Meris-Perrin made his way though the woods. He had heard rumors, of a spirit hidden somewhere in the forest. Normally he didn't believe in silly things such as spirits. However he felt that really, he had nothing to lose to meet this so called spirit, because really what is a spirit to a nonbeliever.

He had heard of the spirit from a fellow traveler. The traveler said that the spirit could help solves problems in life. His problems were, different, and he thought that he could use some directions. He knew family wasn't the direction he needed to go in. So far he left his family twice. It wasn't something he was proud of, but he knew they would do better without him there.

He thought that maybe, if the spirit was real, he could see if she could help him fix his past, to make it so he didn't feel guilty all the time. Until he could leave the past behind, he knew he would never be able to be happy. If there was away for him to be forgiven of his past sins, he would do anything to be rid of them.

The thought of a powerful spirit able to help him seemed ridicules, but he had tried other ways that didn't work. There was a chance, that maybe if anything he could get pointed in the right direction. He didn't have to have an answer to his question, but even a suggestion of what he should do was nice.

He thought that maybe he could put his beliefs aside for just a moment and just pretend to believe.

Mother... She hadn't seen her in so long now. That the 'spirit' of the water was becoming more violent, and all because? Mother was gone.. Elle had been sleeping with her body half way in to the spring and half way out to exhaust her traumatizing visions. Her mind was warped and tattered, and had finally lost the sense of 'reality' and the truth of being 'alive'. The world she lived in, involved the things of the past- and future.....not the present and not her. Merely just a 'spirit' whom delivers the message.. Feelings, attachments, hatred- emotions. Things that would normally would be displayed, she had none of that.. Elle, was more like an empty shell to be used by her mother. THAT was what she was. That was what she will ever be..

But others found out about her.. and her abilities..

Little did they know the terrors that could inhabit one without emotions. Regret- morals. Without those things, danger would be written in to your future a lot more quickly..

Elle, did not know what it was like to live on land. Leaving, was not an option... and if so, she would need to be drenched before leaving any short of distance. Likewise, equally dangerous in the water than out. This cheetah didn't process the power nor logic that came with hunting on land... her approach was much more violent but she only ate when her body deemed it absolutely necessary. Or when mother told her to.. thus...

A waterbuck, ventured too close... too near to the spring.. Idly lapping at the water and making ripples when it had laid completely still... Time passed.. The waterbuck had no idea. No clue.. Then out of the water in front of it- like a crocodile would, she out stretched her paws and pulled the buck in.. Land creatures..

The struggle for breath ventured on for what seemed like hours but it was only seconds to minutes before the rush of padding up and struggling for its life came to a horrifying end.. Being kept under until it died, and had started to float up to the surface and made its way on to the shoreline.. Water must be pure... Mother said. So when she pulled the body out of the water, and pulled the buck away.. Her violent hunger showed when she mauled half the body... but it didn't take long before her fur was getting TOO dry- thus she quickly fled back in to the water leaving the corpse at the shore.

A quarter eaten.

As he wandered deeper he thought he could hear the tinkling of water. He decided to see if he could find a pond or a stream to drink from. As he went closer to the sound he thought he could smell blood. The sent put him on edge. He didn't want to trespass on another's hunting ground. Right now he could not handle conflict without losing it.

He walked carefully, still wanting some water. As he walked he thought he saw a spring in the corner of his eyes, but when he looked over nothing was there. He hesitated before moving on. His eyes had never played tricks on him before and he hoped they wouldn't start now.

He decided instead of using his eyes to find his way, he would try and smell the blood. With his eyes shut, he began to smell out the blood. He walked slowly, to avoid any trees or bushes.

The smell became strong and he could hear the water much better. His eyes opened and he saw a spring. He let out a gasp when he saw a cheetah sitting in the spring. It wasn't common for him to run across such a sight. It took him a moment to see the waterbuck. It was what he smelled, he thought looking at the creature.

"Are you okay?" he asked the cheetah.

The twilight painted the sky of oranges and purples, but beneath them, laid something that was about to explode. Shadows danced across the trees. But no, the shadows were not to blame this time. It was indeed a being just beyond. He would be in for a surprise soon enough... and if gods were wanting amusement, her mother made her the target of such laughter.

When the blood drifted down in to her body.. She could feel where it was going. Her senses were remarkable that way, and then the visions.. Her body jerked forward as if to throw up, then she tossed her head to each side, the sight must have looked like she was in pain, and ailing.. But this was merely the visions. Merely the emotions of what the waterbuck felt as it kicked for its last breath. Its last ounce of life, she relived it like a memory, then the visions of the past of that animals made her scream...

