 [ You are entering to win the only boy of the litter! ] HAI! And welcome to an awesome event full of rainbows and other cool things! This is a newbie contest open to members of SoA who have 5 or less SoA of their very own! This contest is going to be a little different than most, giving everyone who enters a chance to earn many tickets based on their strengths. So why not follow down a bit and check it out? ------ But first ... how about we start off with a little information about the family! • Daddy - Depawsit: Mlinzi here is a real sweetheart, though his children will sadly never get to know it. He's a member of the Kitwana'Antara and as such is burdened to stay within the pride. He's an Apothecary, specializing in salves. He is especially good at making the salve that sometimes preserves his eye sight for a short period of time. His main goal in life is to protect others from pain, illness, and heartbreak. He does his best to make everyone he meets laugh, and he's actually quite the gentleman. Mlinzi will never know of his children, and his children should never seek him out. • Momma - Tara: A very sweet-heart in attitude. She enjoys climbing on top of mountains to just feel the breeze in her fur. Sometimes she pretends she really is a dragon instead of a lioness by jumping from ledge to ledge or diving into water from great heights to feel like she is flying. • Sister - Mindra - Depawsit: Mindra was lucky enough not to inherit her Father's eye troubles, but she does inherit his eye color. It sometimes causes others to look at her funny, and she's very uncomfortable with the looks. She sometimes finds herself wishing she was blind, and on occasion walks around with her eyes closed to avoid the awkward gawking. Mindra is a sweetheart but she's incredibly NOSEY! She loves sticking her nose into anything and everything she can. Just to find out what everyone's up to. She'll likely become a huge gossip late in life, but for now she's just utterly annoying xD • Sister - Paiva - Ovarian Paint: She has inherited a sensitivity to the sunlight with how pale colored her orbs are, this leaves her to play with herself a good portion of the time in the shade, she longs to be able to play in the sunlight with the other cubs but this hardship as a cub will make her a wonderful future nanny as she will have all sorts of wickedly wonderful stories to lull rowdy cubs down to slumber in the cool shade. She will be a real gem, a good hearted girl with a passion for story telling. • Half Brother - Depawsit: Ghubari is your brother from another Mother! He lives in the Pridelands with his adoptive parents Samwati & Sarabi and his adopted siblings. Ghubari is a serious whiner, having been coddled by his Mother to fill the void left by his Father, he finds it hard to go on without her constant attention. Ghubari suffers from his Father's illness in that he is colorblind. So he may not recognize the similar coloring on his siblings coats. It is OK to interact with Ghubari as a brother =] Being as the cubs are meant to stay in the PL, it is highly unlikely that they will ever encounter these half siblings. - This is a newbie only contest! Meaning you have to have 5 and under SoA to enter. If we find out you have more than 5 then you will be disqualified. :c sorry but rules are rules.

Alright story time folks! Gather round and here the story of Pumbaa'Mlinzi and Pandra!
Mlinzi | Kitwana'Antara
Mlinzi was born the only survivor of a litter of 6. His Mother passed during birth, and he was given to another nursing Mother in the pride to raise until he could fend for himself. As he grew more independent it seemed to others in the pride, that he had beaten the odds and been born immune to the pride's disease. But they all spoke too soon. He began to develop problems in his eyes, he couldn't see as well as he once had, sometimes he couldn't see it all! As a young cub it frightened him to be so vulnerable to the elements, but a tip from a sweet lioness led him to the lead apothecary, who was able to form a salve that could preserve his eyesight if only for a short time. It was then that he met his best friend, N'seka. The two formed a close bond, and still do to this day. N'seka always encouraged Mlinzi to further his efforts as an apothecary, even going as far as to be Mlinzi's living experiment. The two share quite a few memories of those mishaps and rewards.
As the two grew older, Mlinzi's disease became more prevelant. He now has very weak joints, and his paws tire easily with walking. Though his nose is as sharp as ever. Now a days he only sees thin vague shadows, it anything at all. Most times, he can't even see that.
Mlinzi lives his days lying around the pride's safe borders, welcoming travelling rogues and listening to their tales of adventure throughout the world. He often finds his duties as an apothecary useful to those he meets along said borders. But he dedicates most of his early day to his pride, taking care for those who can't do it themselves.
Mlinzi actually met Pandra on one of his long stays along the borders. He had just formed a salve, allowing him to see vague colors. As he was heading to his normal spot, he came across a lovely bed of flowers in many vibrant colors and he childishly flopped into them to enjoy the fragrance. That's when Pandra found him. She giggled at his boyish charm, and joined him in a frolic in the flowers, which soon resulted into something more..
Pandra | The Pridelands
Pandra and her two brothers didn't really have that much interaction when they were growing up as they were off doing their own things. Pandra was really close with her mother Myrina unlike her father who was never really apart of her life. The day came when Pandra wanted to go off and explore what the world had to offer. It broke both her mothers heart as well as her own to be separated but Myrina understood what her daughter wanted and with sad hearts they parted. Myrina now lives in Ela Lands; Pandra does not know this. When Pandra reached adulthood that she found a permanent home in pridelands. It was there she ran into a male and a young pridelander cub whom welcomed her into lands. From then on she has remained happily with the Pridelanders living her life day by day

