossed its path.
"So I hear you like beating up those weaker than yourself? Why is that hm?" She knew the answer. Even if she did what she did for vengeance, she still had more power, much more, than any of these mortals. His answer didn't come fast enough, instead he looked at her, perplexed.
With a grin she watched as his pelt become covered in the wounds of his latest victim. His cries of agony fueling her further as one by one his form became covered in infected and oozing wounds, blood staining his coat as he gasped out in pain, wrenching over and falling to his belly. Only once he felt each individual injury did she spread her wings and leave him to feel the torment he so enjoyed inflicting upon others.
Another job well done. "Who's next?"
Anything else you care to add?: I hope to get a lot of fun vengeance rp out of her and maybe get an alternate lioness mortal form for her to make tracking down and trapping her prey funner. No plans to reincarnate her, at all, and I'd only be up to do a breeding with her if the plot was amazing and fit her character well. Also, I like how you presented her personality, Meep, and do not plan on having her change much, not taking into account slight character differences that come with a new player playing her. Maybe some minor character development, but I love the idea of her being a selfish old b***h who loves no one, and never will.
Username: Epine de Rose Have you read and do you agree to the rules?: 100% How many gods do your currently own?: 1 (Harvest) Prompt Response: To any other individual, the events that had transgressed were relatively insignificant. She had lost the male she desired, he had selected another over her and such was the way of things. All was fair in love and war, or that was how the saying went, and when that other lioness had jeopardised her chances no other had bat an eyelid. It was how the pride had worked, they had said, she should have known better and she should have prepared. She should have checked, she should have been ready for the worst!
Ah, but at such a young and fair age, she hadn't been.
She had been left humiliated, covered in the greatest of stenches from the most putrid mud that her rivals could find. She had become an instant undesirable, one to be avoided, spurned and purged. Her family had even been so embarrassed as to cast her out in shame. They hadn't abandoned her, but from that point on she had been under strict instructions to stay out of sight and mind.
In essence, she had been cursed to a life of spinsterhood.
While others may have lifted their chins and rebuilt their reputation by other means, this particular lioness had elected to pursue another route. She'd heard them say time and time again that she should have been prepared and that her rivals had played fairly... If this was the case, then surely she could return the favour?
Thus she had dedicated her life to jeopardising their hopes and dreams. Out of sight and out of mind, she terrorised them until one by one they had fled in humiliation. Desperate to escape their assailant, they had all left the pride and had found solace elsewhere... except for one.
The crowning glory and the one being she had never quite managed to reach - the queen bee and the individual behind her own downfall still remained. She thirsted for revenge, to place the same humiliation and dishonour upon that lioness. She would have given anything to get within reach, if only for a brief instant to set her rival's world on fire and shatter it into a million pieces... but alas, fate had never smiled on her that way.
Or rather it hadn't smiled on her until today when the most unusual being had graced her with her presence. At dawn the Goddess of Vengeance had come to her, apathetic towards her bargaining chips and interested in just one thing. All she wanted to know was who the victim was - she had know concern as to why such vengeance was desired... It was odd, but who was the lioness to judge what appeared to be divinity?
Alas, she didn't question but with a desire so strong as her's for revenge, it seemed divinity feasted upon it and when the name was uttered, the deed was to be done. The lioness did not need to be within immediate range of her rival that morning, as Divinity herself descended upon her and with her arrival she brought what could only be described as chaos and insanity.
...Whatever Divinity might have done, the shrieks carried far and wide across the pride as her rival appeared to become afflicted by something that no other could see. She was terrified, in agony, in pain. She uttered in tongues, largely incoherent and as the day drew on it became much more public.
Suffice to say that the lioness had received her wish as her rival began to lose every shred of dignity she had, it brought the lioness pleasure, but she would never be able to provide her gratitude to Divinity.
As quickly as she had come, Divinity had left her, seemingly losing all interest in the mortals that existed in this region once she had exacted her vengeance.
Little did the lioness know that the goddess she had met had no desire to bargain or make small talk with mortals. In the simplest terms she held only a lust for the rage, fury and desire for revenge that lurked in the darkest part of a creatures soul. Like a moth to a flame she would descend upon it and devour it, yet once that desire had been satisfied, she would leave to find her next meal.
The lioness had served her purpose and she would never see Divinity again, or rather it was highly unlikely, unless she sought vengeance on such a desperate scale again...