When in the water, the visions suppress, but she had eaten. The blood of that animal, that touch of skin to her lips drove her in to every past and every possible future that left her to start racking at her head. Claws grabbed and pulled at her long mane that draped over her side and face.. Unlike most cheetahs, unlike them- this cheetah had blood of a goddess within her. His question didn't reach her ears, but her screaming like- shrieking pierced through the trees and echoed throughout. It didn't stop and the pain she felt and relived from the waterbuck didnt let her go..

She needed saving, she needed mother. Then the waters, started to ripple then thrash the more violent she had tossed her body around to try and push the sides of her head. Instinctively trying to suppress the visions.. Like a Siren- she ailed the ears with tiredless screams.

Merris wasn't sure what to do at first. She was in pain, that was clear enough, but he was worried to get to close. He didn't want her to get hurt because he tried to help.

His ears pulled back as she continued to scream. "Please tell me how I can help you," He yelled louder, stepping closer to her. His feet entered the water. He gently placed a paw on her, hoping to help calm her down. "Is something hurting you?"

He hoped his words would reach her over the yelling. His quieter voice was as loud as he could make it.

Watching this cheetah be in pain caused him to feel sick at his stomach. There were many times when he saw others lying on the ground, withering in pain and he would just walk by. However he wanted to be a different cheetah, one who showed compassion even when he didn't feel it at all. He wanted to appear to be a better cheetah then he actually was.

He went deeper into the water, in hopes that he would be noticed.

The ailing and screams continued til the vibration of the water was felt against her sensitive skin. After the constant cries, it came to a stop, one eye lifted.. twitching before she quickly jumped in to the deeper part of the pond.. Usually by now, someone normal would have tried to gasp for air but not this cheetah. It took a long few moments before the water stilled.

Not to be mistaken.. this pond had depth to it.. and like an alligator, the cheetah had laid on the bottom and slowly made herself over to where the male was. Starring up at him.. Waiting... Like a predator... Slowly she started to crawl up the ridges of the pond where he was... and finally.

She had made it to the top.. and at his paws.. slowly she rose. Up close, like sirens, beautiful.. with the blood of a goddess in her veins, she radiated a sense of attraction ..something.. odd and alluring.. Her red eyes zoned in to his.. as if looking in to his soul, while hers seemed endlessly in an abyss like state. Slowly she climbed til she was at his face level, and literately not touching him.. but so close that even he even blinked, they would touch lips. Personal space, she didn't grasp the understanding of..

Yet as she stood there, half her body in the water and the other half this close to him.. If not a centimeter closer, they would be kissing.. Her fur, slicked back perfectly, and her very essence.. was heavenly.. Her eyes of ruby...

It took them a long moment there before she slowly rose her paws to touch him... Whispering incoherent words.. Low.. so low that even at this close of a distance, was hard to hear.. She touched his paw gently. Then.

Very few words were spoken that were clear. Things of his past..
[ Insert exert that we can later fill in what you would like her to know about him ]

Before She pulled him under the water quicker than he could move to get away. The pure surprise leant her the ability to use the weight force of both of their bodies in her favor to do so.. The splash afterwards rose almost higher than imagened..

It was like he couldn't move his eyes off her. She was something he had never seen before. He watched her as if in a trance, his heart racing quicker and quicker. As she moved closer he felt a sudden calmness run over him. And then her paws touched his.

When he was pulled down into the water, he completely shocked, at first he didn't struggle, because of the confusion. He just watched the mysterious cheetah. He wondered if she was really even a cheetah or some sort of strange being in the shape of a cheetah. That couldn't be right, he thought.

As he went deeper, he started to struggle to get free. There were many skills he had, but swimming was not one of them. As he tried to get away from her, he could help but want to get her out of the water. He wanted to help her, no needed to. If he could save her maybe it would make up for his past mistakes. Instead of struggling, he held onto her tightly, and motioned his head up, hoping she would start swimming up. He did his best to try and swim upwards, though he struggled to do so.

Soon she would grasp ahold of them and pulled them deeper til they died and then bring them up.. Maybe. Skeletons were spread across the depts of the lake.. But not him. Something about him... his images were quieter than most. Her insanity was clarifying and with the water ... serenity was felt... Something different than her trying to silence the cries and the memories and futures of those she touched. His were in order.. neat.. and organized.. not jumbled in to a mess...

She saw him struggle but she pulled him down more..in to her world... When felt his weight thicken, she came up to his face, her mane waving about inside the water as she gave him the 'kiss of death' the same motion often used to kill, was now her giving him life....

Breathing in to his face as her maw wrapped around his snout tightly. Breathing... then she pulled back and looked at him innocently, yet still so blank as she pulled him further down to show him her collection of bones... from prey animals to lions, the most fierce of them all even cheetahs, thoughs that had may have run beside them like brothers.... She wouldn't get too close to them.. He would have ended up like them.. but she turned to him.. With a smile on her face, wide and excited over her kills..

