Abarai Renji.

Abarai Renji grew up in a poor area of Rukongai. He travelled around with his friends stealing food from various shops. He later got in trouble for this, which led to his meeting with Kuchiki Rukia. They quickly became best friends after this, and after an encounter with a Shinigami, they decided they would join Seireitei as Shinigamis themselves.

They trained for a long time and managed to get into the Gotei 13. Renji joined the 5th squad. Directly under the command of Aizen Sousuke. However he was later moved to 6th squad under Kuchiki Byakuya. He then managed to achieve the Vice Captain position.

His Zan-Paku-To is called Zabimaru. Throughout the series he has learnt both Shikai and Bankai.
Shikai: Hoeru (Howl), Zabimaru
Bankai: Heheou Zabimaru (Baboon King)

Aizen Sousuke

-Note: Aizen is possibly one of my favorite characters in the anime.-

Aizen Sousuke is the captain of the 5th Squad in Seireitei. When he is first introduced in the anime not much is known about him. He is shown as one of the nicest captains there. He is calm and collected and has great compassion towards his squad members (5th Squad Vice Captain Hinamori). However, in a later episode he vanishes during the night and is found dead at the top of one of the Seireitei towers. After hearing the scream from Hinamori, a few of the other vice captain's run to her aid, including 3rd Squad Vice Captain, Kira Izuru.

This was simply part of Aizen's master plan. He used the Shikai of his Zan-Paku-To to get everyone in soul society under complete hypnosis. Thus making them believe that Aizen was indeed, dead. However it was later revealed that he was never dead, but he needed a diversion in order to be able to move around easily. I would divulge in the full details of his master plan but that'd be a bit of a spoiler.

Despite Aizen's first appearance, he is shown to be a complete psychopathic murderer and also ridiculously powerful. He shows this through attempting to kill his Vice Captain and also the 10th Squad Captain, Hitsugaya Toushirou. He later beats Ichigo and Renji with great ease.

Now time for Zan-Paku-To Info.

His blade is called KyoukaSuigetsu. At the moment he hardly uses his sword so next to nothing is known about it. However he has revealed his Shikai.

Arisawa Tatsuki

Tatsuki is Inoue's best friend throughout the entire anime. When in the Human world, there is rarely a time when they are apart. She was not able to see ghosts until she was attacked by the hollow of Inoue's brother. After that day both her and Inoue have been able to see ghosts, hollows and Shinigamis.

She trained in the same martial arts dojo as Ichigo when she was young, however she was always better than him. Tatsuki first made friends with Inoue when at school. Inoue was being bullied and Tatsuki gave her the confidence to grow her hair long. They have been best friends ever since.

Asano Keigo



Keigo is one of Ichigo's best friends at school. He is rather excitable and jumps at the slightest things. He is also described as "Very Annoying" by his other friends.

Not much is known about Keigo, only that he is good at overreacting.

Ayasegawa Yumichika

Ah at last we get back to the Shinigami. Yumichika is first introduced in his fight with Ganju, shortly after the groups arrival in Seireitei. He is shown to be very uptight about almost everything. He makes it his first priority to look good at all times. His dislikes include ugly faces. This makes Ganju the perfect person for a comedy fight. As Bleach continues you find out more about him. He wants to be the 3rd seat on the 11th Squad because he thinks it's the most beautiful number. However that is taken by his friend Madarame Ikkaku. So he decided to be 5th seat because it looks the most like the number 3 (In japanese).

Yumichika's Zan-Paku-To is called Fujikujaku. He hardly uses it in a fight unless he releases his Shikai. I've heard that he has achieved Bankai in the manga but i'm still unsure of that.

Don Kanonji

Don Kanonji is my LEAST favorite character in the entire Anime. He is even more annoying than Keigo. He says most of his words in Katakana (The english words e.g A bus in japanese is pronounced BASU). He started off as the host for a hit television show 'Holy Ground Drop In' where he would fall from the sky shouting "Spirits are always with you!". And of course everyone adopted his trademark laugh.... Pronounced "BUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!".

He now commands the elite team of superheroes known only as the Karakura super heroes. They also have a mascot (Kon) who the call Karakura king.

Hanakari Jinta

Not much is known about Jinta.... He is a mysterious boy who works for Urahara Kisuke. He works closely with a small girl named Ururu (A difficult name to pronounce if you aren't japanese....) but he seems to bully her at every oppurtunity.

He has the ability to see plus spirits and hollows, as well as Shinigamis. He has also been trained by Kisuke to attack and destroy hollows, however, Ururu has proved twice (In both manga and anime) that she is far stronger than Jinta can ever imagine (She almost killed Ichigo with a single kick, and in the latest episodes, she kicked one of the bountos dolls and almost destroyed it. In the manga she also took down an Arrancar).

Anyway.... Back on track.... Jinta was one of the competitors for the position of Karakura red in the Karakura super heroes team.

Hinamori Momo

Hinamori is the vice captain of 5th Squad, working under Aizen Sousuke. In the early episodes she treated him more like a lover than a captain, however this was all part of his evil plan. In any case.... She was tricked by him and later stabbed by him as well.

When she first found Aizen 'Dead' in soul society, she went berserk and immediately attack Ichimaru Gin, who was the number one suspect. She was interrupted by Kira Izuru, who told her countless times to stop, however a fight ensued and she released her Shikai.

Her Zan-Paku-Tou is called Tobeumi.

Shikai: Hachike (I think it means split snap [Thanks to a member of the guild.] .... Correct me if i'm wrong though) Tobeumi - Her Katana transforms into a long blade with several prongs leading off of it. It looks pretty cool if you ask me.
