Aquila stretched as she awoke and yawned. The sun had not yet risen over the land of fire, and the n** in the air was quite different from the sun-beaten day that would yet follow. Aqui was happy to get up this early- she always reported to the soldier's training grounds early in hopes of being present at the very moment that something happened. If troops were needed, of course they would be awoken, but the pale lioness wanted to be there right at the beginning of the action- to catch everything. Battle always instilled in her excitement, and it was always tinged with fear- perhaps what made it so exciting.
She lived and breathed for it, and for this pride that felt the same as she did, that understood it.
She made her way across the cool sands to the training ground, looking around for another figure who she could talk to or spar with. More likely spar.

A snake was curled up in the sand, in a spot sheltered by a rock. No lions would step on it there, partly because a lion had put the rock there. After being sure the snake was safe, Keahilani went and found a spot, beginning to stretch. He knew from experience this made his muscles not loose but more taught... And he liked it that way. It felt like he got more of a work-out that way, because he had to use more effort.
With nobody there to see him so early in the morning, he took the opportunity to do something his mother'd been sure to teach him and all of his brothers and sisters - He began to move through the slow steps of a dance, practiced now and then to perfect the grace of movement. When he'd begun to take the dancing seriously as his mother did, he'd found that his fighting got better, his movements more nimble. It was an amazing feeling, truly, something he enjoyed.

Aquila had just made her way onto the grounds, surprised to see another figure here. A lion, doing some slow movements. From a distance, it wasn't exactly easy to make out, but as she approached a little more, she could tell he was doing some sort of dance. Though, it wasn't quick and playful like that rogue she had dueled not long ago- the movements seemed liquid, slow, and deliberate. The lioness would assume one of two possibilities for this behavior- the lion had a flare for the arts that was not appreciated in the pride, so he had to perform in the dark alone in shame, or… The more likely option- it's a stretch or meditation of some sort. Seeing as she was where she was- in the Firekin- the latter seemed the more reasonable, so she ran with that.
Though, she had to admit, she could see why he would want to do this in isolation. Still, her desire was still not to sneak up on him, but she did want to be here too. She cleared her throat before saying "Hey, mind if I use the grounds as well?" She was sure, now that she was closer, she'd seen him before. Probably in training. But she knew that she didn't know his name, nor had she had a conversation with him.