Anything else you care to add?: I'm so used to playing nice soa that it would be fascinating to play something that's apathetic towards most creatures. If anything, for a character to show only show a shred of emotion towards another being whenever they need to 'feed' on an emotion is interesting. I think both gods and mortals would misunderstand her.
If I had the opportunity, I'd quite like to have her 'drop in' on plots involving the Nergui or warbased plots across other prides. The victims are likely to have a strong desire for revenge and I can see her gravitating towards the collective desire for vengeance with a possibility for a LOT of chaos as a result.
I'd like to have the opportunity for her to instill or inflict madness and chaos while she feasts before disappearing without a care. It could set off further wars, deter or caused multiple other outcomes depending on how she strikes but with her being so unpredictable it could go either way!
Regardless, once she's fed she won't care, her impact on mortals would be largely residual.

"Sor.... Sor'en na Kai'i?" a voice trembled, clearly in a sad little state of mind. What a pity to see such a pretty young lioness approach her at a gloom day like this.
Her red eyes rolled around, examining her guest, not really caring if she entered her temporary den. There was word lately about a young lion whom broke the heart of a young lioness, so this one had to be her. "What?" she asked, annoyed. Well, not really annoyed. Just disturbed that she was interrupted in her daily wash. How naive of a stranger to just enter the aegis of the goddess like that, especially without her consent in the first place. Then again, mortals were not taught the manners that she knew, which were no manners at all except to respect her.
Hearing the nasty voice of the goddess, the mortal backed away a bit, casting a quick glance of the super sharp teeth that the goddess possessed. Would she even dare to bite her? "I umm.. I want to seek Vengeance."
Yawning, Sorenna got up to stand forth in front of the mortal. "Now, why would I help you?" she sneered. "Why not just let your guards bring back the lion, princess?" Taking a few more steps forth, she licked her lips. "I know who you are. So why come and seek me?"
Trembling once again, a softer reply came out. "My whole kingdom is gone." she replied, trying to fight the tears away from the presence of the goddess. "He.. he told me that he loved me, but used me instead to lure the rogues into my kingdom!"
"Enough!" she shouted. "I had enough of this. You'll have to pay me to get your task done, princess."
"Wha.. what do you mean? .. Wouldn't me satisfaction be good enough?"
"Hah! Satisfaction?! For me or for you? If for me, then I wish that you would just shut up now! Now, what shall you pay me?" she retracted her front claws, showing that a payment was required since her daily wash was disturbed.
The princess shuffled her paws nervously and then looked at the godess once again. "You may have one of my cubs." She cried a bit. "You may kill him like how you killed your other youngs, but please don't let him suffer." she pleaded.
Her eyes rose, not expecting this offer. A cub? "No." Sorenna snarled. "I desire your current litter." she smirked. "All five of your cubs. That way, you don't have to be reminded of that brute. Hah!" In a way, Sorenna was thinking about her own past, the male she had an affair with,... Dathcharu'kai.... Seitaru'kai... Karma... how was he anyways? Anyhow, she had a new task to do. Give this lioness the vengence that she was seeking... destroying the entirety of those rogues and all of their cubs. This would be a pleasurable task indeed.
Anything else you care to add?:
basically I'll follow the description and guidelines you provided, but progressively develop her over time and RPing. I am active in gaia, so there would not have to the worry about me leaving. One or two breedings max out of her, and I will most likely not ever reincarnate her, but if I will it'll be for a good purpose.

Username: Zohwhee. Have you read and do you agree to the rules?: Yes ma'am C: How many gods do your currently own?: One. Prompt Response:
Sor’en na was bathing in the light of the moon, nestling amongst some thickened shrubbery. She sat with a stagnant sense of mostly factual or logical thoughts on her mind tonight, coupled with a strange half-contentedness, half-blankness. Her legs seemed to vanish in the shadows, whilst her white pelt was resplendent and almost reflective. She lifted a paw lazily to her face and paused. She could hear a whimpering sound, coupled with a hesitant shuffling. Sorenna disregarded it. “No matter.” She thought. “I know exactly what shall be needed of me”, she was drawn into the distance, something was calling her there, so she knew exactly what would be said in the next few moments. It was a smug satisfaction occasionally, knowing that others needed her. Mostly it was indifference, this was her purpose, this was what she needed, what she was built for; and good at. The Goddess wasn’t some kind of savior, and she most certainly did not to do it make others feel more at peace.
