He drew back into the shadows of the alley with a tight grimace. His eyes jumping from faekat to faekat. The evening had finally settled, but the crowds were still thick and Sirius hadn't found anyone worth questioning. There were plenty of smiles, frowns, hugs and other exchanges of emotion. Sirius had remained untouched by any of it. The loving gestures of the couples or the low growls between enemies...none of it swayed him emotionally.
Which is why it fascinated him so much.
How could perfectly intelligent souls act insanely for something like love? Jealousy? Hatred? None of it made sense, but he thoroughly enjoyed watching his own subjects from day to day to try to understand their actions.
Now he stood, empty handed, after a long day of trying to find a new subject to study. He let out a short breath as he shifted his weight onto his heels.