Prompt 1 Your eyesight seems to be pretty bad. Or does it? Your Mother won't know unless you tell her! She's worried for your well being, knowing of your Father's illness. She frets over it constantly, how do you feel about her worry? Is it warranted or is she just stressing for nothing?

I've just gotten my first SoA, and I'm already addicted. @_@ Coming up with her personality and such is already becoming great fun, so I'd like to give this a try!

Future Name for Boy: Kuangaza
Meaning: Shine, Illuminate
Personality: Kuangaza would take after his mother and therefore would be a very kind child with a vivid imagination. It wouldn't be uncommon to see him playing alone, eyes closed tightly and quiet murmurs escaping his lips as he played out various situations in his head. While the other cubs might find it weird, he could always keep himself entertained.
Possibly Plot ideas: (can be in bullet points)
exclaim During one of his "imaginative sessions," a cub/pride member approaches him, curious as to what he's doing.
exclaim Wanting to play a game for two, Kuangaza looks for a partner.

Future Name for Boy: Kuchujuka, "Kuchu"
Meaning: Fade
Personality: While he didn't gain any sight problems from is father, Kuchu was born very weak, due to his genes or otherwise. When he was very young, he was often too weak to play with his siblings, causing him to become withdrawn over time. Even though with age he's gained a bit of strength, it's hard for him to do any heavy activity that involves running or anything of the sort. He worries that he'll be only a burden to the pride once he gets to the age he's supposed to hunt. Even through the worry and shyness, this little cub still dreams. He one day wants to help the pride and others somehow as best he can, though how... he's not yet sure.
Possibly Plot ideas:
* He feels like he's not going to be a good help with the pride and consoles in an adult pridemember!
* Somewhere along the way, he discovers he has a talent caring for others. Possibly expand on this later? Perhaps he has a natural talent for healing like his father.

Future Name for Boy:
xxxxx Rangi'joka
Meaning:
xxxxx Swahili for "color dragon"; picking up from both the mother and father.
Personality:
xxxxx Often times mistaken for an adult personality, Rangi is very, very serious. He finds that due to his fathers "disappearance" from their lives, that he has to be the male in charge of his family. That being said, he often times tries to boss his sisters around in a way to keep them "safe" from any harm. He highly dislikes the fact that his mother does not have a male by her side, and tries to act as the father figure to his sisters, as well as show his mother that he will be a very strong, confident lion that can take care of all of them without a problem. He is carefree when not worrying, and often times can be seen trying to mimic his mothers dangerous stunts ( though usually they stop him from jumping too high ). Rangi is loving as well, and enjoys cuddling with his sisters and mother whenever the chance is given to him.
Possibly Plot ideas:
xxxxx⇢ Rangi'joka wants to think of himself as a "dragon" much like his mother. I would love for them to have some "mother/son" time to explore that aspect of his life.
xxxxx⇢ As time passes, an RP where his mother and him sit down to talk about how he is trying to be an adult, instead of a cub.
xxxxx I don't have any SoA yet, and am still new to the entire shop, so please forgive if this is kinda... off? I'm still learning, and plan to progress farther as time goes on. :3