As if on cue the small form of a young lion began to creep into the descending moonlight. “H-hello?” He peered into the foliage nervously. Sorenna stood, drawing herself to her full height as if to threaten, but in reality it was only to stretch her wings and looked at him with a fully formed stone look of almost emptiness, but it was not vague, somewhat determined. The adolescent lion flinched slightly. “I-I need some help…”
Sorenna had still not yet spoken, satisfaction crept onto her face and she walked slowly towards him. “Hm, what do you seek?” Her blood red eyes glinted in the moonlight as she looked over him to survey his physique. He looked worn down, his fur matted and legs skeletal. “And how can I help?” She continued, bluntly. She showed no empathy for the young male, but this was strictly a business matter. It did not concern her as to why he was seeking vengeance, just that she was able to perform her job, no, her purpose. “I-I heard you have done things…” He trailed off, eyes falling to the floor. “Made others realize, that they have done wrong. I n-need this to be shown to another.” “Perhaps.” She eyed her sharp claws idly, although they were not used as often as she suggested. Sorenna paused for a moment. “What did they do?” The goddess didn’t care for sob stories, but needed to know a few details as to make the wrongdoers comeuppance much more pleasurable. After a few moments of listening to the rogue stutter and whimper his story to her, Sorenna smirked and nodded at him, without uttering a word. Another few minutes and she was soaring just above the treetops, eyes scanning the scenery for a hint of her prize. A large male, as pale as she was, sat by a small pool of water, happily licking his paws clean. Another figure, smaller, was visible next to him, a female perhaps, shuddering. Yes, that would make sense.
She softly fell to the ground, daintily making her way behind the couple, before announcing her presence with a small cough. They looked up. “What did you do?” She asked simply. The gruff male pulled himself up to full height, unaffected by her sudden appearance. “Me?... Nuffin.” Sorenna began to talk softly. “Oh, I think we both know what you’ve done.” She ended the phrase in a loud snarl, and as she narrowed her eyes the male widened his own, claws digging into the earth.
A few seconds of concentration was all it took. Suddenly the male was possessed by a vacant look, his face fixated in some kind of twisted shock. His limbs began to function very basically, twitching slightly. The mortal lioness yelped and ran into the distant foliage. To an outsider, this would look very strange indeed, but Sorenna and the male knew exactly what was happening, she imagined it as he did.
He was envisioning a loved one, someone as close to his heart as one could imagine, except for the Goddess herself. They were being taken, but not by choice, no, by brute force. The look on the face of his beloved was captured as she was pulled into a darkened cave, and then only screams were heard, laced with terror. The male was then dragged into a body of water, he would imagine the cold, the fear of drowning and the struggle for breath, but not feel it, this was purely a psychological game, but that would hopefully be all he needed. As he watched himself nearly drown from afar, his mortal body was twisting and contorting in shock, as if to run away from what he could see inside his head, from what had taken over his true vision. The male stumbled and fell, paws only partially submerged into the water, but his body pulsated with the need to breathe, chest rising frantically.
Sorenna watched his body twitch slightly and his mouth form the same words over and over. “No.No.No!” and contended she lifted the vision, smiling down at what she had done, feeling somewhat satisfied but with still the same ache and longing inside of her. As the male regained his breath she could make out a hushed promise. “Okay, I’ll t-take her b-back, I will.” Sorenna turned and with a flick of her tail, had ascended into the nights sky once more. Another job completed, she idly wondered when the next would arrive whimpering in front of her.
Anything else you care to add?: I'd love to get her involved with plots with others that need her services. I highly doubt I would ever breed her to be honest, personally. I would have her thrive off the mortal life and their problems, and probably wouldn't RP her with Gods as much. I would not ever forsee her having a mate or family. I'd love to develop her personality, maybe see if she ever could work alongside Gods of a similar domain for a business purpose or such. There's quite a few ideas, to be honest.

She had to stop doing this. The male in question hadn’t made any lasting impression, and it had just slowed her down. Well, one could argue that he had left some impression, even if the cubs would hardly last long. A vulture was already circling downwards, but the Goddess neither noticed nor cared. She was called, and she had been forced to stop for no good reason and it was annoying as hell.
Had she been the type to need friends to confide in, she wouldn’t even have mentioned the birth to them. It was an insignificant part of her day and she seemed to have forgotten about it already. Something more important was on her mind. Vengeance. This time it was a good one, she could feel it. The call was strong, and she couldn’t wait to find out who was calling her with such urgency.
