Some of my extended family members are going through trials and tribulations.
1. Baby M is having developmental difficulties. They speculate autism or brain damage due to birth trauma.
2. Cousin K is a 45 day rehab program for using pot and abusing prescription pain pills. I was lucky though because I got to see cousin K this thanksgiving, though the visit was only brief. Cousin K was behaving well and they granted him a 12 hour pass to visit his family.
3. Cousin D, who is cousin K's older sister, is not making good life choices right now. She quit college when she had a full scholarship and is now working at a gas station. Furthermore, her mother has concerns that her boyfriend may not be the best influence in her life right now, and she has to deal with the turmoil of having a brother in rehab. Did not get to see her because she was with her bf for thanksgiving.
4. Cousin KT recently broke off her engagement. The guy was not abusive but cousin KT just thought that the relationship just wasn't working out that well. It may be that he was pressuring her into starting a family when she felt she was not ready.
5. Cousin T (my father's side of the family) may be abusing drugs.
I love all of my cousins and my large extended family, but they do not seem to be making good life choices right now. Please pray for them all. And obviously I am keeping their names private since these situations are all quite sensitive.
