Appearance & Behavior
Most oldblooded members of the pride are lithe, tall, and fast. The felines are unlike their flatland brethren, they are more adapt at fast, precise movement and hair pin stops and turns. They are longer in limb and for the most part shorter in fur, except the mains and tails.
Cheetahs are the main body of the pride Lions and leopards are not unheard of but not any of the higher classes except in rare cases nor prevalent
The are rather reclusive and contained as a people but when they celebrate they go all out. Parties will always have a great amount of food and drink, both normal and fermented, dancing, music, and games. As a people they do not like to fight, they can but don't and only those who are trained extensively in the art of war are found to regularly fight/practice.
Names & Colors
Names are generally in elvish or Latin. The pride members are normally one of two kinds when it comes to colors; dark, shadowy, and green with pale mains and tails OR pale white or yellow pelt with the pale mains and tails.

Marriage & Family
A marriage is to be celebrated. When two decide to become one the whole pride rejoices although it is up to the couple whether a party occurs. Inner clan marriages are common. Adolescents can be betrothed but not married. Not all couples must marry or even wish to marry and that is ok as well. Divorce can occur when both parties believe it would be beneficial to move on. A short ceremony occurs where the wedding gifts, if they are given, are returned and the one who married them, normally a clan elder, sanctions the split. This can be done OOC to accommodate lost players.
Since there is little to no deviation in the gender roles, a Queen can rule just as well as a King, there is no issues with same sex marriages. No one is 'the wife' while the other is 'the husband'. Although if the parties involve wish to name one a wife or husband it is no business of the pride in general. Surrogacy or adoption are a valid way of giving such a couple children.
Births & Deaths
Children are exceptionally special to the Tal'Quessir as the old-blood found that having children were difficult, one or two per litter every few years if that. With the intermarriages with the rouges this problem has fades somewhat but children in general are still cherished by the pride. No child will be orphaned nor abandoned... someone will raise them. Flings are ok, not loved but not forbidden however adolescents can not have children since they are still children themselves.
When a child is born of a inner clan marriage or fling the child is a member of the mother's clan, unless the parents wish to part of the father's clan, until they are adolescents and can choose for themselves. This being said when a birth is announced a celebration is given in honor of the occasion although mother and children are not expected to attend. If a private event would be preferred the rest of the pride will just celebrate elsewhere.
The Tal'Quessir do not believe in death... rather they believe in returning 'home', the land they originally came from. The one who has returned 'home' might one day return and as such is not truly dead.

The Gods & Other Species
The Tal'Quesir have no set Gods nor worship any one in particular. They are partial to the crafting gods, healing gods, peaceful gods, and artistic gods but there is no one god the whole pride prays to. An individual may if they wish but as a whole they are seen as beings who are helpful and useful... baring the chaotic gods such as rage.
Familures are seen as companions and helpmates. Rabbits, snakes, serviles, klipspringers, genets, and birds can all be found in the pride's lands. Normally helping a member of a clan with there work like rabbits or genets might help a healer gather plants while birds and serviles would help the scouts.
Even though the pride is mostly cheetahs, lions and leopards are not a foreign sight. They came about with the influx of rouges way back when the Tal'Quessir first appeared at the falls. Hybrids are also not unheard of and are more likely then lions and leopards. They are not seen as less, except by a few that need a stick removed from a tender spot, and are in fact welcome due to their special traits.
Pridal Celebrations
Other then births there are four main celebrations the pride holds.
Vernal Equinox and Autumnal Equinox - The days when all things are in balance. Any child born on this day will be seen as a exceptionally balance individual. While they might not be destined for greatness they will be well rounded.
Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice - The two days when night is the longest and the day is the longest. These days are seen as the two turning points of the seasons. The winter celebration will last throughout the night while the summer one will last through the day.