The scene she found was a macabre one, and at first she thought she was too late. She saw a severely maimed lioness, dead, and a couple of broken cubs strewn around. She cursed under her breath, but then one of the little ones lifted its head. Sorenna grinned at this development, but then carefully arranged her features into something that could almost pass for compassion. It was just a tiny thing, but the cub seemed to have a limitless need for vengeance.
“Whatever happened to you,” she asked, keeping her voice gentle. She needed the story for carrying out her vengeance, and she had learned that pretending to care worked quite well. The cub ate it up, and sobbed as it told the Goddess about the bad lion that had killed “mommy” and her siblings. With some prompting Sorenna managed to get a decent description of both the act and the perpetrator. She could feel a powerful rage build up as she imagined the horrors she could inflict on the male. And then the tiny thing asked if she had come to save her. What a buzz kill...
“I’m sorry,” she said (she wasn’t), “But you’re already dead. I am a Goddess but sadly I can’t save you… But I can stay until you pass along completely. I’m sure we can figure out what to do to him, hmm? Don’t you think he deserves to be punished for doing this to you?”
The cub wasn’t “dead” in the literal sense, but it was as good as dead. A cub this size wouldn’t be able to make it on its own. It was better to stick around until it expired and avoid awkward scenes where it tried to toddle after her. And the victim of a crime like this always gave her the best ideas for revenge. Perhaps the pain and dying made them more creative.
When the cub finally stopped coming up with useful ideas she teleported out. It took her half a day to track down the male, and when she was finished with him it took him two days to stop running. She considered giving him another round and see if she could actually scare him to death, but the rage had started to fade, and she could feel something or someone tug her away from the exhausted and broken male. Someone else needed revenge. She towered over her latest victim with wings extended, watching him quiver for a few heartbeats. Then she teleported out.
Anything else you care to add?: Thanks for the opportunity to try to play this interesting character! Veri is a dark-ish Goddess, but she haven't managed to shed away all the guilt about it. I liked writing someone that's not bothered by what she does.
I don't have any characters in need of vengeance, and I don't think she'd enjoy hanging out with any of my characters but I would enjoy helping others with interesting plots! I think there would be a lot of potential for trouble and fun...

It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the birds were singing and the grass was pleasantly springy beneth one's paw pads - all things that most would have found appealing, all things that most would take for granted and perhaps even feel just a little bit blessed for, Sorenna however was not in the realm of 'most' and the beauty of the day she passed through was all but lost on her, she could have been walking in the midst of a monsoon for all the care she put upon the day's weather. Sorenna was lost in a rapture of another kind, one far more important then then any mortal's pitiful conern about the weather and the scent of that oh so wonderful anger fueled rapture drew her on, wrote an invisible path along the earth that she had no choice but to follow, each step brought her closerand she cared not what she walked through, cared not for the journey that brought her there, cared not ever for the creaure that would ultimately gift her with the object of her desire...but only for the rapture itselt. The object was close at hand now - she could scent it in the air, could hear it on the wind.
And never was a sound more wonderful then the soul wretching sobs of the wronged, a scent so pure as the righteous anger of someone with a score to settle. It was the bait she couldn't help but bite for...not that she would try to avoid it if she could, If it was bait then Sorenna enjoyed taking the bite.
Bait turned out to be a male feline sobbing on the grass, beyond those two points Sorenna didn't care enough about him to bother with further classificiation. He was angry and he wanted what she could offer and that was all she needed to know to start the process. Padding up beside the beast she let her shadow fall upon him. "Tell me what you want, who has wronged you?" She prompted the beast, ignoring the way he startled at the sight of her. "Come tell me quickly.." She went on, before he started blabbering about seeing a goddess as mortals had a tendency to do...she had no desire to pander to his short lived incredibility, only to see this through for her own personal pleasure.
"Who..who are you?" The mortal gasped, clearly still having trouble coming to grips with what stood in front of him
"Your vengence...should you stop gaping like a fish out of water and tell me what I wish to know." Sorenna responded with a hint of ire leaking into her voice and a narowing of her eyes.