Her lungs were strong but still she was a mortal and slowly she brought him back to the surface.... swimming elegantly up, even twirling him around as they brought the lake's surface. She, did not gasp for air, merely a humming sound of collecting it within her nose and not one bit exhausted from it. It was.. as if she were meant to be in the water more than land.

"Do you see their secrets... heard them..Feel them.. don't get too close.. they will see you.." She whispered, somewhat in a slight craze of low vibrations of sound. Mostly everything she said up til this point of her life was in riddle, almost closely relating to the jumbled visions and memories of those she had killed or touched. She wanted to quiet the visions. Killing them would quiet them.. They were suppose to..

Softly she pulled him closer. "Your quiet.... your quiet..." Referring to what she had saw of him...They were not loud, not like others. Filled with screams and agonizing pain. Softly rubbing her paws in to his mane.. The water hitting their faces, slowly they faded in to a stilled water... Shadows began to dance around them.. but if only were the trees that surrounded the lake that would play this mind games. Having stayed in the middle of the lake, far from shore..

A sound was heard, the bushes moved and quickly she pulled him down to just his snout could reach air to hide him as she zoned in on what was coming to her lake.. The rustling began to chime louder and louder.. Til..

Everything felt like it was going in slow motion. Each movement they made was once of grace and precision. Even his struggling was done elegant under the water. His eyes grew large when she kissed him, giving him breath. He inhaled selfishly, knowing that he did not want to end his life here. Her face seemed so innocent and yet, he looked at the skeletons that lay at the bottom of the pond. He could have ended up just like one of them.

When he made it to the surface he gasped for air. He couldn't remember it being so pure. His mind was racing, unsure what was going on. This cheetah, she wasn't like any he had ever met. Dangerous, yet innocent. He wasn't sure what to make of her.

“I don't know their secrets. And I don't think I want to know.” He answered quickly. “Are you alright, are you hurt in any way?” Even if she had tried to drown him, he knew that he had to make sure that she was fine. She seemed okay physically.

Then he was pulled back into the water. He could breath at least, he though. It seemed something had startled her, though what he didn't know

I couldn't think of a character that would fit. D: I could use Kyros if needed, though he wouldn't pay that much attention to Ellephora and would mainly focus on attacking Meris. If you want me to add Kyros, just pm me or poke me in the thread and I'll add him.

Gunna put Rada because she was assigned to bring seers back.

She was baby sitting Aadia this time. Not to be confused with the beautiful Abila. Much time passed since the cheetah had united by paw with her husband and retired from her entertainment missions. Now, Rada was stuck with a child of the seer's- hoping to locate new seers. With her informant not too far from here, they'd heard rumors of a 'water spirit'. A powerful seer cheetah, that could predict whatever one wished, and nine times out of ten, it'd be right. With that kind of power, Rada could finally disregard being someone else's guard and be with Ajani. Maybe even move in rank above that of a fighter currency.

Between the rustling of the bushes... she lowered her body. She had been watching them for only a short amount of time. Sometimes she would find the cheetah in the island, sometimes she wouldn't find her at all. Today she was hoping to bring her in. Rangle up this 'catch' and get her bounty but when she poked her nose out to see.. No one was about. Then she had heard a voice that made her slowly move forward enough to check. Showing herself... Lowering her body to see any signs of life.

"Woah..." Wide eyed- she looked at him, and the softness of a smile creased ear to ear. "I'm fine. She's not." Pulling him up to the island, but not ever stepping foot on it. Then she circled around to look at the cheetah that had disturbed her area and quickly brought herself up in one sweep to the island in the middle of the lake. Every part of her fur dripping down, her long mane flowing down majestically.

"I heard you were a spirit." Rada spoke and slowly came up to the edge where the ground stopped and only a few strides across the water was the island. "I need help." Which was both a lie, but she had heard that this seer was so strong it had almost drove her mad. Special precautions were needed.

But unlike many before her, Rada was unknowing of just how powerful Elleporah really was. She only saw visions and it was hard to see through someone that was in front of her but at the same time- could see the visions of individual. "Ajani- trouble trouble..." When she could sense other intentions at work - she lifted her foot to stop Meris from getting on the island, something was amist and her over protective wants and needs did not want to let him be shown. Just yet.

"Come ~ COME......~~~~~" Her voice was alluring, "Hear the secrets~ oh so many~" Seeing Rada tell Abila to push away her lover. Or the many times that Ajani and her escaped to be with one another. A troubled soul... the secrets they hid. The lies. Was it time, to put the deceiver to death?

Her words made him shudder. Staying hidden, he looked over to see who she was talking about. The cheetah had swirl markings like him, like his sister. He stared at her for a moment then back at the spirit. “Don't hurt her.” He hissed to her, doing his best to remain unseen. He didn't want to see anyone get hurt.

Part of him wanted to keep white cheetah away from her, but at the same time he knew that the spirit was stronger then she looked.

