The prize and the missingThis is the sick fellow with the snake bite and the fever. He is wandering around in a fever and has gotten himself in a hidden cove under some brush; laying and trying to cool down. He cannot respond to his friends cries.... The rules and how to play -I will random a number and the object of the game is to randomize that exact number. The person who rolls it first will have the SOA who finds it and they get to keep the male! -Simply randomize the appropriate amount of numbers each post. If you roll the number; edit your post to find the male. -You do not have to own a Navi to play. You may play out the rp in any sort of creature that is appropriate for africa; as long as they are not on lines. You may also play any familiar you OWN; just play it off as they are traveling through.

The very worried female's name is Ean menar and she will be played by me. She and the male were traveling together and she lost him. And she is worried; wandering around the Iknimaya being worried and scared and alone. It may take a short amount of time for her to open up and get help; but she is desperately scared for her friend.

Here is the beginning post.
Please follow gaia's rules and keep in mind some sort of posting order. We don't want repeats. Quoting specific people will help keep conversations between one another if needed.
The number I roll is the number you desire.
She was very upset now. Not only had the strange pale lion with the wounded paw promise he wouldn't move until she returned with water; but he had left no trail for her to follow. She was beyond upset. She was hysterical. She had been there when the snake bit him and she wasn't sure of specifics (as in what sort of snake had done the damage) but it was poisonous. It was making him sick. And she knew that.
She was walking along a slightly warn trail; she figured it was from game and not from a pride. She was mumbling to herself about various things... where he may be... how to find him... how long it would take and if he was even alive. She paused and sat to shiver in fear and in nervousness.

The small baboon had been wandering for hours, he was lost. He sighed as he glanced about nervously, unable to recognize anything around him. He spotted a pale blue-furred lioness not far ahead and wondered if she might possibly be able to point him in the right direction. Right now, Koe was wishing that he hadn't told himself he knew where he was going when it had still been dark and kept going. Now, it was obvious that he didn't.
He cleared his throat as he approached the lioness. She seemed distraught, he noted. "Excuse me..." The small, dark-furred primate said, stopping a fair distance away from her. He'd been chased by lions many times to know how much space he'd need in case of an emergency get away.

"Are you alright?"
Zalios'akys' voice rang out quietly. The youngster liked to view herself as a fearless explorer, a lady to be reckoned with, but she was still only a child and when she first heard someone shuffling around, she balked and hid inside some thick underbrush. She'd been wandering a bit too far from her family, after all, and she wasn't looking for a scolding. This stranger seemed sad, though, upset, and that made the youngster worried. Maybe it was a little too stupid or a little too bold to expose herself, as she was too small to do much in the way of fending herself from older lions, but she was genuine in heart and often acted before thinking.
She saw a lioness who seemed like she needed help, so that was what the youngster was going to do. Help as much as possible.

Nili settled onto the branch of a tree and sighed. She was exhausted from flying but she was on her way back to her friend Ardhi. He didn't really like her but she didn't care if he liked her. She was keeping her promise to watch after him even though she had to do it from afar to keep from getting eaten.
She ruffled her feathers and shuddered a bit before she began to clean a couple of the feathers on one of her wings. She wasn't too interested in what was going on below but she wasn't out right ignoring the going on's below her either.

Kal might not be a very eager warrior, but he truly did care about his pride. He'd learned how to attack, hunt, and track well, and while his heart was not in it for the battle-rush (which was just as well, as so little conflict seemed to happen), his heart was committed to defending his people and their ways.
Thus it was when he heard a small ruckus, he approached with caution. He didn't think this area was used for much except perhaps hunting, but that meant that this could easily be a problem caused by strangers. His tailtip got a little fluffier, but he steeled himself and crept closer, his pale mane preventing him from properly blending into the surrounding foliage.
What he saw was a distressed female he didn't recognize, a youngster he did know was of the people, a bird hanging out above, and a strange primate. He narrowed his eyes and stepped forward a bit, so that only half of him was hidden in the foliage, his ears pricked to see what was going on.

Zalios was, needless to say, quite cheered and comforted by the fact that one of the pride was present. Maybe he wouldn't rat on her for being so far from home, but she didn't let worry over the oddness of the situation and her own wandering paws to mar the intrigued look on her face. Steadily, the young female made her way to Kal and puffed out her chest, doing her best to put on a brave face.
"Stranger, Kal." Was all she murmured to him as she brushed against his leg. The stranger hadn't answered her or the baboon yet, but it was more than obvious that something or another was wrong. Maybe Kal would want to help, too! Those of pride were generally pretty nice.