"My...well she was supposed to be my mate, she had my cubs but she took them and fled, I've lost everything...my heir, my place in my Pride..everything because of her, I want her to feel what it's like to loose everything..." The male finally stated, a gleam coming to his eyes as he realized what it was he thought she was here to do. To right the wrongs made against him - Sorenna didn't care to explain that this wasn't the case. She did not even care for his reasoning behind the desire for vengence, merely for the desire itself, the anger in his tone, the lust for this female's destruction was like a tonic to the Goddess, it was enough to make her shiver in anticipation.
"Good...good, now...you must tell me who she is, what she looks like." Sorenna prompted the male, and the satisfaction that crept into his previously broken tone as he did so was just another token for Sorenna to play with. Having recieved the description Sorenna left..she did not bother with farewells or assurences, she had her mission and that was all she care about. She burned with the males anger, was fueled by his perceieved need for vengence and that burning fuel made her an unstopable force, she cared not how many miles she had to cover, cared not the land she had to trek through to get there, nor for those she saw in passing...he eyes, her ear's, her very being was set soley upon one single being. The female she was tracking.
Thankfully it was not hard to find her, with cubs along she had not been able to travel as quickly as she might have without, a boon for Sorenna...a mistake for the female. She came upon them at night, while the cubs were asleep and the female keeping restless guard. Sorenna padded forward to regard her with narrowed eyes, the males anger buring brightly within. "You have taken from another and such things do not go unpunished." She stated to the startled female.
"I ..what..no wait..you don't understand...He was cru.." The Lioness started to explain after she had regained her composure, obviously she was frightened and wishing to explain herself. Sorenna did not care what it was she had to say.
"Silence! I have no desire to listen to your sob story. What is done is done and the reason behind it does not matter, Vengence is not Justice." She told the female firmly. "Your cubs and all your think important are gone, they lie there dead and there is nothing you can do for them..." She began to curse the female, watching as the curse began to take effect and the females face began to crumble with untold anguish. "You are alone, you have no home, no position...you are nothing, will never be anything and somewhere in the back of your mind you know that this is all your fault." The curse completed Sorenna watched as the female tried to take it all in, began to wail at the sight of her sleeping cubs..whom to her eyes were dead..the cubs awoke and tried to placate thier mother..but the female did not, could not notice. Sorenna knew the curse would only last for a short time but the scars created by that short time would last a lifetime and in that fashion..vengence would be served.
Turning around she walked away from the wailing, confused family, she would find another scent to follow, the temporary high of performing this act of Vengence would not last as long as she would like..but for the moment she was satisfied.
Anything else you care to add?:
I don't expect she will ever breed...unless it is to function as a form of vengence. Forcing a mother who abandoned cubs to raise another's or to punish a cheating mate - it would have to be plotted out and RP worthy and more then one simple RP encounter, certainly it would have to be an extreme case where the nightmares or temporary visions would not work.
Since there are many out in the world of SOA who have been wronged in some fashion I expect that there would be a great deal of opportunity to enact Vengence and I would love to make Sorenna avalible for such things.

Username: Tilly_Milly_wolf Have you read and do you agree to the rules?: Yes. How many gods do your currently own?: Currently: None. Prompt Response: Sorenna snarled, spotting a female with ghostly tears dripping as she sat her ghost butt on a rock outside her cave. She sighed, knowing the female probably wanted to try and do some revenge on a guy or probably her siblings doing something worth it and decided to ask but not in a polite way sense she was the goddess of Vengeance. With a bored sigh, Sorenna walked to the lioness ghost. Wanting to make this worthwhile, she flew on top of her cave, wings stretched out and roared then hoped down and slowly walked to the dead lioness that didn't pass yet. "I am Sor'en na Kai'i, Goddess of Vengeance and i have decided to answer your miserable plea! Tell me, do you wish to seek vengeance on the one that caused your death?!" She called out loudly, wanting an answer. "I lost my mate and children just because he wanted them to be parented by a snitch of another lioness and not know of me because he was mated behind my back!".
Sorenna sighed, for yet it was another wanting revenge for brokenhearts. Deciding to take it, she roared agiand and teleported to where she appeared to the male and attacked him in a trap plainly but terrifyingly, causing him to pass out in one hour but making him scarred along with his so-called children and real mate. Done, she teleported back to her cave to see the ghost leave a message before passed and was thankful it was over till another one came and she had to do it all over again. Anything else you care to add?: This girl is exactly like how my darker side is so me and her are kind of in common. I can be really dark.... Anyways, the path you put her on is the one she will continue with.

