The Plan
Chaka here is the only Battlemaster in the Firekin, and that is about as ambitious as he has ever been. He worked hard to get where he is and continues to work hard to keep his competitive tendencies in check (it's not always easy to remember that losses are learning experiences too). He's been a Battlemaster for a while now and so he's going to be trying to focus on the additional tasks that earns him: mentoring.
So! Chaka is looking for Firekin soldiers interested in training with him. Eventually, he will accumulate enough regular training partners that it seems silly not to officially become a military unit on their own. Making Chaka a Captain.
Wanted
Any and every soldier interested in training with Chaka will be welcome, eventually they will be invited to officially join his team when that take off. Since my hope is for the team to be quite large, most of this will not be RPed. The RP required to become official will probably be a general roll-call so everybody can get a post in.
Skill level is not the primary quality Chaka will be looking for in his team members. He is happy to train with anybody who wants to improve, but he would not hesitate to tell anybody who is clumsy and incapable that they might be better off in a different rank.
The one thing Chaka will not tolerate in a bad attitude. Bad winners and sore losers will be kicked off the team. He works very hard to keep his own attitude in check, reminding himself almost every day that even losses are valuable learning experiences, which is why he's more sensitive and intolerant to it.
Other
- Shisa, Chaka's sister, was a major part of his training and they still frequently work together. She'll be no stranger to the team and, chances are, will be the one that suggests the official team formation.
- Team name is tentatively going to be Wildfire.
- You're welcome to post ICly unsuccessful teammates, if you have someone with a bad attitude that might try to join up and later be kicked out, that's great too. IC fun for all!
- I may be interested in finding a cub/juve for Chaka to take on as an apprentice, too.
- To join the team, your Firekin must be a Soldier. Just post their image/info here and give me a blurb about them!

Ruber has had a bad couple of duels impress upon him that he is not, as he had previously thought, "all that" and that there are several lions who are, quite simply, better than he is. Losing is a new and unwelcome experience for him, and he would much prefer that it never happen again. Thus he is seeking out Chaka, the Battlemaster, in order to learn more about combat.
He really, really hates being humiliated, but even though he hates losing, he'd never act out under most circumstances. Just...go and brood by himself.