If the spirit did attack her, he would jump into action, he decided. He just hoped that it wouldn't come to that.

She needed to convince the 'spirit' to come closer. "I can't- can you come closer? I'm sick and I won't be able to swim.."

"Well- swim you must..." The spirit replied with much mysterious and filled with alternate motives.
Rada could smell danger.. But she needed to act- If she made the cheetah come here- it'd be easier but the prize for such a strong seer.. Maybe she may have to swim and grab her. Her prize would be her beloved- and the fact that the spirit knew Ajani- well that meant that the price on her head would be significant. "Alright.."
Ella watched with intent.. as she remained still until the other white cheetah jumped in. And as soon as she did... Ella jumped in right after her. What Elle didn't know- was that Rada knew how to swim- and VERY well.
Which Rada soon realized that she would have to do that ASAP when she saw the other swimming towards her life a fish. A smirk crossed her maw and as soon as the other circled around her then tried to suffocate her. She grabbed the cheetah-twisted her around and headbutted her so hard that she was instantly knocked out. Maybe no one ever tried to beat her at her own game? Likewise- she grabbed the spirit by the scruff and hauled her over to where she had first jumped in. Making sure that she didn't see anymore linger bystanders... As soon as they made it up to the surface- she hoisted the cheetah on top of her back with much struggle. "Time to collect my prize ~~~ <3" Rada chimed happily.

The would forever mark her as something more than just a peacekeeper.Wagging her tail and shaking off her long mane out of her hair which was matted down to her face now- stopping for just a split second to remove it.

Merris watched in quiet horror as he watched the situation unfold. When he saw the white cheetah headbutt her, he felt himself swell with fear. As the white cheetah dragged her to land, Merris started swimming, revealing himself. “Get away from her!” He snarled as he swam. He couldn't let anything bad happen to her, she was different, almost unworldly.

He wasn't a fast in the water, but thankfully the stress of the situation propelled him. On ground, he stood tall and bore his teeth, trying to look as intimidating as he could. He didn't want to fight, he had given that up. However if he had to fight in order to keep the spirit safe, he would do so. His claws were pulled out and he was ready for the fight.

“What do you want with her?” He said staring right at the white cheetah. Her markings were similar to his sisters, he thought. In his search to find a purpose, he had seen few with markings like it. However now wasn't the time to wonder if he had found a relative. His priority was to keep the spirit safe. “I will not let you take her.”

He would give her a chance to retreat. If not he was ready for a fight.

Rada turned around when she heard a male scream at her. The look on her face was priceless- as if she were about to dart away but carrying this seer was SO MUCH harder than it looked. Eyeing him up and down... Emotional connection- not there. He didn't call out her name- means he didn't know her. Rada tilted her head. "Who do you take me for." She then laughed. "Um. Excuse me." She laughed again- turning to him fully. "I am guessing just by how you didn't call her name that you don't know -her-. As you can plainly see~ she should not be in plain sight. She didn't put the cheetah down. "I am a peacekeeper in my pride. We've heard a lot about the type of damage this -spirit- can do. Frankly this cheetah seems deranged and she needs to be restrained. Do you understand? Plus, we have a doctor that could help her. Just because I nabbed her doesn't mean I'm a bad apple."

Defusing the problem. THATS what she did best, "If you're worried. You should come with her. If you're not- I suggest you mind your business." Lifting her chin and examining his body movements for some sort of way to tell if he was going to let down or really fight her, if it's a fight he wanted- Oh he would get it. In a heartbeat. "Those fangs- you can put those away. They could mean your death." She didn't have to seem threatening. As long as she knew what to say and how to say it. Letting go of her defensive aura and in to a calming one.

While the two spoke. Elle was simply laid limp with no life on the back of this female. The 'spirit'- was more or less an icon to these parts. To take her away- what could be- and won't be may disappear. They didn't know the consequence of their actions, but maybe it was their salvation. One could never tell- especially for one so gifted. Yet she laid on the back of this female, it was the most peace she had gotten... In peace was when a lady looked most beautiful..

He hesitated. It shouldn't be this hard of a decision to make. He should rescue the spirit and get as far away from here as he could. However he should have known that he couldn't attack this cheetah. She had his sisters markings. There was a chance that she had the answers to his questions about his sister.

But could he just allow her to take the spirit in hopes of finding information on his sister? He looked at the spirits limp body. “At the bottom of her lake, there were many bones.” Merris said thinking of the many lives she must have taken and that he was almost one of them.

However he had felt a connection to her. He wanted to keep her safe. She knew so much and he still had so many questions.

“I'll go as long as you never allow her out of my sight.” He said, staring at the pale cheetah. “I am her protector. It is my duty to keep her safe.”

It was a split second decision that he knew he wouldn't take lightly.