It was a hot, sunny day on the savannah. A dark form lay under the nearby shade of an acacia tree, its chest moving up and down slowly, breathing labored. The lion - for that is what it was - was sprawled across the dry grass almost carelessly, left for the buzzards. Fearsome wounds crossed his torso, a fine lacework of claw marks. Even through the shaggy coating of its mane it was obvious that its neck was bent at an odd angle. Stranger still, however, was that it was even alive to begin with. His tired gaze was locked on the water hole that was just out of reach.
Sorenna took this all in at a glance, wings folding neatly at her sides with a soft rustle. It hadn’t taken her long to find the mortal whose very essence called to something inside her - it had rung out across the plains like a bell; urgent, insistent, but quickly fading. While she cared not for the lion’s fate, it was clear that time was short. Death ended all unspoken debts. She was not on a mission of peace, however - she came instead on the brink of his final oblivion, a cup to be filled. Filled, and emptied again, to spill another’s blood across the ground. Her eyes held nothing as she approached, expression devoid of emotion. She waited for him to speak.
As she crossed the male’s line of sight, he tried rearing his head back in surprise - and hissed in pain instead. The rest of him lay unmoving, even as his eyes raked hers with a fire that sparked something in her expression. A hungry, violent flame. A need. From this angle she could see the puncture that had dampened his mane and caused it to cling to the wound. He was paralyzed, and probably bleeding out.
No, it wouldn’t be long now.
“Help me,” he wheezed. If he realized he lay before a goddess, he didn’t show it. He was blind to anything but pain, and started to cough; a horrible, rattling sound. When the fit ended, he continued - not as might have been expected, but certainly as Sorenna had hoped.
“My brother, he...” He took in a slow, painful breath, and recounted a story, in broken and half-articulated sentences. Of a pair of littermates, both upstanding members of a local pride. Of their mutual love for a young lioness. Of violence and betrayal. Sorenna did not care for his woebegone confessions of affection - it was soft, and foolish; it was what had brought this once-powerful hunter low. No, what spoke to her was the quiet rage in his words, the acidic way he referred to his sibling, the hatred blooming in his quickly failing heart. He stopped, finally, all his efforts concentrated on taking in the next breath.
The goddess leaned in close, a whisper blowing hot against his ear. “Let me be your champion,” she purred. She felt giddy, high, overflowing with purpose. His pulse was like candy on her tongue, and each beat of his heart was like another hit. His hatred washed over her like a cleansing fire. She flared her wings, but didn’t leave. The final thing she required from this piteous specimen before her was his blessing.
The lion paused for the barest of moments, finally letting out a whistling sigh. “Yes." He closed his eyes.
~~~
Sorenna had not waited to see if the lion ever opened those eyes again. She had what she had wanted - a mission, a geas; perhaps even a final plea. She took to the skies, heart filled with a blinding fury; finding passion in this borrowed hate.
The brother was easy to find, and she eventually came upon him in the glowing light of the moon. Hunting; alone. Providing for his new family, no doubt. The goddess cared not for their fate- let jackals tear their hides, and vipers feed at their mouths. She approached on foot, a slow, sure smile spreading across her maw as the lion fell suddenly, a fine lacework of claw marks coating his pelt. She reigned in her power, held back, and didn’t award him that final injury - no, death was not as satisfying.
She came to his side, as she had his brother before him, and breathed out gently along his ear. With the breath came whispers; horrible, insidious things. They burrowed their way into his mind, lulled him into an uneasy sleep, and unleashed their true purpose.
The goddess of vengance took wing to a lonely cacophony of pained, terrified yowls. He could escape true oblivion, but he would never be rid of this unlikely boon. The night terrors would ride him to his grave, and the last sounds he would hear would be his brother's wheezing sigh.
The bright moon blinded her to the rest of the night sky, instead presenting a black, empty void. She was a vessel, and had fulfilled her purpose. The cost of using her powers was draining- but it paled compared the growing feeling of incompleteness that overcame her, as the last vestiges of those burning-hot emotions faded. She would rest, and she would take wing again. To find another; to feed. To avenge.
Anything else you care to add?: I'm trying to get into RPing in SoA again - I don't have many lions, but I really find this goddess/concept to be interesting and potentially very fun! I don't have any real intention to change her nature, as I like that it's very raw and elemental. I would love to work with other players to use her powers to further their plots and help me as a player get to 'know' her better! After all, a lot of betrayal tends to go down in the savannah, and it's actually really great that she has no inclination to pride or other loyalties, as she would never have to 'settle down' and could mete out revenge just about anywhere.