As the hyena walked along the path that she was not so used to - banishment - she laughed as she remembered the face of her father when he found out that she was to be removed from the family pack. For what? Simply not wanting to become mates with a certain male. Well, now she was alone here, trying to find a place of her own. Chuckling, she stepped on a twig, enjoying the crackles that it made. Oh, what good her life would be now!
Walking a few more distances ahead, her nose crinkled as she was able to detect fur near her. Fur? Hyenas? No. Lions and other creatures? Curiosity stole her mind and she followed the scent down to where it lead her. To a group of lions and baboon and bird. What a strange gathering this was. Eyes blinking, she fixed her focus on the beast they seemed to all be staring at - a lioness.

Koe glanced about suspiciously at the other creatures as they seemed to gather. He found it strange that many were able to sense one in distress. As the lioness had not yet paid him any mind, he instead paid his attention to a bird he had noticed landing in a tree near the lioness. He stood on his hind legs and pulled his hands close to his chest. "Pssst! Hey you!" He whispered, gesturing at the avian. "Whatchoo see, eh? What's all the creatures doin' 'ere?"
The strange-looking primate shifted closer to where the bird was perched, watching carefully around him, aware of the other creatures in the area. He wasn't worried, but he was watching. Baboons were incredibly well-equipped to defend themselves, but Koe hoped it wouldn't be necessary. "Hey bird! Hey bird! Whatcha sayin'?" He jeered, trying to get the birds attention.

Nili glanced over to the baboon as he called her bird. She had no idea exactly what he was talking about and really didn't care that much. She was a polite bird though and despite not caring she just faked it. "I'm sorry. I didn't hear you sir. What were you wanting to know?" She asked while finally glancing down to the lions below. There were several but she had no idea what was going on with them or why they were grouping up.

Kal was surprised to see the young female arrow towards him so determinedly. And she knew his name! Well, he supposed that wasn't terribly unusual, but unfortunately he himself didn't pay much heed to the little ones, and couldn't tell most of them apart from each other. Still, he gave her a solemn nod in acknowledgement of what she had said. Stranger indeed. Well, now it was up to him. He was still the only adult lion present, and even stranger company was gathering. The primate was talking to a bird, and here came a hyena. He bristled at the hyena, for often where there was one, there were more, and if the lioness was injured, they were a real threat.
He might not be good at it, but he knew his duty as a guard. He bounded from his semi-sheltered spot to land on the path beside the distressed lioness. "Careful, miss," he cautioned her, moving to stand between her body and the approaching threat. To the hyena, he called out in a louder voice, "Leave her in peace!"

'Rauri was growing frustrated. The huntress had no idea why she'd agreed to help with this little project, but there was no getting out of it now. She hissed at the rustling of leaves behind her and turned impatiently back toward the lion she was attempting to teach. It had seemed like such a good idea at the time Zimo thought with a sigh as he yet again made more noise than was acceptable. You should learn to work with others, Zimo, Ezili had suggested. You knwo Rauri and little through mom, so it'd be a great start. She's also a wonderful teacher when it comes to hunting. I learned a lot from both her and mother when I joined them. He wished now he had swallowed his pride and joined in the training with Clermeilli's children rather than waiting and needing private lessons. He was a good hunter, on solid ground. Here moving through the highpath of the pride's home his nerves still got the better of him from time to time and even the slightests rustle could ruin a good hunt. "I'm sorry Rauri. I know I should be better at this by now." And he really wanted to be better at this by now. He had reasons one of which was a desire to settle down and raise some cubs of his own. He was proud of his role as a babysitter, but wanted to be able to prove himself in other ways worthy of a mate especially one born to the pride. The lioness smiled reasuringly past her annoyance. She had to keep in mind that in many ways the babysitter was much like his charges. Not that she wanted to treat him as a cub, but she did need to remember he required as much of the basics as they did. "I'm sorry Zimo, I forget how little chance you've had to travel away from Hometree. Let's forget about hunting and focus on movement for now, ok?"Zimo smiled back and nodded. Rauri was a surprising lioness one minute she seemed so gruff and mean and the next she was offering kind understanding. He'd also seen her at some of the prides celebrations completely happy and carefree. He shrugged off the thoughts and followed as Rauri continued on.They'd been moving well and were reaching a point that Rauri thought it would be a good time to turn around and try to find some prey when the sounds of voices nearby caught their attention. Together they moved swiftly and settled in close enough to observe before revealing themselves.

The baboon bristled as he again heard more rustling. So many creatures...He shook his head and turned his brightly colored face back to the bird. "You know what's goin' on? Do yah? How many are here, can't you see better?" Koe was incredibly curious. This was a strange place for a gathering and there seemed to be a tension and disconcert looming. There was obviously something wrong with the lioness.
Koe grabbed the base of the tree that the bird was perched on, stretching his neck up toward the bird, watching her, but also watching the other predators out of his peripherals. He lowered his head and eyed the foliage where he was sure he'd heard the rustling of more creatures approaching.