Username: bunnyilove Have you read and do you agree to the rules?: I have. How many gods do your currently own?: zero. Prompt Response: Tick tock. The blood ran down the littlest paw onto its mother. The last breath of the child and the mothers tears the came with it. And with it heat ache and suffering but most of all vengeance of a wrongful death. The female sat there and watch all of this as if it was movie, a movie where actually people could care less and this is how exactly the Goddess of Vengeance felt. She was there not to morn over the mortal but to gain her need of what the mother was going to become. She laughed and moved closer, she needed to test the subject before actually persuading the goal that was going to be handed to her.
She moved in thin air to the mother side. “What a tragic thing a child death is,” she said in a sarcastic tone of voice. Test one, the mother reaction. She had to be right, just right, if she was going to grant this mother her wish. Her time was precious and she had to gain more then what it was worth. She had to gain the need, the emptiness, the never-ending peace, and thee creation, which vengeance brought inside of mere mortal. She needed the harvest out of this and she had to be sure that it wasn’t a waste of her time. So, test one had to be perfect for her to go on to test two and then the act of it. What was she going to do if this was just a mere act of vengeance, it wouldn’t fill her constant craving only enhance. It couldn’t just a playful touch of it; it had to be a full act of vengeance and nothing less. If it would be less, it would just be teasing her and she didn’t like that. She needed a mortal that lived for her realm, and then it would be fun. A test of what real vengeance could bring and most of all the feeling it could bring to the goddess afterward.
The mother looked emotionless as she stared at the goddess. As if she was focus on one thing, which made the goddess happy that she had chosen the right mortal for the day. The mother voice was frail, “It wasn’t death it was murder. One that will be revenge till the day I die.”
Perfect, just perfect. Not only did the female display what the goddess wanted but surpass it. The mother was breathing just to revenge her child, now. How…lovely. Test two, the bait. The goddess showed her true glory and smiled. “Mortal, I have come to offer you my help; nothing more, nothing else. If you say yes I will take it upon me to fulfill you request, but if you say no, I’ll leave never to bother you again and go find someone else who worthy of my talents. But, remember if you do say yes, the one who has done you wrong would be suffering for the rest of their life. Are you really willing to revenge your cub, even it causes harm to the one who has done this, for the rest of their life? ” She said, with a straight tone of voice.
She had to be sure and she had to know if the mother was truly only living to revenge her cub. Once again, when she looked for a job to please her needs it had to be perfect, something that didn’t toy with her. She had to make sure that the mortal only live to revenge what they had lost and then truly the goddess would have pleasure of seeking and having vengeance on the one. She waited until the mother spoke, watching to her to see what her next move would be. “Yes..” was all that the mother got out before the Goddess disappear to fulfill her need of her beloved vengeance.
Anything else you care to add?: Well I haven't been in soa in awhile and been trying to get back into rping and I know she will be the jump I need. I would love to play her and I have a lot ideas that I want to rp try to developed with her. One, is maybe someone having vengeance on her from pushing out one of her other mission or whatever. I would love to rp it out and see how this would toil with her. As I see her as almost haunted or cursed by her domain as it has made her almost like in a since a drug addict to it. To be forever trapped with the ever lasting craving of finding vengeance and the thought of another lion or even maybe another god, to have vengeance on her perplexes my mind to no end. I really like her as is right now so not much in the change in personality I see because I enjoy rping her as is. I also would like to maybe plot her in maybe taking vengeance on pride from another pride which might cause a war or something which would make more fuel for her. So maybe she could almost due this herself to satisfy her need. I also have another idea, of seeing how she would react to not having her need filled in awhile. Like would it drive her mad to do very irrational out of her norm or maybe something else. There is a lot of thing moving around in my head about her.
"What... What do you want?"
This mortal had some guts. Where so many of them just cowered before her, this one looked her right in the eye - albeit distinctly wary. Sorenna noticed it the way she might notice a mosquito bite: It flitted across her awareness but didn't stick.
In response, she merely pulled her lips back to reveal a little too much fang for her expression to be called a smile, and met the mortal's gaze with almost seductively lidded eyes.
"Oh, but this is not about what I want." Her voice was somewhere between a purr and a soft growl. "I have come to hear what you want."
He took one tentative step back. "What I want?"
She observed him, but didn't stir an inch. "Yes, dearie." She paused for a moment, gave him a little time to wonder. "You have been wronged, haven't you? Someone has made you very, very angry." She felt her blood begin to rush when his eyes suddenly looked beyond her, into his own memories, and his expression darkened deliciously.
She softly took one step towards him. Her skin tingled with anticipation, and the sensation made her purr - a quiet, ominous sound from deep within her chest.
"Tell me. What kindled this flame in you? This fire that eats at you, burns and stings you so that you can find no rest even in sleep, this bitter pain that makes your food turn to ash in your mouth? Tell me." She took another step, thrilling at how her words made his face grow darker, his jaw clench with anger.
Her voice lowered to barely more than a whisper, trembling with barely contained rage. "Tell me. What is it that chafes and pricks you, night and day? Who thrust this thorn into your soul? What have you suffered? Tell me."
Finally, he looked up at her again, and she felt her heart leap at the sight of the dark flame that burned in his eyes. Oh, yes.
"My brother's mate. She never liked me, but she went too far when she let her petty feelings lead her to..." He paused, and his gaze turned inward again as the dark flame leapt deliriously in his eyes. "...She destroyed my son! She hurt him just to hurt me, because she knows she can't touch me in person." His voice was low, controlled, but thick and heavy with hatred and anger. Sorenna shivered with anticipation as he went on. "She took him into the woods and left him there. Told him the hyenas would get him if he cried. We found him after two days, barely alive, and he hasn't been the same since. Starts at every little thing and won't say a word above a whisper. If anyone should burn, it should be her, not me. That female is a monster."
Sorenna laughed, a mirthless, threatening, throaty sound. "Indeed. And I shall grant this for you." He looked up at her suddenly, with so much dark joy that it made her laugh again. "I will make sure she feels every second of what your son suffered, alone and abandoned in the dark forest. I will trap her in a nightmare of fear and torment. Rest assured," she paused, gazing deep into his hungry eyes. "You will have vengeance."
"Oh, goddess..." He gasped, gazing deeply into the hate-filled voids that were her eyes, as if he saw something beautiful in them. "Thank you! Thank you!"
"Oh," she purred softly, "no need to thank me, dearie."
The first strike, as if by an enormous, invisible paw of unfathomable strength, landed right across his face. He staggered back, eyes suddenly groggy with confusion and pain. "What... What...?" The other blow hit the side of his head, a sharp, invisible claw raking across his cheek leaving a streak of dripping scarlet behind it. He yelped and cowered. "Goddess! Wait! I don't understand!"
Sorenna flexed her wings a little and draped her tail neatly across her paws, not for a moment halting the hail of invisible blows that beset the lion before her, tossing him around like a dead baby antelope. "You don't? You don't know what it feels like for a cub when a big strong male starts to 'teach him to behave'? You don't know the pain and anguish you caused your brother's son when you beat him within an inch of his life because you didn't like the way he spoke to you?" Her eyes flared with rage. "Or have you already forgotten that little incident? Well, the cub's mother has not. Nor will the cub, ever, I think." Her voice rose to a hateful growl. "It is only fair that you should suffer the same! Pathetic little mortal, only able to strike out at those who can't strike back! Well, I can strike out at anyone, anywhere, and vengeance will be served!"
When the lion was well and truly pummeled, and lay panting and bleeding and occationally whimpering on the ground, Sorenna got up and walked over to him, gently leaning down to whisper soothingly in his ear:
"Don't worry, dearie. I will give you vengeance, just like I said. And do remember that I always listen. Raise your son well, and make sure that he knows who to hate, who to blame. Don't ever let him forget what was done to him. Make sure to kindle the flames of hatred in him as well, and in time, when his thirst for revenge is sincere enough, I will be back to hear him, too." She raised her head with another throaty, mirthless laugh. "I can see this go on for a good, long time yet." She tilted her head slightly to the side as she unfolded her wings. "So... Thank you, I suppose."
Then, with a bloodthirsty grin and a mighty beat of her wings, she was gone.
Anything else you care to add?: eh, no, nothing, really. I got inspiration and wanted to write it out... But if I were to actually win her, I'd love to help other people's plots along. She's a deliciously dark character, isn't she? Edit: Hey, I just thought of something. What would happen if someone wanted revenge on Sorenna? Universe-exploding paradox? Nah, she'd probably just dismiss them... Stupid mortals don't understand how the game is played.
